What type of statement were you expecting him to make?

My ex had a miscarriage when I was 19. I was devastated. I certainly wouldnt have fought at the weekend but Fury didnt seem too upset.

His uncle was in a coma, its upsetting but it happens. Hes also a traveller so has a very big family. They aint all gonna be able to fit in the hospital room with him and would most likely only be parents, children and siblings, certainly not cousins.

This is how I see it. Peter Fury pulled Tyson out of the fight. Peters brother was sick and Peter didnt want to leave his side. Peter didnt fancy Tysons chances without being in his corner (we all saw how Shit Fury was against Cunningham when Peter wasnt there). Fury lies about how devastated he is to try not to get shit from everyone for pulling out.

Unfortunately when you dish it out like Fury your gonna get it back ten fold.

1 in every 3 pregnancies end in miscarriage


although few people will miscarriage as late a 5 months, its a very common thing

You are completely missing the point. Peter Fury has already explained the situation through the press release (did you even read it?). Peter and Tyson both KNEW about the miscarriage BEFORE they struck the deal with Ustinov. The miscarriage wasn't STOPPING them from fighting. Peter's brother getting ill meant he couldn't be at ringside so he then pulled the fight.

Did Eddie Chambers wife miscarriage too? He pulled out of the bill for the same reason. Peter could no longer be in their corner.

I am not disputing what Peter said. I believe him. He didn't use the miscarriage as an excuse. You are.

i feel that whenever you respond to my posts you make accusations that arent true. i have never ever defended haye. he is ridiculous. i dont like him at all. so why bring up that point?

anyways, there have been athletes throughout history that have pulled out of athletic competitions because of personal matters. that isnt the problem. the problem is that when you pull out, somebody will ask you, "what should i tell the public?" then just say, "personal reasons" if you dont want to discuss it at the moment. i mean seriously, nobody said anything when his uncle was sick? there was no vague statement made? thats why it seems fishy. letting somebody know that you are pulling out of the fight for personal reasons takes 5 seconds to do. i know that its hard but you are still a professional athlete and its your responsibility. i cant just not show up for work and then after a week show up again and just say my uncle was sick so thats why i missed. i have to call beforehand to let them know. its hard but thats the way it has to be done.

It would have been Peter who put a hold on Tyson not fighting as he wasnt prepared to go to a fight over being with his brother. It would have also affected Tyson, maybe hes strong enough to hold it together and focus on the job at hand but without his coach there to boot?

Its well known Tyson needs Peter to keep focussed.

He can still give world champions like Cunningham their first knockout loss just by pissing around but to stay at elite level you need to play it safe. Having all whats going on in his life buzzing around his head without his coach there to guide him would have been ridiculous for what was supposed to be an eliminator.

We can agree on one thing, getting put on your arse by an old cruiser, having to use your considerable size advantage to maul him for several rounds and then still having to resort to grappling his guard down and literally pushing his head up are what I would also call 'pissing about'.

The way he was clowning about before getting dropped hard... That's how focused peter fury gets him?! Wow.

I think we have lost some perspective here, if the guys child miscarried, his uncle is in hospital and his coach wants to pull out, then most right minded people would have done so.

Fighters have pulled out of fights at short notice for hundreds of years, for more minor reasons than these ones.

Also, this is the 21st century last time I looked and there is some pretty unpleasant behaviour going on about him being a gypsy. If you substitute the word 'pikey' or 'gypsy' with 'nigger' or 'paki', surely intelligent people can see that it's just not on.

Regardless of whether you consider gypsies to be an identifiable race or not, the fact remains that it's shallow unpleasant stereotyping.

We are supposed to be fight fans, where people from all races, creeds and backgrounds can get into the ring and have a fair fight. It's one of the few truly egalitarian sports there is ....... And we (supposed hard core fans as we are on this forum) are acting like the sort of anonymous trolling internet warriors that I despise on other sites.
