Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
If both Chisora and Fury win their fights on Frank Warren's Feb 15th card in London, then it's a done deal for June.
Who will win the rematch?

I think Fury wins a decision or by late stoppage. If Chisora comes in fit it could be close thought as he certainly has enough power to hurt Chisora.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Fury easily. Chisora is an average domestic level fighter. He aint shit on the world stage.

Actually, you are right... besides wlad, everybody is pretty much neck n neck. Not one guy is head and shoulders above another...

Yup, I dont think Chisora is a top 10 heavyweight, but on his day (and on an opponents off day) could he not beat anyone in this division? (bar Wlad)

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
There should also be an option on whether the fight will even happen.
Both have 2 fights set before they are scheduled to face each other again. Chisora might lose his next fight. Fury has to find an opponent for the next date that is acceptable. There aren't many out there that would fight him, on that date, that would be an acceptable name.
For all those that wanted fury to face a puncher, well he is and apparently as soon as he faces a puncher he's done for.;)

Same could be said for Fury. He could lose to Abell if Abell catches him. There are loads of acceptable fighters for Fury to fight. Wilder, Thompson, Povetkin, Mike Perez, the winner of Glazkov/Adamek, Christian Hammer, Manual Charr, Odlanier Solis, Bryant Jennings, Ruiz Jr. If the money is right any of them would fight him

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
I'm thinking "evenly matched, difficult to predict"...
But my gut feeling is that Chisora will win by stoppage, perhaps a quick and controversial referee stoppage.
-
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
i think it will be close, points either way
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Fury wins points he is a class above Chisora.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
I say Fury beats him again on points, but Chisora will win rounds this time to make it closer than the first fight.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Chisora doesnt look as robust as he was. Losing that weight has affected him.
Would the Chisora that took punches for 12 rounds off Fury, Helenius and Vitali, even Haye up to a point (it wasnt just one shot) gotten hurt by the last two journeymen he fought?
His weight loss should give him better movement and not getting caught but it hasnt and hes not taking them well when he is caught.
There is a recent interview with Don Charles on youtube and he even addresses the same thing. Him and Dereck have spoken together to question why hes getting caught and hurt. His answer was that fighters now know what Dereck does and when he rolls they know where to place the punches. The nterviewer then says that james Ali Bashir has said unless Dereck adapts hes not going to beat any top fighters which nasically confirms what Charles himself said, that Dereck has become predicatble. Hes been around a few years now doing the exact same thing in every round he fights. So much so that even basic journeymen are catching and hurting him.
He will be lucky to get past Johnson.
Dont get me wrong. I like Dereck Chisora, hes fun to watch and has a good attitude to fighting but lets be honest. He isnt getting better. In fact the only fighter I could see him beating fairly comfortably is Stiverene. He could outwork him.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
The fitter more active Chisora looks much better to me. I backed Fury first time around but think Chisora could definitely win a rematch.
Last time he had Fury rocking and rolling all over the place in the 2nd round so there's definitely a possibility he can KO him. He also has the experience of fighting genuine world-class guys like Vitali and Haye in front of huge crowds. Fury has yet to taste anything like that and he's nuts. Even his trainer has criticised him for blowing the gameplan once he gets in the ring.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
First off, I don't think Chisora will get by Johnson unless he gets a dodgy decision (which is totally likely).
But if they fight I have Fury by late stoppage for a few reasons.
1. Chisora is an aging pressure fighter with little to no power
2. Fury will be confident from his previous win over Chisora and will probably look to build upon the previous win over him.
3. Fury may be dumb, but Chisora is mentally unstable to the point it will cost him in big fights.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Fury hasnt got a great chin I dont think there's any denying that but he tends to recover OK, average hitters might get him in a bit of bother, even floor him but he tends to get up or work through it alright. Chisora isnt going to hit him with blinding speed or power like a David Haye would/could have so I dont see him sparking Fury out. He'll get a few clumps in and maybe shake Fury up and have him stumbling about and grabbing on a bit. Ultimately though I think its a repeat of fight one.

im surprised at the lack of people going for chiz on points

Really? His best showing was against Helenius and that was going on 2-3 years ago. His biggest win since then was a stoppage of Malik "I just recently started fighting decent opponents" Scott, and again pressure fighters don't improve with age.

its just the way i see it, i think they are both on a similar level as fighters, i think chiz has a better boxing style that could work against the better fighters around but his lack of power lefts him down
i think fury is big and probably hits a big harder, or at least with his size and weight can be more dangerous but not quite as skilled
i really dont think fury has fought anyone as good as chiz in the pros (sounds strange as they have fought each other)
id be suprised if the bookies have fury as fav, are there odds out yet?

You wait and watch Chisoras next fight... ;)

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
I voted even.
Hard to guess when Chisora is essentially a completely different fighter now.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Chisora lost the first fight and I don't see any progression from him to suggest he'll win again, the only people he's beaten are European journeyman and he hasn't looked amazing doing that.

Exactly!
-
Fury has hardly progressed. If not punching yourself in the face is progression then he is a jammy bastard to be toasted for it. Chisora on points is entirely reasonable.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Just to be controversial, this is a bit like the Italian SAS - who cares who wins?
They are both bloody useless and we are being bamboozled by fat Mick and Terry Marsh's target practice Warren's hype.
Equality for england! Our heavyweights are just as bad as everybody elses!
I wish I could get older quicker and move on to a more useful batch of heavyweights, ask your mates in the pub, they've never even heard of Tyson bloody Fury or Derek Chisora, even though to his credit Chis fought a Klit for a real world title.
Doomed, we're all doomed! British heavyweights are fucked, for the moment........

I really think you are totally wrong about chisora v johnson... when johnson fought vitali he barley punched or did anything and he's just got older since then. He looked worse v tyson fury too.. I can't see anyway johnson beats chisora unless he becomes a totally different boxer :S
as for fury v chisora I think fury is a bit of a donkey but he is not without upside and I think his alright ability and large size will overcome chisora again for a points win. I hope this fight happens soon, I think it will make for an entertaining contest and then the winner can go onto bigger and better things afterwards

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Its funny!
I can see people sticking to their guns purely because they cant stand Fury;D
Chisora was beaten by Fury when he had ambition and was undefeated. He had 3 or 4 months to get ready for that fight and was in 2 training camps to face Wladimir before that!
Chisora gets praise just for facing a Klitschko? Wlad promised the winner of Chisora Fury a title shot. After the fight, he baulks and then Vitali faces Chisora after he loses again! Makes sense doesnt it;)
As for Johnson not doing much V Fury and Klitschko. They are giants! Both can fight at a distance. Johnson is a clever, defensive, counter puncher and Chisora is a swarming brawler who has been getting tagged and hurt by much lesser fighters recently. Johnson is rubbing his hands together because his style is murder for Chisoras career!

His poor conditioning showed his lack of ambition. This was always his problem. You are making out Furys win over Chisora as something special but there is probably about 50 heavyweights who would have beat that version of Chisora. It means nothing.
I agree with you about people picking Chisora cz of their hate for Fury, which is a bit silly given Fury is also in much better shape then he was a few years ago. It should be a closer fight this time but Fury should be winning
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Watching video of Tyson Fury. He's just waiting to get hit. If Chisora heart is into the fight he should win. Offen times Chisora is just plan lazy. The best he ever look was his loss to Haye. At least he came to fight. Haye just had way too much talent for him. Fury is not nearly as good as Haye. I see Fury kissing the canvas at least 3 times in this fight.

I cant get past seeing Chisora having to back peddle against his last two opponents. They were shit!
Ok Tyson got hurt in his last fight but regardless what anyone says, he was in with a world class fighter who was in very good shape at 210lb. Someone said he was cutting water to get to cruiser, if thats the case hes obviously a much stronger fighter at his natural weight now. Fury has shown he can be hurt before hand whereas Chisora was always sturdy. Maybe that shot he took off Haye it the Vitali press conference has affected his resiliance. It certainly wouldnt have helped it.
He just seems a more vulnerable fighter now. Maybe its the weght loss? He doesnt look any more cut or defined at the lower weight so he must have dropped as much muscle as fat. Whatever, hes not as strong as he was.
He will not be as effective against Fury as he was last time.
Johnson is much better than hes being given credit for and Chisora will be in his face all night which is what Johnson will want. If Chisora can be caught so easily by his last two opponents im sure Johnson will also catch him. The difference being Johnson has a touch of class and will be ale to keep Chisora hurt.

I dont think Cunningham lost much water to make Cruiser, he could just eat what he wanted in preparation for heavyweight. Yes he would be sttronger at heavyweight but he still isnt strong.
Chisora might be more vulnerable, he might be a bit shot worn but it doesnt make a difference he is still going to have a better chance of beating Fury now because he will be able to let his hands go. Chisora was winning the fight against Fury in the 1st two round. Then he gassed and barely through a punch and just lay on the ropes and let Fury hit him. Now he will know he can go the distance and will be able to keep the pressure on Fury.
Will Furys power earn Chisoras respect? Its hard to know. Hes in a lot better shape now so should be stronger this time. He also looks like he knows how to use his size a bit better so will be able to drain Chisora by leaning on him. But this is all speculation as he hasnt shown much power before. Even Chisora being hurt by "2 european journeymen" doesnt mean Fury can hurt him as there is not much to suggest Fury has any more one punch power then these guys. Who has Fury one punched KOd? His power comes from accumulation but I have a feeling he wont let his hands go early on against Chisora because of his suspect chin.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Fury to spoil his way to an ugly UD.
-
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Same result. They've both improved since the first fight. They've gained experience and fitness so it should be a better fight.
Now fury knows how to utilise his height and reach effectively he could make it easier on himself. He use to just get by on heart and never took advantage of the fact that the other guy would struggle yo land if he kept it long.
Chisora will come your ward like Frazier without the punch but get picked off

Cunningham isnt strong? He dealt with the heavyweight version of Adamek tons better than Arreola could! Cunningham was robbed, Arreola lost clear and got battered!
Chisora did not win the first two rounds! You have to be blind, joking or very biased to give the first round to Chisora! Fury did all the work and made Chisora hold a few times from some nice left hooks! Watch it again...

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Dereck Chisora II: who wins?
Last I checked Arreola was fat, not strong.
