So haye is back in october, I wonder if he will beat wladimir to the wbc belt.. I think he'll take on the winner of povetkin v charr to get a very high wbc ranking and won't be far away from a mandatory shot should he win that.. It'll be interesting..

surely the voluntary defence that don king likes to remind everyone stiverne can have before the mandatory won't be against haye.....

What a suprise. He makes this announcement after doing the rounds on British chat shows and when the eyes of every casual sports fan are on boxing. Disgrace how he can just waltz back into the frame after pulling out of his last 3 fights.

He's a Draw, and charismatic, has a punch, but unfortunately it turned out that he wasn't The Truth... :(

Hell, Shannon Briggs has nothing but a barely-remembered name and a big mouth, and lately a bunch of opponents taking dives, but his mouth is probably going to be enough to talk his way into a big money fight.

I always wondered if haye had a potential serious injury lurking and that's why he didnt fight much, could be he is just lazy and doesn't want to work in the ring to traditionally earn the shots too but who cares really it's boxing and is a business and he is pretty good and brings the money so fair enough

Well he's got to ACT like he's going to fight so he can keep going on those shows

Every single time Haye does any kind of promotion about fighting and then doesn't end up fighting I should get a check for having called him on his bullshit years ago.

28 total professional fights isn't that many.

Wasn't this guy supposed to have "cleaned up" the heavyweight division already???

Haye was on BT sports and he said he was a long way off boxing again and has not even used the shoulder to punch yet. It is far too early for him to announce his comeback let alone a date.

I don't think so, Haye is too cautious and Fury might have had enough. Money does talk louder than caution and old wounds though, we'll see if we live long enough.
