Makes sense for Khan to take this fight with Broner, high profile fight on the biggest card around.

Maybe get some written guarantee first if its possible so he don't get fucked around again ;)

People were going to be pissed about either choice. When it was announced that Floyd was probably gonna fight Khan, people were pissed off and calling him a coward about that, too.

I think Broner would be better off fighting Garcia at 140. Garcia hits hard but slow in my book. Would be a good fight.

Top Rank fighters fight other Top Rank fighters. It keeps all the money in Bob Arum's house.
Floyd fights any fighter as long as they're not with Top Rank.
Why? Because Bob Arum owes Floyd lots of money and Floyd is never going to give Arum the opportunity to make any more money off him.

All any fighter has to do to get a fight with Floyd Mayweather is be marketable and not have a contract with Top Rank.

Floyd could not justify fighting Khan based on his home poll when the international Espn poll along with countless others overwhelmingly voted for Maidana. But they knew that before it was orchestrated because they wrote the music.

Don't kid yourselves, Broner was part of the plan or economical equation from the start. Think about it, Broner cant take a tuneup after getting beat soundly by a man he was supposed to beat soundly. Enter Khan. A guy that lets face it has a history of underachieving and choking badly. A fighter who has a dodgy chin and seems to get caught at the worst possible times as in when stepping straight back or off balance. But a fighter nonetheless that beat the man that beat Broner. So again, what better way to get back to the top with the casual viewing public then beat the man that beat the man that beat him? Then after Floyd beats Maidana senseless, Broner will at least be on equal footing should a rematch be discussed. It would not even surprise me to see Floyd drop the belt he will surly win from Maidana and puppet master another title shot for Broner.

Boxing is more about the business and appearance then it is about pugilism. Unless there is a total meltdown in negotiations I think Khan/Broner is a lock. Khan has called Broner out and now Floyd has called Khan out to fight Broner. That is why Broner has been quiet and all of it being directed by the Mayweather consortium. Khan and broner is an interesting fight but floyd only wants it cuz he knows it will boost his PPV's if he doesn't have a good undercard or fight a well known fighter that will be a threat his ppv's won't be so good. Who else can he have on the undercard if it isn't broner vs khan anyways? I'm asking cuz idk if garcia or any other big name is already set for a different date to fight.

1- be clean - you must have random tests done in advance of the fight
2- be marketable - gotta be able to put asses in the seats and sell the PPV (which rules out most everyone on this site)
3- not be under contract with Bob Arum

If Pac and Bradley really want to fight Mayweather so badly then that's all they gotta do. They've even already passed 1 of the 3 since they're both marketable.

There's no proof that they are juicing.(Aside from that time Roach threw Manny under the bus while trying to discredit Ariza...) But its Floyd's prrogative as the fighter to demand that they take drug tests. Since he's his own boss he can make those decisions for himself. Since he's the main draw and money behind the fight he can walk away if his demands aren't met.

If we were 1980`s these guys would be fighting, promoters are getting in the way and paying them well not to fight one another. The fans are being ripped off.
