Leon Spinks ripped onto the scene with a vengeance unlike few others. The St. Louıs Whırlwınd, missing both front teeth due to gettıng hıt with a crow-bar in a gang war when he was just 16, KNOCKED OUT ALL OPPONENTS AND would have knocked out Ali ın 1978 had the fight gone 30 seconds longer. Spinks also WON THE REMATCH. Neon Leon is the ONLY FIGHTER TO BEAT MUHAMMAD ALİ TWİCE. Thıs makes hım the Greatest of All Time. He went on to knock out many more fıghters, great fıghters lıke Alfredo Evangelısta who gave Ali hell as well, and Bernardo Mercado, and Kip Kane--who was touted as a great up and comıng prospect that Spınks effectıvely destroyed.

Definitely. To add to the Spinks legacy, Cory Spinks is the greatest welter ever and one of the greatest defensive fighters of all time. He shit down Mayorga, a fearsome puncher, and Zab Judah, the most talented fighter since Roy Jones. Great call. Leon was amazing!

A 'young' Leon held Scott LeDoux to a 10-Round Draw as well.

At the time, Scott was the best Fighting Frenchman in the World.

You forgot to mention that Leon Spinks is an Olympian, Light-Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medalist in 1976.
That's when Olympic Boxing was more like Boxing, no headgear, it wasn't like the slap-boxing amateur system of today.

Drugs got to Spinks... he was free-basing before free-basing was popular. lolol...

Plus, he probably was a tad bit too small for a durable HW. Small without all of the power of a Tyson, he was bound to be bullied around.

About 2 or 3 inches taller, and/or with the power of at least Ken Norton, he would have made the heavyweight scene look a little different back then and today.

The Ali victory came too soon he could have been a real contender instead of a lucky champion.

Showed 'grit and determination' in his bout with Scott LeDoux.

Leon was out-muscled during the middle rounds, and looked like
he was going to lose. But those rallies in the last 2-Rounds helped
him salvage a Draw.

The Fighting Frenchman was a tough S.O.B.

You just knew that Leon was going to be good.

Especially, after his October 22, 1977 'battle' with Scott LeDoux, where he held the
Minnesota Brawler to a 10-Round Draw.

Scott was coming off a 'brutal' TKO 8 loss to Duane Bobick 3-Months earlier on {July 28, 1977}

But, in September, Scott had beaten up 'Muhammad Ali' in an Exhibition Bout in Minnesota.

Did Leon Deserve The Draw Against Scott LeDoux ?

Ringside Observers said 'No'.
