Cracking fight to start the season with Argenis Mendez defending his IBF title against unbeaten Cuban defect Rances Barthélemy. Very close fight. I give the edge to Mendez as he is the slicker fighter. Both fighters were very lucky not to lose to Usmanee so the winner should give him a rematch.
Caleb Truax on the televised undercard against veteran Ossie Duran in a 10 round middleweight bout. I presume Truax will be too strong for Duran.
Usmanee got the tough break in both yeh. Well Barthelemy was a straight robbery. This one should very solid. If it wasn't for Duran looking a thousand and being blasted last out I'd say he beats Truax but Traux is a seriously tough SOB. Great to have the series back so early!!
Great to see FNF back. I like Atlas and many times they have very good fights.
Loving this fight. Mendez is in a very dangeorus fight and i wouldnt be surprised if he loses..

Not a bad start, both have some things working. Traux is going to have to sit down and kill that pressure. Hes being cut off and touched alot in the 3rd here

I can’t score it because I miss the first three rounds but from what I saw it was a pretty even fight.

Yea they are making way to big a deal out of this, it was a legit KO. Barthelemy was already putting that all together, bell was slow and the ref wasn't in there. It's cringe worthy to have Mike Tyson calling him out on it really. Mendez was on queer street every time he got touched, hope there's no rematch.
Pretty sure the KO will stand plus we should see a rematch ASAP. Barthelemy vs Mendez II will end the same way, imo.

I had this gut feeling that mendez would get knocked out but this is bullshit... its not right to wave off the fight like that in a championship bout... the champ deserves the benefit of a doubt...
He was knocked out? It was a 10 count, he had been dropped hard seconds before the end came at the bell, and it looked like his legs went every time he had been touched anyways. Barthelemy vs Burgos would be a good fight, but Mikey Garcia beats everyone at 130 imo.
