Muhammad Ali's Health Getting Worse, Says Brother - Boxing News
Sad to hear, he couldn't even go to the premier of the new documentary about him. Apparently there is no chance he will survive till the end of 2014.

Argue about it all you like but say it was proved without doubt hat the boxing caused the Parkinson's disease, I wonder what Ali would do given the choice in hindsight, do what he did all over again or get the last 20 years of his life back

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
Muhammad Ali has been in poor health for 5-Years.
Hopefully, this is not some 'press release' just to get more interest in the Movie Documentary.

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining

He's had Parkinson's for 30 years he's done well to battle for so long. It's sad to hear the man who had such a big voice , limited to barely any speech.

But why are other boxers not suffering from parkinsons?
Is ali the only one?

Ali was just unlucky to have caught Parkinson's. It had very little to do with boxing. Pugilistic dementia is what some folks associate with boxing.

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
Ali was the athlete of the last century, the most famous man on the planet who brought non fight fans into boxing ..... Hugely charismatic, funny, the epitome of grace under pressure when in the ring and in Angelo Dundee's words "the toughest sunuvabitch I ever trained"
I hope not, but the referees count has been on about 7 for a while now.
:(

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
I remember reading that in a study done around 2000 or so, Ali was still the most recognizable face on earth! Not hard to believe really, if you go back a generation or two, everyone knew who he was. If I had to guess, only Pele could have possibly been more popular worldwide in the 20th century.
I don't find his nearing death any more sad than the shape he's been in for the last 15+ years is. For someone who was such a powerful and charismatic figure to lose their faculties so steadily, I doubt he wouldn't have rather gone much sooner, given the choice.

Muhammad Ali
The world's most recognized athlete from 1900 thru 1999, with the help of the Media {Television}.
Let's leave it at that.

Bill Paxtom
Saddoboxing.com's most recognized ass clown for a couple of months in 2014; with the help of whatever can possibly make a person so fucking boring.
Leave it at that, you old twit.

No, let's not. Put your money were your mouth is. WHO (in your biased opinion) is the biggest athlete of the last century?
We live in an age where I can instantly talk to morons like you from halfway around the world, everything is recorded and shared by billions. There isn't an athlete alive today bigger internationally than Ali was FIFTY years ago... Before colour TV was widely available. No internet, primitive TV networks
Why?

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
Seriously Bill give it a rest mate.
The thread is about the man nearing death and you still cant stop your BS.
At first I thought you just liked trolling but now I'm thinking your obsession with Ali has made you delusional to reality.
Your posts sound like you are posting from the 60s and 70s, like Ali is still fighting and the Vietnam war is still going on.
Just stop.

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
Bill's been chinned from this thread.

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
They've been saying the end is near for Ali for ages I heard Laila Ali had tweeted denying it . She said he was OK. I hope that's true because after the birth of my 2 lovely daughters my happiest moment was when I got to meet shake hands & chat to my idol Muhammad Ali. He took the time to chat with me I was like a kid in a candy store. He was quiet just a real nice guy. As soon as word got round he was there & the crowd came he went back to the Ali everyone expects to see.
For me Muhammad Ali is, was & always will be THE GREATEST!!! in and out of the ring
God Bless Muhammad

Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
I may be one of the few who respect him tremendously for skipping the draft and doing what he thought was right no matter the cost.
-
Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
The war we lost. At such a price, good man.
-
Re: Muhammad Ali's health is declining
One of my best friends growing up was only known to me for his dad being a draft dodger lol. It took him until 2006 to finally be pardoned and able to travel into the states to visit his family, complete fucking joke. The Vietnam war was beyond a farce really, I don't even find it worth arguing about myself.
