Mike Tyson banned from entering the UK..
Yep, scheduled promotional appearances this week for his autobiography in London are scrapped.
According to new UK immigration rule changes made in Dec 2012, anyone with a previous conviction resulting in a jail sentence of more than four years is barred from entering the country. Tyson did 3 years for the rape conviction, but his sentence was 6. He also has convictions for assault, cocaine possession, and driving under the influence. The organizers didn't know that the law had been changed. Tyson'll be in Paris instead. Tyson's 1-man Broadway show scheduled for next year in the UK will also be scrapped.

there was talk of him being refused into the UK when he came over to fight Julius Francis and Vitali klitschko was on standby to fight him in Germany if he didn't let him in the UK (unfortunately they did and I was gutted as the young klitschko didn't get the fight)
wonder if they would have stopped Nelson Mandela ?

I'm all for banning convicted rapists from doing pretty much anything myself, but given his profile and the fact he's been allowed there before it does seem a bit silly.

I know someone who just finished a 7 year sentence in Poland and arrived in the UK on Sunday and is already working here with absolutely no problems at all ;)

Instantly, the camera cut to Paul Dempsey, who quickly distanced Sky from Eubank's remarks, before cutting to an ad break.
When they came back to the studio after the ads, Eubank was nowhere to be seen, just an empty chair for the rest of the show ;D

Tyson banned he is a convicted rapist, remember Martin Murray can not fight in the USA for
being a bad lad, so now we don't let convicted criminals into this country.
People will be pissed off, but the States wont let criminals into there country, so now we don't
it is what it is, change in the law.

My point is , of course they let peasant criminals into the country , they are just trying to make a big thing about Tyson , don't let any criminals in that's fine. However they let shit loads of eastern block criminals in and do nothing.more bullshit from the government

That was hilarious/cringeworthy. Right at the start of the show. I'm pretty sure they did briefly speak to Eubank again but they had dumped him ringside.

Ridiculous. They do let convicted rapists into the country, under Human Rights legislation and then they give them houses and benefits. I'm angry about this because I was going to his show.
And I don't really give a flying fuck about Desiree Washington.
