Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Good fight for both guys. Sergio Mora has been on the cusp for a while, but losses to Vera, even if they were close, and his dumb move to not fight Jermain Taylor in Tennessee for a high six figure pay day have hurt his career dearly. This is a winnable fight for both guys. Quillin can crack but Mora can box. Of the guys available to Quillin, of which there are few, Mora should be at the top of the list.

Thank GOD! Come get your whuppin Sergio!!!!
Knock his ass out Petey!!!!

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Quillin needs to hand in his man up card. He can use the self addressed envelope that came with it. Either that or change his nic to Kid Ovaltine.

Did you say the same when GGG faced that bumass african fisherman Adama?
Mora is better than that..

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
I hate Sergio Mora and I hate Pete Manfredo Jr. I am happy to have seen Manfredo beaten senseless but I am ready to see Mora demolished!

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
I hope not, could see Mora making it competitive though, and shit to watch. Of course he could get sparked out quickly as well, but the guy's never done anything to me:D Quillin vs Jacobs would be a much better fight.

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
I'm curious to see if Quillin accepts the challenge from Mora. As far as I know, this fight is not signed yet. Mora can box and we've seen Quillin have difficulty with boxers in the past. Is it too risky for not enough money for Quillin?

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Good test for Quillin. Should be a good win on his resume...

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Sergio Mora is a bitch! He gloats and tries to sucker in fighters when all he does is play defense....I for one am excited to see this potential match because Sergio is going "night night" and I will rejoice when he does.

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
I'm sorry man but this is a garbage fight for Quillin. He has absolutely zero to gain knocking the hair lip off Mora/less and his people have to aim much higher than a guy still fuming over two losses to a journeyman and 'remember when I did that thing against that guy that time'. Quillin is in the Martinez Golovkin speak and takes nothing away to gain in perpetration with a Nerf ball chucking spoiler who as far as I know isn't even ranked. Quillin needs better. He could cave Mora/less head in two rounds and will get little to no praise from the peanut gallery. Bring on Jacobs if Gbp is serious and let the man make a statement or fall trying.

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Wow, I've heard he was gunna fight Jermain Taylor, Danny Jacobs or Curtis Stevens. Now it's gunna be Mora? Are people pricing themselves out of this? I would have thought a fight with Jacobs or Stevens could have main evented in NY. I fight with Mora could be risky as he doesn't make you look good and generally sucks the life out of a fight. Weird choice if they go with it.

I have to agree. There little to gain from Mora. Quilin could eventually catch up to Mora. Before that happens, Mora could conceivably show the world a blueprint on how to make quilin look limited and very one dimensional

Yeah its a shame Quillin wont fight him either like the rest of the so-called champions. That was mediocrity forced upon us where this is probably a choice. And that "bumass african fisherman" would have probably kicked Quillins ass.

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
This is another fight where Quillin will win but won't look good doing it :( would have preferred Jacobs :D

Mora "fights" should be held in one of those old school fumigation tents they wrap around the entire house to spray for insects and contaminations.

Yeah but Breaking bad made those awesome and we can't associate awesome with Mora :-\

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Quillen is the third best middleweight in the world and getting money in his bank and getting better too. All good for him.

Quillin is the top middleweight. Don't fall for the PR jobs on Martinez and Golovkin.

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Mora is a spoiler and not in a good way. I hate when a guy can get away with being boring, one dimensional and sloppy but fans will call him a "boxer" because he can stay away with his feet and survive on the outside. That's not pure boxing, it's just as ridiculous as a guy like Brian Vera who just swings away without regard but at least he makes for exciting fights. Mora isn't versatile, hes a one trick pony who is a legitimate 7 years past his prime. This is notot a good bout for someone looking to gain momentum in what is perhaps the most top heavy division in boxing. Not liking this fight.

Sounds a lot like Mayweather and Winky Wright to me.... ijs....
;D

Re: Peter Quillin vs Sergio Mora in the works
Mora offers nothing in this giht. He lost to Vera twice, has no power and will just try to survive. Would have preferred a lot of other guys

I agree Floyd is boring to watch, he is good but his safety first approach and running if he faces any concerted attack makes him crap to watch. He provides no entertainment value whatsoever. People only watch him to see him get beat not because they admire his boxing skills.

Hear, hear... but, I have to say, I was with rooting against Floyd when he fought Corrales. I became a moderate fan when he beat N'Dou up really bad. I became a stark fan of his boxing ability when he won over Judah and Mosely... and now he has me in awe because of how easily he beat Hatton and Cotto and has identified himself as the guy who WILL retire undefeated at the highest level. This streak must be watched in its entirety!
I rewatched that Cotto fight- all but a few, short bursts in the middle rounds, Cotto was totally out-classed. It was so lopsided until it was laughable at the time round 8 rolled around how far Floyd was in the fight- and Cotto gave him the best fights I had ever seen aside from Mosely and Judah in recent memory.
I want Floyd to fight Manny ssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooo badly. It would top of a great career.

Im not saying mora is a credible opponent at this stage for quillin but he's more accomplished than adama.. he has wins over brinkley, manfredo, forrest, and Proksa.
Wtf has that adama beaten? Biggest win was over a shot to shit karmazin . Couldnt even beat brewer..
U a joke foo
