Who is the ultimate good guy?
In response to the overwhelming success of the thread entitled 'Who is the ultimate bad guy?' I thought I would start a new thread and poll cleverly asking 'Who is the ultimate good guy?' The selection process was long and arduous, but after several days I had my list of ten. Please vote following the decency felt within the beat of your heart.
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
Before anyone accuses me of having lunatic tendencies, the poll does have a trick or two and is designed to test your fortitude.
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
Well I voted Adolf as he longed to eradicate only the truest of evil.
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
The man in my mirror :fight:. Dude needs a cape and his own fookin theme music after today ;D
Or my Pop. That's a givin. It has to be someone you can touch and live I think. I cannot touch Jesus, just like I cannot touch Hitler or Cyclone. Though in both cases baseball bats would be in order. I'd buy Jesus a beer as an ice breaker.
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
Matt Damon. The man can do no wrong.

Thanks for the mention Master, Gandalf must not like me anymore.
@Master
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
I'm losing to Jesus. That can't be right.
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
I like you, Walrus but had to keep it trim with 10 candidates. No point having a list of forum regulars. It needed spice too from the likes of Hitler and Superman.
I understand, Ryanman. Jesus always gets over hyped on these kinds of things and I blame the church for making him immortal and giving him the whole Superman treatment. He was just a man like any other. A bit like a hairy Arab Chomsky. Superman of course was an alien and not a man and so fiction is perfectly acceptable for him.
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
I suppose Superman was up there. Not for the powers he was given, but for not using them to things that benefited him. He was very altruistic.
If I had his powers I'd certainly help people, but I'd also be very rich, a champion in all sports and have a string of women. And I'd look at naked girls using my super speed to be undetectable.

So now Jesus rather than be a pale faced Christian is now a Hairy Arab ? Anything but a Jew right? :p
Re: Who is the ultimate good guy?
I assume in those days it was all likely rather murky. Jews and Arabs lived side by side, but with that climate I assume he looked somewhat Arabic, rather than like a pasty anemic Polish Jew. I have no evidence to support my claim, but neither does the Church, so at least I am trying to remain somewhat logical.

That is a long story filled with supposition and bad guesses so I will not dwell on it. I can say for certain that it would be an easy mistake to assume that I might be a pasty anaemic Polish Jew but that is not the case at all. Most Eastern European Jews are Ashkenazi from Russia and this is what people think of when they think of a cliched Jewish person . I am a Sephardic Jew and my Origins are actually in Muslim countries, in my families case Spain, in the time of the Moors. My great-grandmother was from Scicily and her predecessor from Morroco. My Grandfather spoke Ladino and our tree in theory can be traced back to Shem. The term Jew is mostly misapplied and many referred to as Gentiles could well be more Jewish than those who claim to be. My Grandfather would refer to himself as a Hebrew but not a Jew. Do not forget that there are many other tribes other than that of Judah.
Jews and Arabs share huge amounts of the same genes because they are descended from the same family in the same region. Arabs were there long before Islam. So yes Jesus if indeed he did exist would look Semitic, that is both Hebrew and Arab. Both having Abrahamic blood lines.Semitic.
