Question about Floyd-Khan.
Why are so many people convinced that Khan would give Floyd trouble? Khan may have speed, but Floyd does everything else better. He has better footwork, better defense, and a MUCH higher ring IQ than Khan. He also has the best timing in the sport.
I think people forget that Floyd is a master at adapting. It would take Floyd 2 rounds max to figure out Khan and start timing him.

Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
Floyd is getting old and is a lot slower than khan IMO if floyd can't hurt khan I think he could be in big trouble. Khan will outwork him all night and win on points I've said it for the last year now. I believe khan is the only guy at 147 who can beat floyd

Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
I don't even know if the majority of people who want the Floyd Khan fight actually believe that khan will beat him but he definitely offers something in a fight that we haven't seen Floyd up against for a while
and khan is always in good entertaining fights

He got caught outside in foul weather and was knocked unconscious by the falling rain.;D
That trash will never beat Garcia let alone Mayweather.

Khan is in good fights because he is so fragile.
He can dish it but he can't take it.

Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
People get excited about Khan's speed and what it could possibly mean to Mayweather's style, now that Floyd is older and slower.
I think it would make for an interesting match up because it would force Floyd to be the aggressor, because Khan has the hand speed to pot shot and get out, so Mayweather's usual ploy of sitting back and counter punching won't be as effective.
I still don't like Khan's chances. I don't think he has the chin to last. People will say "well he survived much bigger punchers than Floyd", yeah, but they were also much slower than Mayweather. Khan is going to get hit with lightning fast, flush punches that he's never been hit with before.

In boxing, you are as good as your last fight and Khan looked good as he took Collazo apart.
Take that performance, add Khan's speed, popularity in the UK, the fact that he hasn't fought Floyd, the fact that Floyd is getting older, and that anything can happen in a fight and you have a good looking matchup.
I've almost convinced myself that Khan should be Floyd's next opponent.
If the numbers look good, Khan might get that big payday.

Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
Yes, Floyd is older.
I think we can all agree that a prime Floyd dominates Khan, though.
-
Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
Floyd will beat Khan. Mayweather will take a couple of rounds to work out the speed and height advantage and then take over as he always does.
I think he deliberately fought the wrong fight against Maidana because he took him for granted and wanted to entertain the crowd. He will be on his bike in the rematch and hut out Marcus.

Khan is older than he was when he was put sleep by Prescott.
Prime or no prime...Floyd slaughters that glass jawed faker.

who else is there that will cause him any problems and can bring the fans?
apart from the obvious

Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
A lot of people were impressed with khan in his last fight but im not one of them. He looked slow. Still bad defence and to me didn't look as fit as usual. I think khan is slipping and when u have a jaw like him you cant afford to do that. However if he comes in in good shape and can fight all the way through constantly throwing punches like he used to. Also with the best defence he has ever had then he might be able to trouble Floyd. But as with most fighters its a big ask. One thing I can say for him is that he will give everything to win and go out on his shield.

I don't think Khan will ever beat Garcia, or Maidana again if he fought him - but of the 3 I agree with those above saying he has the best chance against Mayweather

Khan can beat Mayweather and I've said this for ages.. Floyd can't fight at the pace Khan can anymore.

Khan can't even get past Peterson or Garcia.
Khan never sets the pace...all he does is run..jump...get wobbled..and grab.
That's not setting the pace.

have you ever heard the saying 'styles make fights' ???
This is a perfect example. Khan has the best chance of those fighters named - purely because of his style.
That is all

he has no style..that's what I'm saying.
Running around and throwing punches at the wind can't beat Peterson let alone Mayweather.

Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
How long would it take for Floyd to figure Khan out and time him?
Other than speed, there's nothing special about Khan.
-
Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
Let Khan earn his way by beating Thurman or Porter.
Beating Collazo after getting KTFO by Garcia does not cut it.

I though he beat Peterson think he was robbed in that fight and he was beating Garcia quite easy time he landed that monster shot.
-
For me Khan just has nervous speed. He doesn't throw thoughtful, well put together, set up punches. He's the kind of guy you see at the gym who just throws a little set of combos over and over again obsessed with developing speed from muscle memory instead of focusing on putting together solid, constructive and complete rounds. He's actually one of the most incomplete fighters I have ever seen - he just comes in with his hands up, throws his little routine combos then looks to get the fuck out of trouble and reset, repeat... and that's half the reason why he keeps getting KTFO'd by much slower and seemingly less athletic fighters - these guys actually have a well rounded professional game. If they just focused on having quick hands they would probably be just as quick too. Khan has been been damaged by the amateurs. All I see is a dickhead who who comes in like an anxious totem pole throwing stupid shit like uppercuts from the outside who only ever talks about his fake ass speed. As a fighter Floyd is the complete opposite. He has an educated and complete game that is supplemented by his genuine inherent speed and, as much as I hate the cunt, he will absolutely annihilate Amere Con

I agree with you about Peterson and Garcia, Khan is open to hooks does not defend well against
hookers,;D I feel he can give Floyd problems, remember all the fighters out there have a bogey fighter and Khan could be it stranger things have happened.

Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
People say Khan has a good jab, but honestly, Floyd's is better.
I think Floyd has an underrated jab, or at least, it's underrated compared to his other skills. You can see his jab against Hatton, Mosley, Marquez, and Canelo.
-
I've said it before. I think khan vs floyd would be a lot like Oscar vs floyd except floyd will get the knockout here. Maybe 7th round knockout If it ever happens.
-
Re: Question about Floyd-Khan.
People say Khan's range will trouble Floyd, when it's actually FLOYD who has the reach advantage. Khan's reach is 71", while Floyd's is 72".

Floyd jabs mainly to the solar plexis....
That doesn't count as a jab for some reason.
