Great strategy from Harding!!

Re: Post a few wars you dont think everyone has seen.
Sorry no footage but imagine that soggy day in April, Paris France 1909 when Joe Jeanette met Sam Mcvey. Joe was knocked down about 27 times and Sammy about 15. By all accounts Sam was winning the fight but was unable to answer the bell for the 49th round.

Re: Post a few wars you dont think everyone has seen.
The most brutal war ever and im not sure if this has happened before or since , were the fight was stopped to save both boxers from further punishment.
Prince Charles Williams v Merqui Sosa.
TD 7 .

Re: Post a few wars you dont think everyone has seen.
Luis Collazo vs Andre Berto
Everyone may have seen this because its kinda recent but Collazo really impresses me and I think he is under rated. He has fought some big names and he has some serious boxing skills.

Re: Post a few wars you dont think everyone has seen.
Matthew Saad Muhammad(formerly Matthew Franklin) vs Marvin Johnson
1979 Rematch.
World Light-Heavyweight Championship.
Intros and build-up, match begins about 15 min in.
Well worth a watch, fellas.

Re: Post a few wars you dont think everyone has seen.
Cheers fellas,I'll be trying to watch these on rainy days and send em all off to my parents who love watching a good fight.
I went with my dad to this one, probably the best war Ive sat ringside at.
A young Lester Ellis after 16 odd fights had a title, only an Ibf jnr light, but in these days it meant a fair bit to Australian boxing.
BArry Michaels was an old fighter at 30, hard hitting pro, brawling in tight type of club fighter with a head like a brick who also stood over people at times out in the streets for others.
He never had a shot at any title after some 45 fights and he was screaming blue murder about it. Lester gave him this shot after many months of being taunted by Michaels.
The fight says it all.
Action starts at around 19 minutes in but I couldnt help reliving the build up.

Re: Post a few wars you dont think everyone has seen.
If you aint British you may not have seen Jamie Moore fight Ryan Rhodes. Absolutely awesome fight and better than Moore's war with Macklin.
Cello Renda vs. Paul Samuels was crazy. Double knockdown off simultaneous punches.
If you haven't seen it watch Jorge Arce fight Hussein Hussein the first time, I thought that was a cracking fight and probably the first time I really began to pay attention to the lower weightclasses. It was difficult before as not many televised.

I watched that one a couple years back out of curiosity and it really wasn't THAT bad. The ref just made a very unusual call to stop the fight for both men and this it lives on in infamy.
Charles Brewer vs. Antwun Echols is one of my all time favorite fights. Just watched it again a few days ago.

Matthew Macklin v Jamie Moore
Another cracking domestic UK war

Re: Post a few wars you dont think everyone has seen.
