Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running wlad
I have watched alot of Pulev lately he is a nightmare for wlad.
The guy will bring constant pressure that wlad hasn't felt in years.
Pulev has the size and power to stop the clinch and hopefully we get a ref tht doesn't let clinchko hold the whole fight.
Pulev will beat wlad sooner or later

no chance, klit will be allowed to clinch as much as he needs to to win
we saw in his last fight that the opponent was dangerous enough for him to be allowed to clinch to extreme levels
Pulev has no chance , even if he starts to get on top the powers will come up with something crazy to hand the advantage back to klit
if i was fighting a klit i would come up with some extreme hugging tactic myself, try and at least beat him at his own game, perhaps some crazy spinning him around tactic or something
-
Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
actually he always clinches to extreme levels, in his last fight he was allowed to clinch to hurrendously extreme levels
-
Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
:vd:
Running from Pulev? You mean the guy Joey Abell knocked down? Wlad hasn't scheduled his next fight yet also he might have to make a mandatory defense of one of the titles he has but I can tell you this much Pulev ain't a "nightmare" for Wlad. I don't know if Wlad will fight Alex Leapi but it shouldn't be an issue for him.
Allow me to break down Kubrat. He's 6'4/6'5 and was 253 & 3/4 in his last fight, he's an orthodox fighter, he has 10 KO's in 19 fights, he lacks big pop, he is a solid technical fighter, he doesn't have many tricks up his sleeve or a difficult style and he lacks the intangibles to beat Wlad. Kubrat's chin has yet to be tested although his balance isn't the greatest that's for certain. Pulev couldn't even KO Travis Walker....Adamek and Browne both stopped Walker.
I think Pulev has good footwork and decent hand speed but there's little to no pop in his punches, and his defense doesn't really stand out to me.
I think he's just another victim in waiting, he's done right in preparations for a fight vs Wlad: Dimitrenko, Ustinov, Walker...you see the size and power those guys provide (power only provided by Walker truly) and that's a great step towards being ready for what Wlad will throw at him, but I think Pulev will end up catching a beat down because Wlad's hands are faster, his defense is better, and he has the power to drop anyone with either hand.

We need a heavyweight Devon Alexander, is what you are saying? Lol

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
Pulev deserves his place as number one contender, but he'll be no problem for Wlad. Personally I think Fury was an idiot for not fighting him, theres a large chance he would of won and been mandatory for the titles in the process.
-
Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
If you're looking for styles that will hurt/worry Wlad then you've got 2 real options. You've got 1. the Brewster/Purrity take a complete ass whupping but keep plodding forward guys and 2. the huge power swinging for the fences Corrie Sanders type.
Pulev ain't either one of those. Deontay Wilder COULD be the Corrie Sanders type, but who knows. Cris Arreola might be the Brewster type but it's doubtful. Stiverne might could be either type, again doubtful.
Then you've got the long shots, the guys who MIGHT be able to outpoint Wlad in a decision (highly unlikely) Jennings, Pulev.
But hey you guys keep hoping

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
Lmmfao pure comedy.. why would wlad feel the need to run from pulev? Pulev is dime a dozen, guy is slightly above ordinary and ive seen many HWs like him come and go in the past 10 years..
Tryin to make him out to be some dangerous fighter lol.. pulev is not elite

Oh swell, another idiot, maybe kingedwards and max powers are the same troll....

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
I'm no Wlad fan but he aint ducking Pulev. Wlad has 3 mandatories and values his belts. As he's WBA Super Champion he has longer for mandatories but beating Povetkin just took care of the WBA. There is no purse bid for the IBF yet but there is for the WBO so if he wants to keep his title he has to fight Leapai next. It isn't a duck, he'll probably fight Pulev after that. I'm sure Pulev has to fight an elimanator first.
-
Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
Good side for Pulev- he has GREAT movement and won't be clenched as much as Wlad's other opponents. The man really is a Cobra- he moves with the grace and skill of a Welter.
Bad side for Pulev- he doesn't have much pop. Wlad won't let you get off more than a two shot combo on him because he clenches and hugs like a sock-puppet.
Pulev's only way to win is to win on points... move in and out and box... don't get on the ropes, stay in the middle of the ring and move around the ring and pop in and out with one's and two's. And, if you have a chance throw more than two shots- which I doubt, because I don't think Wlad will allow him to throw in addition to the lack of power Pulev has- then go for it and move away quickly.

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
Really? Wlad is running from Pulev? What difference does it make whether he fights Pulev or Leapei? Both are massive underdogs.
The only boxer quacking his way around atm is Floyd Mayweather... Big time!

nothing, he fights pulev hell cuddle him for 12 rounds if he fights Leapei he'll cuddle him for 12 rounds
in fact if he fought my gran he would cuddle her for 12 rounds

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
Not arguing that. You'd be dead right there. I've just been discussing Wlad's holding. All the shorter guys that try to bull their way inside are cuddled. Wlad is better to watch against taller guys that give him a standup fight. Leapai and Pulev are both short, he will hug the shit out of them.
I would like to see Wladimir fight Chris Arreola, Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder someone that will give him a proper punch up even if he does outclass them.

wlad would cuddle arreola
as the cuddle doesnt seem to work as well on the taller fighters it would be interesting to see what would happen if he came up against a decent tall fighter, i dont think he has yet
i dont think fury is good enough, he'd have a chance if he put it on him for the first couple of rounds, i think wlad would land too easy on him tho
i really dont know how good or bad wilder is its very hard to say, he would certainly have a punchers chance, again tho i believe he would need to start very fast and try and close it early

McCline 6'6 (KO), Pianetta 6'5 (TKO), Wach 6'7(UD and Wach was on roids), Thompson X2 6'6 (KO, KO), Austin 6'6 (KO), Jefferson 6'6 (KO)...he has an easier time with taller fighters if anything

he deals with them easier because they arent as good
the best out of that bunch is thompson and the fights i have seen him in that werent david price he hasnt been great, pulev dealt with him very easily
wlad hasnt yet fought a really dangerous tall world class fighter in his current reign
-
1 max power Pulev is 6'4 that's not short
2 I posted this just too spark life in this forum and damn we see who the clinchko brother nut huggers r.
3. I have read wlad had a choice between Alex and Pulev he chose Alex bottom line he took the easier fight.
4. Don't down play what Pulev has done the guy had a great ammy career. Then recently he dominated Thompson, he Koed Ustinov showing he can deal with height, he beat walker who is from my neck of the woods and is tough as nails, he took out abell in the 5th, he beat solis in the amateur when nobody was,he beat Glasgov in the amateur, beat abdusalamov
He won gold in the European championship and world championships.
The guy has only 19 fights and look at the guys he fights.
He would beat the snot out of fury for whoever said that.
Wlad might hug his way too victory but have the fight outside of Germany where vitali can't shoot roids into wlads butt and he can't dry hump his opponent the whole fight. The amount right hands pov landed were too easy if he would of threw combos he would of landed alot more. Pulev will throw combos and if the ref doesn't let wlad hug his way too victory Pulev will give him problems.

Kubrat has been a mandatory for over a damn year.

And for the idiot that said he has no opponent he is set to face Alex in march Idiot. Get wlads nuts out of your mouth long enough too read a headline.

He had a choice to fight Alex or Pulev next now I think wlad would probably hug his way too victory vs either but by definition he avoided Pulev.

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
They could fight on the Moon and it wouldn't change the outcome. Wlad will beat Pulev, FACT. Povetkin landed 35/172 of power punches....that's 20%.....yes, "easy" . It doesn't matter if he fights Leapai first or Pulev first neither guy will cause Wlad much trouble.
I've seen Wlad's set for a fight in March but they haven't settled on who he's fighting yet, you say Leapai fine whatever it doesn't make a difference. If the WBO mandates that he has to defend that title first then he'll do it to keep his title, not out of personal preference you dope.
"By definition he avoided" blah blah blah....Pulev is nothing special. Wins in the amateurs, big fucking deal. Povetkin had a gold medal, shit Audley Harrison had a gold medal so it doesn't mean he's going to be a phenomenal fighter.

its not a fact its an opinion
it is my opinion that under the rules and conditions wlads fights normally occur under i would agree with you
under the rules a boxing fight would normally happen under i think it could be a close fight

Trust me, it's a fact. Also, it's only a foul when the ref calls it...what about that escapes your tiny ginger brain? When the ref says "stop that" and takes away a point it has yet to affect Wlad's performances. All he does is win and whether he's being cagey and bending the rules or fighting 100% within the rules he's winning.
But you keep complaining about it, it's enjoyable to see that it upsets you so much

we are all going to die, that is a fact
i currently have a cup of tea on my desk, thats a fact
the majority colour on my car is silver, thats a fact
klitchko will beat pulev isnt a fact
Sven Ottke was given gift after gift in his fights, he also generated a lot of money for a lot of people, these two things being linked could well be fact but for most it is just opinion
Wlad Klitchko continually being allowed to foul in his fights, he also generates massive amounts of money, these two things being linked could well be fact but for most it is just opinion

So you're saying just because Wlad packs the house he's allowed to foul and allowed to win only because he makes money? The comparison to Svenn Ottke is ridiculous for various reasons mainly because Wlad hasn't been coddled by any sanctioning body, he fights the best fighters that are out there while Ottke did not. Wlad is also willing to travel for the right price, he was going to fight Haye in Stamford Bridge but HAYE couldn't land the Bridge to make it happen.
But the crux of your argument is that Wlad is allowed (by mysterious powerful people who control the sport) to win because of the money he generates....do you not think an American heavyweight like Deontay Wilder could make that kind of money if you just put a belt on him? Or wouldn't David Haye and his massive amounts of fans  make more money?
Keep hating eric

Right I'm no Wlad nuthugger, I can't stand him, I hate watching him fight and I can't wait for him to lose but to accuse him of ducking is utter bullshit. Wlad has 3 titles, so thus he has 3 mandatories. The WBO have called purse bids for the Leapai fight, the IBF have not called it yet. So if he wants to unify the division and keep his belts, he fights the mandatory that has been called first. I am near certain that if the IBF call for negotiations for the Pulev fight then Wlad will fight him rather than vacate since he has met every mandatory requirement thus far. In fact, I bet he fights Pulev after he fights Leapai. It isn't a choice, it is a forced mandatory. If he had both mandatories at the same time and he picked Leapai, the IBF would strip him. The FACT they haven't called for the purse bid should have you blaming the IBF, not Wlad. Wlad will fight whichever mandatory he has to. How is that difficult to understand?

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
Sorry I did not realise Pulev was so tall.
The taller guys Wlad has fought have not been bums whoever said that.
He simply has better "boxing" matches with them.
Thompson was a great fighter. In fact although Wlad won clearly round wise, Punch stats reveal Thompson actually outlanded Wlad. Punch speed and punch power won him the fight!
McCline was beaten not long after he wiped out Michael Grant only months after he was beaten by Lewis (=prime Grant).

yup thats the crux of my argument
appart from the fact that its absolutely clear as day that this is happening your last paragraph only compounds my argument
no wilder wouldnt make that sort of money, not without being champ for a while, and there isnt the potential for longerity with haye or wilder that there is with wlad
wlad is the perfect cash cow and if he lost a lot of people would be out of pocket and as a result they wont let him lose
i long for the day that he is caught in a fight and/or under a bit of pressure and not because i think he will lose but because i think we will see the lengths that the ref/judges/ringside officials go to to ensure he gets through the fight with a victory

ok saying they are not world class is harsh, but looking at the list you wouldnt say any of them wouild be a good world champion, they are the type of fighters that might get lucky with a fight and nick a belt
they are good contenders

The problem is there aren't really any dangerous world class fighters out there right now. Wlad is beating what is in front of him. I don't like it, I just accept it for what it is.

yep, the real contenders are scarce
That coupled with the dull way that the champion fights and him being allowed to excessively foul like he does makes for a very bleak, unexciting and predictable situation in the HW division at the minute

Wlad has been champ now for ages, he's fought anyone and everyone and I'm sorry I don't buy into the hype that Leapai or Pulev are going to be the end of him. Leapai is a nobody. Pulev is much better, but you've yet to explain HOW he beats Wlad. He won't outbox Wlad and judging from his record he won't KO Wlad so what are we thinking he wins by DQ or something?
If you want to call people gay and type like a teenage girl that's fine, but stick around to talk more shit once the Wlad-Pulev fight happens. We'll see who is being a "crazed fan" then.

Re: Wlad is running from Pulev he picked the Aussie for his next fight stop running w
I think the most impressive thing about Wlad is that he's beat a ton of world class guys of all body types and styles.
You really can't say "Wlad never fought a (insert type here)". Huge bombers, southpaw slicksters, boxer-punchers, pressure fighters, tall guys, short guys, ect.
