Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
Kudos to burns for making this rematch.. beltran is going to beat him easily.. I guarantee it
Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
Beltran couldn't stop Burns last time even though he fought half the fight with a broken jaw.
Burns started the last fight like an idiot, he was loading up on everything as though he was a puncher. And his timing was way off. Can't believe he'll be that bad again or make the same mistakes.
At least Beltran gets another shot.
Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
That's good news I'm a big burns fan but I did feel for beltran. I would still pick burns to win he's had two bad outings in a row now he knows 1 more and it could all be over for him.
Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
I gave burns the first 2 rounds in that fight, and I scored it a draw, everyone gave Beltran rounds but he was just throwing flurries and mitring nothing but arm.
I think as long as burns doesn't snap his jaw, he'll win with comfort.

Ridiculous
Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
Looks like the rematch will finally happen. Set for Nov-17 in Vegas. WBO eliminator.
Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
Beltran is a tough, hard, durable fighter who always gives it his all.
Hope Burns wins but think he may lose.
Burns has surprised me many times though.

Yea not really a rematch I was interest in at this stage, but intriguing none the less. Cross roads fight. Loser should start thinking about hanging them up. Beltran gets a shot to correct the wrong.

Burns has shown himself to be tough, hard and durable himself always coming back when you least expect it. A true Scottish warrior who is more a skilled boxer than bruising fighter.
Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
Burns is a massive over achiever for me.

Burns is in fact a quality boxer his performance against Kevin Mitchell was brilliant. Burns is a quality operator and he is very much under rated.
Re: Burns to rematch Beltran
They didn't waste any time bouncing Beltran from the wbo rankings, I don't see him at all???. Mid November seems a quick turnaround off of being pretty dominated. Wasn't he cut also?

That's what I was thinking, apparently Burns' manager confirmed it yesterday.
Arum probably hoping Beltran can pull it off so he has a backup plan if Mikey/Loma falls through.
I did read that Arum and Robert Garcia (he trains Ramirez, who Top Rank promote) had talked briefly about putting Mikey/Loma after the Pedraza fight.
Arum talking all the belt unification and PPV, saying its big enough to make sense.

I just wonder if Arum was talking out of both sides of his mouth and floated it prior to a largely unforeseen loss to Pedraza. Either way love to see Beltran get his just due with Burns but a very high hill to climb if Arum thinks he can sell him as back up for Loma if Mikey doesn't happen. Lots to unfold first though so lets see how Beltran bounces back with Burns.

Yep, never believe anything these guys say until it actually happens. At least they have started talking about it. That fight makes the most sense.
I think this fight is very close. Beltran may be the slight fav at this point. You can never count Burns out tho.
