I can't believe this guy. Calling out Calzaghe. He retired when he was in his prime so he didn't have to face him. And as for "it's the fight people want to see" really????

Steve Who?
is boxing about promoting your fighter? getting a name for yourself? earning as much money as you can in the few fights you have?
whos sons career is just at a vital time and needs all the exposure it can get?
Nah! I'm not having that. He was talking about fighting Roy Jones over a year ago, before his Son had had any fights. This is a man who can't let go and if the truth be known, is a tad jealous/envious of his son getting a buzz and a bit of limelight and he still wants some. Steve Collins is probably still a hard man, but there's a difference between that and going back into a boxing ring.
Also, he originally was talking about Dubai and people want to put it on and "as long as I get a Million!" In reality , who is gonna pay big money for this?
What was steve collins best wins apart from past prime benn and eubanks.?
He did duck calzaghe and wanted no part of him.
Collins was confronted about avoiding Galzaghe by Eubanks on the sky boxing show. Collins excuses were embarrassing. We should not take him seriously.
I couldn't stand Collins and Eubank deserved both those fights. There were knockdowns in Eubanks favour that weren't scored.
Exactly. So what else did steve collins do?
Had a great chin but he wasnt great to watch.
Collins is overrated dude.. roy would beat him blindfolded. Calzaghe would do the same.
Grumpiest Old Men: Now it's......where am I? Who are you?
That's the title of the card....I just made it up....it's cool you can laugh
Watch some of his earlier fights, he was much more a cutie. As his career developed yes he relied on his chin and fought a more rugged style. But he was knocked down by a journeyman in his final bout, and admitted to being sparked in sparring by an Irish junior Champion, hence the reason he pulled out the Calzaghe bout. His punch resistance was on the way out, and that was nearly 20 years ago...
He must need the money Collins just wants a big purse, this is a farce RJJ or Calzaghe don't need
the money, but Collins does.
I remember him knocking out Chris Pyatt and it seemed like a man against a boy. Collins was massive. He started fighting in the UK because he got beat by the top fighters in the US.
Chris Pyatt was really a light middle weight, and against Collins it showed yep man against boy,
never a Collins fan, a tough guy but now at his age he's making himself look a fool.
He had his chance against Calzaghe, but here retired he was never good enough to beat
Joe or RJJ, maybe in his dreams.;D
