Well actually they are more respectable in that they are and have always been heavyweights. Some are actually highly regarded (although not in America as is the case with Browne). The key is for Mansour to fight someone dangerous, beat them, and in doing so move up the ladder faster.Quote:

Cunningham might be better than Glazkov, but Glazkov is undefeated/never been KO'd. Chagaev has only been stopped by Wladimir. Pianeta only stopped by Wladimir. Takam is a workhorse and it would be a fun pressure vs pressure fight.
But hey if you want your favorite heavyweight to NEVER get a title shot then be happy
This is exactly the fight that Mansour needed now. If he beats Cunningham, he should move up in rank and go after another top guy, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

From what iv seen of Mansour I think Cunningham has enough to make him look silly. Mansour is strong but doesnt have enough skill or expereince to pace himself and not load up and knacker himself out early.

Actually. I dont think Mansour and Cunningham are on the same level. Cunningham has a million times more experience fighting world class fighters. Fuck that it was at cruiser weight. Mansour will struggle and fail against Cunningham who is fit, never out the gym, tough and tougher since he moved to heavy.
Its too late for Mansour. Hes not going to change or improve now.

Cunningham has fought world class. It doesnt matter they were at cruiser as those cruisers he was knocking out were fighting Wlads opponents and hurting them.
Mansour has gone as far as hes going. Hes strong but not fit enough for Cunningham and not much skill.

Yes.....yes it does matter. "world class" at cruiserweight, doesn't automatically mean world class at heavyweight. Ah yes it all comes back to Mormeck and Huck again...Wlad beat Mormeck in an uneventful and really unnecessary fight and Huck lost to Povetkin whom Wlad beat easily.
Cunningham is Mansour's most live opponent to date :-\ it's a step up against a guy with name value and huge experience. A win for either guy puts them in the mix with the likes of fighters El Kab mentioned :D

I never followed Mansour and to be honest I wasn't sure if people on here were REALLY hyped about him or just hyping him jokingly/ironically like they did to Lolenga Mock.
But if people were really hyped about a 40+, short (by HW standards) ex-con I don't know what to say.

Fury lost a couple of rounds he certainly didnt lose the first.
That Stevens fights was toe on toe from the off. Defo one my favourite fights in 2014
Cunningham is a good cruiser weight fighter , lose 6 pounds and he could give it a go at CW.
