Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Gaining weight so fast and easy, carrying power up, refusing to take Olympic-style drug testing, and then sending emails to Floyd's camp asking A) what the penalty would be if Pac tested positive and B) if he did test positive, could it be kept a secret...
Is there anyone who honestly thinks he wasn't using PEDs?

I know people will say "aww rumors and hearsay", but coming from Teddy, who is a big name in the business and is quoting a source that he trusts enough to say it on live TV, I think that counts for something.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
I don't even work out any more and my biceps are bigger than Pacquiaos, he clearly couldn't have been on roids. I'm pretty sure he wore brass knuckles beneath his wraps until the Clottey fight, that's all.
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Teddy's a fuckin idiot. Of course Manny was on roids, probably still is. Floyd too for that matter.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
PED's is a broad term.... synthetic drugs, or natural drugs?
You see? We have to classify if whether or these drugs are first illegal. Second, are these drugs damaging to his system. Third, what is a "bad" PED and a "good" PED.
I'm quite certain that some drugs, while they boost stamina and performance, can't be classified as a PED in the colloquial sense of the term- meaning that they are full blown ROIDS like what the Professional Wrestlers use and what the Olympics Committee classify as negative/bad PED's.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Wild salmon is a PED, you guys don't understand how many fighters aren't getting the right omega 3 spectrum in their diet. They should test for all seafood or just let these guys bring guns into the ring, whats the difference.

There will always be doubt becuase he refused to prove otherwise. He also made up bullshit excuses as to why he couldnt like being scared of needles.
Its a joke. Innocent until proven guilty. He had the chamce to prove he was innocent and refused, so its his own fault he is now seen as a cheat.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Unfortunately, in this day and age, there is doubt for every boxer regarding PEDs unless there is transparent VADA-style testing 360 days a year. A top boxer could cycle in and off when he's not being tested and still benefit a lot. It's hard not to have doubts about Floyd, Manny, Hopkins etc.
Manny wouldn't submit to tests. Suspicious.
There's a lot of rumors about Floyd too. Allegedly, his attorneys come down hard on people when accusations are made. Two or three boxers on his team in his camp tested positive. Suspicious.
Hopkins hasn't done VADA-style testing. Suspicious.
The only fighter I'm pretty confident isn't on anything is Nonito Donaire.

Pac didnt have to prove anything because the accusation was baseless..
That's why he took floyd to court for defamation of character and had that bitch nigga backtracking..
Floyd settled out of court for undisclosed amount of money.. if he was so sure that pac was on drugs, he would have fought in court..

That's very true Mr. Rantcatrat.
I think what we are coming to now is that unless you are signed up to go through VADA testing, you are a suspect.
I applaude guys like Donaire and Bradley who have voluntarily gone through the VADA process in an effort to clean up the sport.
If you want to sell a piece of autographed memorabilia, you have to get it authenticated by a reputable company... VADA provides athletes a way to "authenticate" themselves and remove doubt about how legitimate their "supplementation" is...

Yeah but if you go out and say psychics are fake, or chiropractors are quacks, you'll get sued and lose your house because even though you're right, you need proof to defend any slanderous remarks you make.
If you say the Long Island Medium is a fake and it's all bullshit, she'll sue you and you'll lose because you can't prove she isn't a psychic.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Typical script.
Haters will hate.... fans will deny, and deflect hate toward Floyd, the other protagonist in this movie.
I like Pacquiao as a person, and for his accomplishments inside the ring. He's humble, not a chest-pounding illiterate bitch like a Margarito. He's faced the best of the best, and has had to earn everything he's got, unlike the coddled silver-spoon-fed Chavez Jr. There was no famous Manuel Pacquiao Sr., blazing a trail before him, and putting boxing federation presidents in his back pocket. He has losses in his record, even the spectacular KO by JMM, another fighter I like very much, for being a classy guy, like Pacquiao. So having losses, he doesn't have to protect his damn "0", like the coddled Ginger (until he got humiliated by Floyd). He's become a recognizable name in boxing, even delving into politics, and with the utmost respect of his people.
But are there reasonable doubts surrounding Pac's possible use of PED's? Yes. His rise through the weights is unprecendented (with that degree of success). He retained his power several weight divisions above his own. He did refuse to open and random testing. He could've put all those suspicions to bed had he really wanted to. But he didn't.
So why not see things for what they are, instead of injecting blind love or hate into every issue?

If Bradley took steroids maybe his body would grow into his massive bobble head ;D

It is true that a huge question mark hangs over Pacquiao and the PED issue but that same issue hangs over all of boxing. Floyd has no reason not to use anything he can use undetected and that is why his words sound hollow, particularly considering his own Vegas ankle chain hang up.

Good post. Everybody is the sport could be looked at with a cynical lens I agree but in Manny's case there are some real differences in the result of his metamorphism.
Nobody in 150 years with some eras being brutal ever came close to doing what Manny has done. Not Fitzy, Armstrong, Carpentier, Robinson, Floyd or any other atg. Not even close. Nobody in 150 years has ever had their power, speed and reflexes increase exponentially like it did with Manny. Highly suspect if one thinks about it or maybe his peds were simply better. He didn't just beat guys moving up, he destroyed them and elite guys. To me the reasoning is both inductive and deductive. Either way I seem to arrive at the same conclusion. No way in hell did he fight clean.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
No one knows. Most likely yes. As is the case for most professional athletes. Testers technology is behind the cheats which is why they are not caughts as often. The other problem is the money needed to do the tests. I heard an interesting fact regarding athletics in Germany. For every athlete to be tested the recomended amount of times per year would cost 76 million. 4 million is invested in this.
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
probably but not proven, what about Bhop, Floyd, Joe C, Wlad and many others back in the day, they could of been taking all sorts of shit, I mean five ten rounders in six weeks who you kidding every ones at it, be it pain killing jabs before a fight, weight loss pills, extra red blood cells more oxygen carried round the body, the list is endless its all cheating, you just have to be a mug to get caught these dayz.

It may be but he hasnt shot up in how many different weights and remained ripped.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Plenty of people think Pacquiao was not on PEDS.
Myself for instance...
It's too bad that the limpd!<k$ of this generation can't recognize nor respect True Greatness in the ring when they see it. Pacquiao's the Greatest fighter of the past 25 years. Before the De La Hoya fight and all the classic bouts that followed, Pacquiao had already done enough at 126 lbs and 130 lbs alone to be a 1st ballot Hall-of-Famer.
Instead the limpd!<k$ are fooled by The Great Pretender who ducked almost all the best prime guys across 3 weight classes for 8 years while stacking the deck against them primadonna-style in every way. Hatton's the only top prime guy he fought during those 8 years. Good fighter, not a Great fighter.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Oh yeah, and Teddy is in fact an idiot as someone else mentioned....
What fighter has ever stayed with Atlas?
Who has he ever developed from the ground up?
Some may think Tyson, but Atlas was fired when Tyson was 15 years old.
Atlas has said a lot of stupid things over the years. A lot!
And Atlas CANNOT call a fight to save his life!
Whenever the press do fight-predictions, Atlas' call usually means the Kiss-of-Death for that fighter! It's true, it's true! It's DAMN true !!

I'd have to ask what Teddy's commentating skills and intelligence have to do with his integrity and his ability to tell the truth?

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
The question is: Who hasn't used PED's at one point or the other?
Stacker 2 and 1 would be considered PED's in these days.
;D

I don't think he wasn't :)

"BULLSHIT" Donaire has Conte to make sure he has the "Clear" to pass his tests. How is having Conte a valid argument to not being clean when you have all the answers to the test. Just some more rabid Pinoy boys leaving out the facts to place their limited two fighters up on a pedestal.

No doubt Pac is ATG but not over JMM and Floyd. Has to beat Floyd to surpass and need to KO someone at 147 these days. Over JMM not until he KO's JMM . The ODLH fight only gave him recognition on a grand scale. The fight itself was no great achievement it should never have been scheduled. I would love to see Pac fight Broner or Mickey Garcia at 130 now and see how weak he would be now that he is late into his 30's.
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Well Pac started his career when he was 16 so him moving up in weight not as surprising. The WW scene right now is kinda shallow most of them are move ups really. Pac only had one fight at 135 which was Diaz meh, Hatton 140 after his defeat to Mayweather, and Margartio at 154 after getting his shit packed by Mosley. At 126 Lost to Morales who was coming off a lose, but won the series, then beat Barrera and was knocked out as champ in the lower weights. He never really beat Jmm convincing and was knocked out cold by a 40 year old Marquez. Best fighter of the past 25 years eh more like top ten i think would be a better example and yea he was most likely on peds because all boxer are pretty much on peds they would be stupid not to be my favorite fighter Holyfeild most think he was on steroids yet in 26 years never failed a test kinda makes you wonder.

He most likely has never seen a doc during his younger days; there's hardly any doc for poor folks here especially in the countryside.

Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Pac and his camp some how got Floyd to agree to 50-50. When they asked for the ludicrous penalty of 10 million for every pound Floyd came in over weight it was accepted. Now the only thing left for this much hyped fight to happen is the drug testing. Floyd said he'll take the same tests Manny would be taking. Pacquiao (insert lame ass excuse here) said no. You gotta be a complete idiot to not see he was clearly hiding something
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Doesn't explain why Pac's camp sent Mayweather's camp two emails asking what the penalty was if Pac tested positive and if it could be kept a secret if he did test positive.
Are those questions that someone clean would ask?
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Of course Pac was using PED's.
I'm a big fan of Pac but come on!
As if anybody would dispute that!
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
The biggest myth about PED's is that "big muscles" are the main giveaway that an athlete is using. PED's are used for endurance and recovery as much as power. Testing in general is way behind the drugs. Add to that the fact that sports are a big business....and the organizing bodies and sponsors would hate to see superstars be found out as cheats. Lance Armstrong is a perfect example. The French where suspicious of him for YEARS...but we here in the states thought it was sour grapes...how could this cancer survivor be a cheat?! He took all the tests, etc. Up to the last moment...when Lance finally admitted he cheated...some of his fans where trying to defend him. While it certainly shouldn't always be the case...it seems athletes that come under suspicion for PEDs...are more often then not....guilty.
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
There's only one fighter that has agreed to 24/7/365 random testing and that's Donaire. No other fighter has signed up for it despite it being available to them for free. Donaire says he can't even put four pounds of lean muscle on his frame due to all the cardio a twelve round fighter has to do.
Res ipsa loquitur.
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Yep, the fact of the matter is MOST professional boxers at top level HAVE to use PEDs.
I am sure Pac is not alone.
You can hardly train for boxing at the required level as the modern fighter must to be competitive without breaking down via sickness, fatigue or injury and/or retain your lean body mass let alone increase it.
The testing is routinely beat.
That's unfortunately the nature of pro sport in general these days I am afraid.

Didn't we went through this 5 years ago around '09? Maybe he is on something, maybe he isn't. But then again the Mayweather camp came up with A-side Meth? You know that bullshit about Filipinos running through bullets against American troops like Superman accusation? That's the reason why the PED stuff died down with Pacquiao, because that shit was too stupid to believe.
And about the Atlas Email, I remember when that came out he said he was going to follow up on it. Never did. That was almost 5 years back. Probably because the A-side meth shit was too ridiculous.
-
Re: Is there anybody who thinks Pacquiao wasn't using PEDs?
Listen Flydoe Mayweather gave Pac a good deal or may i say arum a good deal. He said he to would take the test so by Pac not taking better tasting turning it down is as much of duck as Mayweather has done. I blame both of them but Pac was doing peds and guess his trainers didn't know how not to fail the test so the fight did not happen. I have no problems with peds most athletes take them in boxing because testing is so easy to pass but Pac was afraid of the test and Mayweather i guess not because he does it every fight now.

Atlas is the great pretender. Plus he has always been anti-pac so if you think his story is credible, I feel bad for you. Even Floyd has never mention an email about that. ATlast make shit up, dumb mofo trying be relevant.
The only mofo who think pac got on PED are anti-pac cause pac whoop on their boys or floyd fans. GTFO of here.
The guy has always been an accumulative punher with great stamina. Nothing change but the size of his opponent and the lack of speed of his opponent making him look even faster. Look at the last guy he knock out with one punch was ricky hatton at 140 and david diaz at 135. Pac should be fighting at 140 if not 135 and he would likely still have his one punch power. Above that he relies on accumulative punches and speed. Name a guy who works harder in the gym, none. He hasn't even gain much weight. Back in his 126-130 days he would ballon up to 145 for fight night. Guess what he weighs for fight night fighting at 147? 145!!!!
Ofcourse its pointless to say any of these cause its impossible to argue with dumb ass delusional mofos!!! Believe what you wanna believe to make your world happier.
