Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
This kid Mo Hooker has an old school-ish look and feel to him. As well as arms like a praying mantis
-
Hooker is winning the fight with the jab.
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Hookers has stiff height in 3rd. Needs to remember he has knees ffs. Good hands...iffy legs
-
Excellent and close third round. Who won it?

Ramos def closed ranks on him and got some work done, lean to him in 3rd but Hooker back on track in 4th.
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Great round by Hooker there, but his punches are getting a little choppy. Awkward delivery
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Yet another weak bell and clueless ref there for a sec
Hooker is a guy who needs to decide what he wants to be..kid is gifted with awesome range and height but looks like a guy who can get sparked flat cold at any point once in a while...
-
Hooker 4-1 after 5 and he's winning the 6th.
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Clear Ramos round the 7th. Hooker has cement in his shoes walking back to corner...Ramos needs a ko
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Man, Tough scrappy give and take final round! Props to both...77-75 Hooker here.
-
Great fight that Hooker won in my opinion, but we get a majority draw..
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Antoine Douglas 11-0 (7) vs Marquis Davis 8-0-2 (5) middleweights up...Douglas looks like a guy being fast tracked to much bigger things. Davis is built like an Abrams tank

Totally. Only saw two clean clear rounds for Ramos but think Hookers body language may have cost him in eyes of judges.
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Douglas shutting a thick chinned Davis out, but he really needs to relax. Hes trying to do a million things all at once
-
Douglas is winning every round and Davis is being totally outworked.
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
;D Dont see that often...Davis gets a tooth knocked out and kicks it out of ring
"Y'all need to find my tooth" :lolhaha: Nasty!
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
"Yo, you got that tooth". That was a complete root canal ffs. Point to Davis...dude has a set of grapefruits!
-
Davis just had a tooth knocked out. Don't remember seeing that before.
Don't know if we should start calling Douglas "The Dentist" or "The Tooth Fairy". Lol
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Douglas takes it via shut out save for 1 round on a card. I hope Davis got his tooth back. I've never seen a close up of a complete bloody tooth ringside
Holyshit....John Thompson 14-0 (5) walks to the ring with his own artwork in tow and crooked mohawk :-X ....fighting a Frank Galarza 11-0-2 (7)
Why do they insist on attaching crap WBC trinkets to 6,8 round fights ??? Kinda says it all eh
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
We've just seen one of the shocking ko's of the new year :o Favorite Thompson just got CRUSHED!! Wow
Galarza rushes him start of 2nd, brutal KO. Thompson left in a literal heap and lucky he didn't injure his neck how he fell
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Ivan Redkach vs Tony Luis now.
-
John Thompson was just crushed in the second round by Frank Galarza.
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Luis is doing alot of good work over 3, landing on Redkach and robbed of a knockdown in the 1st round. Have Luis up 2-1. The ref is riding his ass though
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Redkach looks tired early in 5th. Holding, complaining to ref. Very very physical scrap...ref warns Luis yet again for somthing they are both doing. He will buy deduct Redkach a insurance point from Luis before this is over...3-2 Luis
Redkach power found Luis early 6th, had him wobbled bad. Both now cut ugly!!
-
Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Hairline gash on Luis in corner..real ugly. 3-3 even up. These guys are slamming heads together
-
Real close fight between Luis and Redkach. Have been enjoying this one, very close, very tough physical fight. Who do you have winning?

A very good fight, I was enjoying this one instead of scoring. I was thinking it was closer than the judges had it.
Good nite of boxing!

That was brutal :o
Will be watching Redkach to see how he progresses ;)

Re: Showbox Tonight: Redkach vs Luis
Thought Luis smothered the power of Redkach and won the fight. It was close, but aside from when Redkach was hurting Luis, he was losing rounds in my opinion due to being bullied and outworked.

I agree, I was not scoring this one but my feeling was that it was a close fight.
Judge's score cards are a mystery to me once in a while, but this time they all agreed that I don't understand what I'm seeing. LOL.

One of the Shoebox crew said that Thompson was ambushed and I find my self agreeing. A surprising thing to say about a boxing match.
The first round was close, but it appeared that Galarza had some exploitable holes in his game. He was slower, came straight in without much head movement and was missing some.
Galarza rushed out in the second, threw one right hand that had Thompson wondering what his feet were doing, pursued Thompson back against the ropes and landed a left hand that crushed Thompson.
When Galarza's left landed Thompson slumped to his knees, bent at the waist and fell straight down on his forehead.
It was the most unexpected KO I've seen since Marquez vs Pacquiao.
The best way to describe it is to say Thompson was crushed from ambush.
Watch it when you get a chance, you'll get that ambushed feeling too.

Yeh I agree. It was as sudden and swift a ko I've seen in a long while. It wasn't nearly a Lloyd Honeyghan ko Bumpus basically on his stool 'ambush' ;D but ambush was a great description...brick out of a dark alley. Actually felt bad for Thompson. He was literally left in a folded up heap, just brutal.
