Forget Guerrero, he put a pathetic effort against Floyd. You could argue Khan ducked Thurman.
Devon is decent and sets a good fight up with Kell Brooks.
Devon was picked because he can't punch and Khan doesn't want to risk a big $$ fight with either Brook or Pretty Boy.Quote:

Ducked Guerrero to fight Alexander? Really? And he did so because Devon cant punch but Guerrero can? Really? I'm starting to think that just about any fight these days means someone ducked someone. Being a better style matchup at a given time does not mean a duck. I think Alexander is actually a more dangerous fight then Guerrero. Robert will be a gate keeper for the rest of his career and knows it. Devon still thinks he's the next Mayweather and most likely realizes this is his last kick at the cat.
Alexander CAN punch. He lacks the mentality and approach to be considered a puncher, but he's far from a light hitter. He is an intelligent boxer who can set up wicked counters from time to time, I actually think it's a very dangerous match up for Khan. It could also be a god awful wrestling match, but still not a safe fight by any means.

Sorry, but i think guerrero beats khan and devon.
After guerrero gets outboxed by khan in the first few rounds he would turn the fight into a warzone.
He couldnt do that with floyd because floyd is on another level.
I think thats spot on and its also the kind of fighter Khan has found himself up against for most of his career and the style that has given him the most trouble. Khan like Devon is a fight or two away from irrelevance. What he does not need is to be winning another fight and then falling apart when his opponent turns into a blanket.Quote:

I dont know what you guys see in the ghost, He is levels behind Khan and Alexander who both box the ears off him. Hes not a big puncher and his skills arent special. He has a great heart but thats it. Pathetic that you criticise a guy who didnt lose a round to Maidana and claim he is not good enough to fight Khan, but Floyd fighting Maidana twice is ok?

Devon is more of a natural welter than Guerrero. He started at Feather while Devon been at Welter ot light welter all career. and I was talking about Alexander beating Maidana easily. Guerrero offers nothing extra then that Collazo brought. He is so one dimensional as shown in the floyd fight and all he would rely on is hoping he lands a big shot. Judging by Khans performance v Collazo he would have no problem dealing with Guerrero in a similar way. Khan is naturally stronger than Guerrero and would have no problems tying him up inside. At this stage of guerrero career I just cant see him tolerating a loss to khan and he will knows that he wont outbox him but he has the stamina and the heart to go 12 rounds and rock it out with him and possibly ko khan.
Devon is still a problem for khan but I would have preffered guerrero.
Either way, I still want khan to fight brook after this if he is successful.
Did you see Guerrero's last fight? It was supposed to be a fun but easy fight for Guerrero, and although Guerrero did win, he took a beating in the process. I think Guerrero is on the slide and isn't all that good at welterweight. I would pick Devon Alexander over him.Quote:
