WBC tourney if vitali retires
Time for old man vitali too go
If he does no bullshit mandatory with Stiverne
8 man tournament 2 fights on one night two fights on another.
Have a 24/7 type show for each event or episode for each fighter brackets
MSG
Adamek vs Stiverne
Vs winner of
Jennings vs wilder
In the Uk
Tyson fury vs Arreola a lot of shit talking here
Vs
Perez vs Pulev only guy I threw in not ranked in the WBC
My prediction wilder vs Perez final
Wilder the king wins the belt brings it home

Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Why not have all the belts unified? I mean that's one (of the many  ) things posters always complain about. Put Wlad in the tournament or just have him fight the winner of the tournament.
Also for what it's worth I think the better style matchups would be
Stiverne vs Wilder
Adamek vs Jennings
Arreola vs Fury would be very good though

Two words. Jose Sulaiman. They guy has nightmares over an undisputed champion or even the unification of two with few exceptions. Its part of his admitted mandate not to share his champion with another tin pot. He will ensure this by excluding Wlad in any tourney for his belt.
There is a real chance at an undisputed champion at 175 also but I'd wager he sticks his paws into that also at some point.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Four man tournament would be the only way to legitamise having a WBC belt.
8 man would be to difficult to organise.
Stiverne will keep twiddling his thumbs until Vitali officially retires, which might not be until September, is there fan pressure to strip Vitali, so Stiverne can have a match vs Wilder to become Champion.
Not so much considering Wilder's lack of opposition.
Stiverne's rightful stubbornness to not fight until he gets his mandatory does not do him any favours.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
I think if Fury can get his head back and focus he could win and hold the belt, but I have a feeling the Haye fiasco may have messed with his head and he may have regressed backwards.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
I am thinking Arreola or Stiverne. Proven fighters.

I think a rematch between those two would be good.

How is Arreola a prove fighter? While guys like Ali, Fraizer and Foreman were bums?
Because they are modern heavyweights and have the size and weight and the latest technological advances.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Stiverne-Arreola II. Winner fights WladKlit. Wilder fight Jennings or Perez
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
The WBC has mandatory challengers.... they should give the 1 and 2 guys a chance to fight for it.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Seems dodgy VitaKlit has been given so long an extension :-\ what's the pay-off for the WBC? Whose wetting their sweaty little palms
If Stiverne's legal troubles keep him out then it should be Arreola-Wilder for the belt

Because he's fought REAL HW's and REAL live-body opponents. Frazier didn't. Foreman didn't. Ali did sure, but Ali never fought anybody as dangerous as Arreola, except Foreman himself which was not representative.
How do you think Frazier and Norton would do against Arreola? We are taking about first round knock outs here. You put 2 glass jawed punch weak guys, one of them lighter than anybody Arreola has ever KO'd before up against a skilled, aggressive, 6'4" 230-340lb power & combination puncher and expect them to prevail?
My advice is if you want to argue past warriors BS is do it on my thread! Those guys are nothing! I can't even watch their fights without falling asleep!

You said it! Christobal has power, chin, aggression and size like George, except Arreola also has speed and skills that Foreman didn't!
Norton was smaller than Chris, he had skills too but no punch and no chin.
Frazier was a midget compared to Chris and had no skills, no punch or no chin!
He just pulled a Foreman vs Frazier on Seth Mitchell, did you guys miss that?
I wonder is Joe Roman would challenge Arreola to the title shot today? LOL

Adamek outboxed a fat Arreleo so Ali should be able to, Vitali stopped him so Foreman would be able to which is not bad for a shoe shiner and limited brawler. :)

Seth Mitchell is a footballer with no chin and very limited boxing skills. I dont see the comparison to Foreman v Fraizer. Arreola isnt that fast or skilled, hence his beating by Stiverne. He is tough and strong thats all. And thats all you need nowadays to be a contender.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Yeah I agree Mitchell was a footballer and all that but he was more dangerous than Joe Fraizer. He had more than a 1 punch repertoire! Your comparison was as valid as mine ok fine..
The way I see it though is if Ali struggled to handle an opponent like Frazier or Spinks or Norton then he would go down in the 1st round against the rushing Arreola. Ali is a runner, he does not fight like Adamek. Running away from Arreola only gives him momentum. And he is a much more skilful boxer than George Foreman.
I could be wrong, your comparisons might be the right ones but I'd be sceptical here.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Ali is not a runner he would beat Arreleo just like Adamek did.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Then how come he could not handle Frazier then? A VERY poor mans Arreola!
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Ok so let's take a look at Joe Frazier's career at a glance..
Frazier was blind on left eye his entire professional career (after a training accident 1964) ("The pirate of the 4 corners of the world"). He would pass medical exams by covering his left eye and then switch his arm to cover his left eye AGAIN. Such a handicap as Frazier wouldn't be allowed to box nowadays.
Height: 5'11'.5" (BOTTOM-2 of Wladimir Klitschko's opponents)
Started as a cruiser 197 lbs. Median weight 204 lbs. Klitschko NOT ONCE fought anyone as light as that.
Median weight of Frazier's KO'victim: 197 lbs (cruiser)
Career record (all fights): 32-4 (not too impressive)
Career record real heavyweight fights 200×2 lbs: 13-4 (pathetic)
Career record real superheavyweight fights 215×2 lbs: 1-2 (non-existent)
That would be Frazier's real superheavyweight experience when facing Klitschko. Wladimir Klitschko faced 7 opponents that had so little 215+ experience (at the very beginning of his career) and he KO'ed them all within 4 rounds.
Frazier ducked/never fought some of the better+hard punching boxers of his time like Sonny Liston, Mac Foster, Earnie Shavers, Ken Norton, Cleveland Williams.
That's Frazier, the fighting machine! The one who dealt Ali his first and comprehensive career loss. And your telling me what would amount to a virtual tomato can today could do this to Ali but Chris Arreola, a menacing top contender today could not? 6 fight green and career bum cruiserweight Leon Spinks could, but Arreola could not? I'm not convinced at all!
I think, pretty reasonably with careful assessment, Arreola KO Ali. 60's version quick, 70's version a more slow painful death!
I like Arreola. Maybe Stiverne will get him the second time too but I hope Chris gets revenge. As for you bringing up the past warriors again, forget Klitschko, Chris would give them all they could handle.
Re: WBC tourney if vitali retires
Arreleo is fat, Ali is fit get your facts right.
