1st of all let me say I am not a fan of broner as was delighted to wake up this morning to the news that he got his AB ass beat.
So decided to sit down and watch the fight, I ended up scoring the fight 115 to 112 for maidana I had rounds 3 and 4 a draw, how did use score it ?
I actually had the fight all even going into the 8th then maidana just seemed to get that 2nd wind. I was also surprised to see the score cards some were pretty wide and I was half expecting some dodgy score cards
Honestly when they announced UD, the thought of maidana getting the verdict didnt even cross my mind. I thought broner was getting a gift so I was pleasantly surprised ....
Sd or md should be the typical scenario but I really did not expect this..
Personally, I thought broner made some adjustments and took the mid rounds and after maidana got a point deduction, the fight was fairly close...
The scorcards were too wide imo... the judges were hating on him just like the majority of the fans and they werent going to do any favors for broner.
117-110. I didn't need to hate on him to see the more effective punching.
His punches were sloppy and alot of them weren't landing clean..Quote:

It was not a close fight. You had Broner getting mauled and attempting to steal rounds by working for 30 seconds or a minute.
No more than 3 rounds for Broner.
i had it 9-3 plus the KD. there was maybe one or two rounds that could have gone to broner that i didnt give him but maidana easily won.
He wobbled and dropped Broner with one of those unclean, sloppy rights. Effective punching.Quote:

I scored it 115-110 and I was surprised that Maidana didn't get robbed. I thought there is no way they can rob him so they might make it a draw. But justice was done for the first time in boxing.
That's exactly what I just scored it. I gave Broner rounds 3,5,6 and the 12th. 8-4 in rounds with 2 points taken from Broner for the KDs and the one deduction from Maidana. Mind you 3 was dead close and the headbutt was really nothing of substance so that's about as close as it could've been imo. Broner should have been warned a lot more for the forearms as well and if he had a point could've been taken on a bunch of instances.Quote:

I only gave Broner 3 rounds. When you sit there and let a guy tee off on you, and you aren't returning fire, you're losing the round.
Thats pretty much how I saw it. Maidana was dictating the real estate, moving him with shots in there and Broner didn't get any consistent combos with effect off. Not a close fight.Quote:

They're all over the place. It's weird that round 5 which was probably Broner's best round was scored the way it was, Christodoulu is obviously the most pro-house fighter and he doesn't even score it for Broner. And Martinez doesn't count the second KD and scores round eight ten nine. It's almost like these scores were redone in a panic when they realised they were looking at a riot if they gave it to Broner.
OK, watched the fight again and it was six or seven that was Broner's best round. Maidana won the fifth. The judges' scores are still all over the place though.
