Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Is he nuts? what happens in this fight
-
Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Don't see why. I think he'd probably put up the best fight anyone Fury has been in with yet, not sure he'd win as it doesn't look like he hits hard and Fury is decent and much bigger. Certainly wouldn't be a bad fight as they go though.
-
Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
I'd like Fury to take it, but than again I would of liked him to face Pulev too! Doubt Fury would take it, seens lots of tweets about this to Peter Fury but he hasnt said anything which makes me think they don't want it. I think they want Fury against a more high profile fighter when they should be looking at more contenders.
-
Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Seems like Fury is getting some credit for Haye pulling out:dontknow: He isn't a cert to beat anyone good really imo, and certainly not above fighting the likes of Ruiz.

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Ruiz smashes the overrated Fury

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Say what you want about the Mexican Truffle shuffle...he's a pretty -accurate- puncher and has combination speed. Ruiz by tko within 8, and I can actually tolerate Fury now..

Giants can be caught & chopped. He should label himself the Jolly Green so Baby Huey will go away and lose his appetite...start singing in ring ballads about tofu patties and gym memberships or some shit???

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
It's a good match. Hope it gets made.
-
Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
i think that ruiz wins it. fury is a lot more raw. i see fury getting frustrated.
-
Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
I like Ruiz, he has fluid hand movement, puts combinations together beautifully for such a fatty and he will be dangerous for anyone for a few rounds at heavy.
I dont think hes a heavy though. He could get down to cruiser.
He hasnt been tested. He is facing the kind of men that Tyson would get criticised for, yet theyve both been pro the same amount of time!
Is he a name yet? Would he sell tickets? Tyson was scheduled twice to headline a box office event, Ruiz is not known at all to general sports fans and would look like a bum in any promotion photos.
It would be a decent match up but I dont think it would sell. For such an anti Fury forum, the opinion in here is that Fury would be too much. Ruiz has been ok against fighters with no ambition, power, skill. To jump a level to Tyson could be like Price jumping to Thompson.

I dont over rate Fury at all. He has the beating of most of the division and that is the truth. That is not over rating him.
Maybe Haye over rated him;)

And your reasoning for thinking this is that he beat Steve Cunningham, who'd lost 3 of his last 4 and 2 of those were at Cruiserweight (and this made him a top 5 Heavy) and also for beating Kevin Johnson who lost in Prizefighter to Tor Hamer of all people.

What he asked was who apart from peter fury and you rate him, well the answer is nobody, you are blind to the fact that only you rate him , he has a dodgy chin , very little power and is easy to hit. But your love for him prevents you from seeing it.

The WBC have him at 8.
The ring have him at 5.
Boxrec has him at 4.
He would have been number 1 in IBF had Haye not fucked him around and hed fought Pulev and beaten him. Even if he lost, he would have been in their top ten.
So Al, stop being bitter because even independant ranking systems have him well up there ;)

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Fury has had a lot of practice against Ruiz twin brother John McDermott. That has to hold him in good stead.

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Fury has an inflated rating and it does not make him world class , Johnson had fought nobody since vitali , and Cunningham had multiple losses , both are light punchers , which is why they were chosen , anybody with a brain can see that , peter manfredo got a shot at Calzaghe , was he top level no , but he was rated.
Yes fury holds a rating , but he is light punching ,easy to hit and has very little power . That is a fact , and when he fights a world class puncher he will be knocked out very quickly , you seem to take haye pulling out as a victory for fury , the fact is he has run his mouth off so much he will soon have to fight someone with power , and he will get knocked out.
He can have a shot at wlad tomorrow for me because the sooner he fights a puncher the better. He is a big lumbering fool.

Exactly. Jr is at #2 at 168 and has not even fought at 168. All you need to be ranked in the tanked hev division these days is to join it.

Or in Tysons case, beat ranked fighters which he has:rolleyes:
I am bitterly disappointed that Fury didn't get to smash Haye! Its no victory for Fury to be lured away from a final eliminator and have a year out!
Fury would have given you lot something new to cry about after he beat Haye. You all thought Froch would have no trouble with Groves;)

Firstly we all didn't think that froch would steamroll groves , secondly beating 2 fighters who shouldn't be ranked in the top ten and hand picked because they had no power isn't a great achievement.
Keep watching because he will fail.

What does that have to do with my response? I picked Froch to shit kick Groves just like 95% of the boxing world. So! What does that have to do with the ratings system in this sport being an absolute fucking joke? And btw did I pick a winner here? No I didn't.

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
I just read my prediction on the froch groves fight.
I said I will go with. The champ but groves will give him all types of problems , froch may even have to climb off the floor to win. Froch in 7.
Well once again Ross you are incorrect in your view.
-
Would like to see this fight. Ruiz has good hand speed, good combs and takes a decent punch.
It's a tossup in my opinion, Tyson would be tested to the body and Andy would be eating some good jabs.
What I can't understand is why Ruiz wants to fight at heavy? He's at a size disadvantage and the extra weight doesn't help either. Maybe 'Two Ton Tony' is one of his heros.

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
I rate Fury but I think he does have issues of drink and depression and the Haye mess may have knocked his career which was going well again after a few inconsistent performances. I hope Fury does not think he is a PPV fighter and wanting to command those sums of money for fighting. He should get back to fighting and staying busy.
Ruiz is good but Fury would beat him with relative ease.

I have never seen much of Ruiz to pick a winner.

Spot on with that, he's got ability but we're still waiting for a defining fight where he puts it all together. I somehow don't think he'll react well post Haye, in the interviews I've seen with him since it all fell through he doesn't look like he's got motivation to stay in shape or train.

Re: Andy Ruiz calls out the monster, Tyson Fury
Ruiz hasn't proven his power at the contender level. Fury has experience and it would be a step back for him

The guy should not be allowed to come out public in boxing trunks. He should have been cited in the ring for indecent exposure. The kid is grossly obese , looked like Sponge Bob square pants big ol' fat ass, square body with quick welterweight arms and skinny legs
-
To be honest, Fury is an intriguing guy. I just want to see him fight. I thought Hamer was going to control the softy Ruiz but he ended have having 0 heart. I just want to see Fury in the ring.

I didn't. I picked Groves to win. I even had a sig bet with Tam Seddon.

Well Ross just talks utter crap if you go against his boyfriend fury. No proof or facts to back up the blinded view.

Most times I have seen Haye unscripted on tv he is visibly drunk and has such a flawed character he seeks fame by being a celebrity.
Fury has no such problems, while he may be seen as knobhead because people don't like him, he neither seeks to be your friend or hides past indiscretions.
