A couple wins against cans and then a loss to anyone good and retirment again, this senior show in boxing blows, ain't everyone hop.
Antonio is better than Hopkins
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver

Stick to commentating.
Can't. They fired his ass
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver
He's 45 and fighting in a division no one cares about haha

I still wouldn't mind seeing him KO'd....he won't fight anyone worth a damn though. I doubt he'd even fight Adamek if he was given the chance. He'll more than likely fight a bum here and there and either lose a decision and retire, or get busted for PEDs again.
Tarver-Toney in their days wouldn't have been horrible, but if it happens now it's just going to be a joke of a fight.
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver
I think Toney would have beat his ass worse than Bhop did. I never thought Tarver was that great. Caught an ATG in Roy Jones at the right time, other than that hasn't really done anything.

Tarver called RJJ out after RJJ won the heavyweight title. RJJ fought him, beat him fair and square, and Tarver demanded a rematch...he was calling out Roy until he won vs Roy. In Roy's Prime, Tarver would have been lucky to see the second half of the fight.
Antonio Tarver is a 1 trick pony and built his career on 1 win and a Rocky movie.

I'd hope that a career long LHW would look better in a common win against a guy who fought most of his career at MW, retarded logic that Tarver is better than Hopkins when well Hopkins schooled Tarver and shits all over Tarver's resume ;D
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver
I thought Tarver was a better commentator than boxer. He is actually really well spoken and articulate, and I think he could have become a real good commentator with more time.
Too bad he fucked that gig up for himself.

Agreed 100%.
Gotta love Tarver, how does he capitalize on knocking out one of the greatest fighters of the last 50 years in a huge upset? He loses to Glen Johnson.
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver
I thought we were losing a good announcer for Showtime when they canned him until Paulie came in and blew the doors off it!
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver
Gotta agree, Tarver is good but Paulie is better.
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver
Magic Man to face MIke Sheppard on FSN1 11/26..
Get your beer and wings ready cuz it's going to be poppin..
BTW.. Tarver is alot better than Paulie at commentating..
Re: The return of Antonio Tarver
I have $2.99 that they are throwing him in with Wilder, or Ortiz from the card. Either way he's cannon fodder at hvy.

I hope it's Wilder....I want to see someone gloat over Tarver getting KO'd. Tarver is one of those guys I just want to see KTFO like that dude who kept jabbing when he was on the canvas or like when RJJ KO'd Serwano.
