Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
It's been said that the two really do not like each other.. Anybody know how this beef for started?
And here are the matchups so far.. undercards are not official yet
Canelo-Angulo
Figueroa-Alvarez
Santa Cruz-Mijarez
Arce-Arakawa
Arce - Arakawa is going to be another blood bath i guess. Thoughts on the card?

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Cazares vs. Gutierrez is apparently also possible for this card. Not looking PPV worthy thus far.

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Good comeback fight for him. Should be an entertaining war and a fight where he can look good in winning.
-
Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
solid non PPV showtime card.
-
Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Looks like a decent card, with all 4 fights ending in ko's most likely . Should be good.
-
The Mares fight needs to be added to the card and then it will do well
-
Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Is the (Vargas) hate real or is it just (Guerrero v Floyd) hype.
-
Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
I'm hoping Angulo pulls it off... he is such a good talent. Needs to rematch Lara later on the line too.
-
I expect it to sell shitty both at the gate and ppv. I am surprised they are doing it in Vegas rather than TX or southern CA. The fight is more suitable for a large venue with $50 balcony seats. I don't see people banging out the MGM in lousy seats for $500-600 each

I am surprised it is PPV. What is all that about? Does Canelo only do PPV now?
-
Fucking bullshit this is PPV.
Canelo LOST to Floyd. Don't mean he's ppv now. Had he won then sure.
-
Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Schafer said Canelo is going to fight 3x this year and all of them will be PPV..

That'll change fast once the first one sells like shit.
If he fought GGG that would be PPV worthy.

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
When Canelo first started popping up on Showtime, Showtime stated they would be keeping Canelo on their regular pay channel for the monthly subscribers. Of course any Floyd fight is ppv but now they should live up to what they said. I'm sure they have plans get Danny Garcia to ppv in the near future. Showtime needs to be cautious. They need to make sure a monthly subscription is of value or will the main draw be the ability to watch a replay of a ppv fight the next week.

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
this is more Angulo's type as opposed to Lara, not saying he's gonna beat Alvarez but neither guy is gonna be out of their comfort zone here, Canelo is the better boxer of the two and Angulo has no speed so Alvarez will be the quicker of the two, Angulo obviously has the power advantage but he usually throws one at a time and well we need to see how his eye healed up, will it be a factor, interesting fight but IMO not PPV worthy
-
Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Canelo will make this painful for Angulo

JMM lost to Floyd qnd is still PPV. Ricky the Jokeman lost to Floyd and was PPV vs . Pac. There are other losers to Floyd who went on to be PPV meals for Manny the Floyd Left-over man. Coming to a theatre near you Pac vs Guererro and Ortiz. Shit Pac would be fighting Gatti if Roach & Arum could reincarnate his old used up ass.

Who said anything about Pacquaio? He's fighting Angulo you weirdo.

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Two guys who lost their last fights headlining a PPV. Not sure this sells well. Is Canelo really a big draw by himself?
Linares versus Arakawa on the undercard looks a cracker.

The emphasis is that a loss to Floyd does not mean a fighter is no longer PPV material. The list I provided is proof that a loss to Floyd can still earn you a PPV stage vs Pac as history has shown. This just proves you are another Pactard wierdo. So tell me how Pac was PPV then based on this theory after getting knocked out brutally by JMM and even pushes the envelope by fighting an average slow, light hitting Rios coming off a loss as well.

Pac is PPV because he can sell them, and you're the only one who brought him into this thread, as you do every one. Tell me how many times you were dropped by your Filipino step father, you hopeless cretin.

So you believe this PPV will outsell Pacquaio vs. Rios?
I like Pacquaio, but I am not a pactard as you say. I think you are a kid or a forum troll or both though.
Fuck off please.

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
I'm a big fan of Angulo's truck forward pressure style of fighting, I'll be rooting for him.
Looking forward to this one

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
Canelo has a huge mexican fan base so his ppv events will do just fine..
Once you are at canelo's level as far as star power is concerened, his fights arent gonna be downgraded to non-ppv just because of one loss...
-

Stacking the cards also helps ;)

you are right, his fights should be downgraded because he isnt a good enough fighter to pay $50 to watch fight.

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
I was the dumdass who payed $65 to see Canelos last fight. That was a day old terd, lets be straight. Angulo is patchwork now and on multiple comeback trails here. I have a feeling this will be a one sided blow out within 6 with a now company man understanding his role and one where Alvarez can finally play the patient bulky-boxer and effect his opponent to an end, not Trout and not Mayweather. Undercards will steal the show with Molina v Charlo and Santa Cruz v Mijares hopefully.

Re: Canelo-Angulo finalized.. two can't stand each other.. PPV lineup
would anybody even put canelo in the top 10 p4p? i dont think that ive ever seen him on a list. that should tell you something about the ridiculousness of headlining him on a PPV.
