It would appear Former Commonwealth Champion Sam Sexton & Sherman 'Tank' Williams have also signed up to compete.
What's the use of this tournament if it won't be to showcase young and up coming talent? All of these guys have passed their prime many, many moons ago. Some of them never had primes. Some of these guys never really was. I mean, what are we doing?!!?
Replace these guys, Sexton, Toney and Williams, with Helenius, Jennings and Scott.
It's uk v usa so heleianus won't be in it , I would like to see price on the uk team as he needs to rebuild his career

Not a big fan of these 4 round tourneys and especially for all of these seasoned guys. Slower starters of more careful guys almost enter the ring down 2.
They are all prizefighters. They can enter or abstain. It does seem a little pointless for the older guys but for others it is an opportunity. Will not suit everyone's style but it has led to big fights for many previous participants. Don't really know what Sam Sexton possibly dumping Toney on his arse will prove. Toney is past his ripening date ? Sam is more than a busy well used sparring partner? The US is now below the UK in quality heavyweights? I think Eric's right it's just entertainment.

Problem is he is still competetive. He fought Lucas Browne this year who is huge and supposedly a massive puncher. Toney had him wobbling in the fight and wasnt bad for shape he was in. He lost on activity.Quote:

You cant stop someone fighting because they arent the young fighter you want to see any more. Toney used to lose every other fight when he was young anyway!
If you stop someone like Toney fighting youd have to stop all the journeymen that are needed as fodder for inexperienced, novice pros who are learning.
What's this all about then? I don't understand any of this. Toney can be in shape for this and not his previous bouts? Makes no sense to me. I hope he does well, but I've no idea what is going on anymore.
