Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Boys at HBO giving a whole new meaning to 'after dark' as frankly their scheduling can kiss my arse...more and more its a jumbled mess. Hope this one is actually live at least...Javier Fortuna 24-0 (18 ) fights Juan Antonio Rodriquez 26-4 (23) and Luis Orlando Del Valle tries to bounce back on the big stage after a dud vs Darchinnyone going against one 16-0 (7) Luis Rosa
Fortuna is quality explosive but not so sure where his head is with blowing weights recently and frankly overlooking some.
Roy Jones sounds a bit drunkard, join the club Roy

Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Del Valle taking clean punches in 2nd, stood up straight and wearing it, he looks stiff legged but this is turning into a scrap
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Rosa given a hard warning in 3rd after LB but finished with combos, he just looks more physical effective. Backing Del Valle in 4th with lead rights and solid body attack. Del Valle sharp counter but no effect and singular though
Warned again by Kenny Bayliss... "Last warning" ?!
Ohhh counter left hook drops Rosa!! he's up and then Del Valle takes a knee but called LB?!?...he went to a knee! Crazy round, Del Valle cut
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Rosa warned again to keep them up, Del Valle goes to his knee early 6th. Good sharpshooting by Del Valle this round, Rosa pushing him back and has him cut up...
Jebus fook...Kenny Bayliss docks a point from Rosa for hitting on the break?!...warns him again for holding him down. I just don't see that, Bayliss is riding his ass if ya ask me
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Del Valle really coming in with the head.
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Its a really decent fight...maybe if usually top notch Ref bought a ticket and watched from ringside it would be better ??? Way too involved
Rosa needs a ko, Del Valle more accurate and sharper in 8th.
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Rosa needs to go balls to the wall...he clearly effects Del Valle but clumsy and not consistent...Bayliss with yet another hard warning and walks him back lecturing Rosa. Luis nose is all jacked up
I'm not normally a ref red alert type guy....but FFS he is jumping in literally every 10 seconds ???
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Scores in 97-92...97-91...98-91...Rosa. Even with a point deduct AND a KD no way it was 98-91 wtf
Forgot for a second that BOTH guys were names Luis...:o The look on both faces, wow

Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Bayless was way to involved. Cards were a little wide but the right guy won.

Agreed bud..Bayliss was all over the map. Class shown for a class champ in Saad there..very nice tribute.
Fortuna reminds me of a Joan Guzman, just a bit. All the ability seemingly but a bit aloof this early...Garcia would paste him

Agreed on all counts. I have a feeling Garcia will be going to 135 by years end.
Just an observation but it sure seems there are more dueling southpaws these days.

Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Fortuna way too sharp and mobile early but he has stale spots where he gets caught in order to offload power..we can all hope for the day when networks stop calling it "rehydrated" and call it flat out he has "fattened up"
Fortuna just got dropped clean but ref missed it. Somehow..

Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Fortuna playing prevent defense and blowing blood out of his nose, I mean HUGE. Loading up too much and eye mucked up...someone needs to tell Rodriquez the fight is there to be had. Didn't expect this at all
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Roy just plugged Rival gloves. They are great mitts and more and more are wearing them
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Fortuna is acting like a guy thinking about left over deep dish pizza in the fridge for a sunday...this is not world class. He showed this on FNF fights ago, bit of through the motions. When he puts his combos together consistent he is C-4 but he looks fragile tonight
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Fortuna just took a left knee late 8th...ref was looking at the buffet menu I guess ???
-
Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Solid combo bust up Rodriquez, has him buzzed! Fortuna on ropes late. Turned into a great give & take round! Its on the table in 10th
-
Fortuna underestimated a tough as nails Mexican

Jesus...Fortuna looks like someone went Game of thrones on his right eye
98-91 was White House criminal I think...he literally gave the 10th away and got two non calls go his way. Right guy won, but Fortuna looks like a guy who has peaked

How Robert Byrd didn't call that first one a KD is ridiculous. And I like Byrd as a ref but you can't miss that

Yeah that seemed wide to me also and Rodriguez got burnt out of two kd's. Not sure why they kept having Fortuna blow his freakin nose so hard. Blew up that right eye like a football.

Re: Javier Fortuna v Juan A. Rodiquez HBO
Fortuna is maxed out and Rodriguez can only blame himself for not letting his gloves fly or would have probably won
