Now this is a match up that rivals Tua - Foreman!
Tonnes of power, granite chins, a love of steam rolling their opponents. Man this makes my mouth water and my penis hard.
Prime Bowe was against Holyfield the first time although he put a good run after his defeat to Holyfield where he beat a lot of undefeated fighters.
Prime Foreman after he beat Frazier but we never saw the complete George where he used his jab and paced himself until after the comeback.
Frig knows. I would go Bowe.
Nobody out-clubs Big George. YOu can only beat that Freak of a Nightmare if you are Ali or Ali-esque (Jimmy Young). No way does Bowe hit harder than Ron Lyle and Lyle had Foreman down and out 2 or 3 times in the first 4 rounds but Big George is a Freak of a Nightmare.
George Foreman KO 5.
Big George in 2 savage rounds.;)
Foreman by KO in 3
He had a great chin, but Foreman's was better.
Bowe would have beat the ass of young Foreman and old Foreman.
That's what's up.
Bowe was getting beaten from pillar to post by "ATG" Andrew Golota, until Golota stupidly got himself DQ'ed in both fights. By all rights he should have two more losses on his record. I've never been a Big Daddy fan, and I think with the talent he had, he was a huge underachiever... probably due to his extreme laziness.
Prime Foreman lays him out flat in less than 6 rounds.
(And I'm there enjoying every round).
Ken Norton wasnt as good as Bowe? Bowe had 3 good fights (all with the smaller Holyfield).
Norton had a stellar career comapred to that.
Foreman blew away Norton and ATG Frazier. Jimmy Young fight was already when Foreman was mentally finished and he thought he was jesus and retired for 10 years.
Since when is it inadmissible to bring up performances against other fighters?
Bowe got not one, but two cracks at Golota. And failed miserably in each one.
It can be argued that Foreman would've made some adjustments a second time around against Young.
Bowe gets no sympathy from me.
He has a lot of fans in the forum, but funny how his name never comes up when discussing the top 10-15 all time heavyweights.
I think Foreman gets him out. Bowe wasn't hard to hit, and obviously his mind wandered. If your being buzzed by Hide and a dazed Holyfield, it may not be pretty but Foreman gets you stoned.
When you're talking prime vs prime, it's generally inadmissible to bring up non-prime fights.
That's what's up.
Riddick has the IQ of greek yogurt, but even he knows that's what's up.

Ken Norton had a great jab and could always do well vs slicksters but he couldn't handle power punchers. Bowe handled every style they threw in front of him.
It can be argued that Bowe never fought a good centipede style, but you can only fight what's in your division so we can't hold that against Bowe.

Au contraire, fellow saddo'er..... au contraire.
It's is especially admissible to bring up other fights when talking prime vs. prime.
The fact that Bowe showed the IQ of greek yogurt in and out of the ring is a totally relevant fact when discussing his possibilities against all time heavyweight greats...... a group completely exclusive of one Riddick Lamont Bowe.
BTW.... I just had to post that picture again.
Foreman owns bowe
Bowe ducking Lewis and throwing his belt in the trash was the most cowardly act I can remember.
Yeah but Lewis did the same thing twice when they tried to make him Chris Byrd and then John Ruiz.
At least Bowe ducked Lewis... Lewis ducked Ruiz hahaha
Bo(we) knows that, why don't you??

Comparing Bo Jackson, one of the greatest athletes in the history of American sports, to Riddick "Greek Yogurt" Bowe, one of the biggest underachievers in the history of American heavyweight boxing, is an insult to the great Bo Jackson.
..... and Bo knows that.
On a side note, Bowe was in fact smarter than Greek yogurt. He avoided Lewis ;D
In the ring, Bowe was a rocket scientist. The part of his brain that told him when to throw a jab or smash someone in the mouth with an uppercut was firing on all cylinders. It was the rest of his brain - the parts that advise against kidnapping children - those where the missing pieces of the puzzle.
"Rocket scientist", is it?
I may be mistaken, but it seems to me that were a rocket scientist to experience an explosion upon the launch of a particular rocket..... he'd go back to the lab and figure out what went wrong, so he could avoid a 2nd catastrophe.
Greek Yogurt got strafed by Golota in their first fight..... so naturally he went out for their 2nd fight with exactly the same plan. Forgive me, but I fail to see the resemblance.
Bowe fans are a nostalgic bunch. The "what coulda beens" must be endless.
Too bad the lazy underachiever never reached the heights dreamed by his fans.
He was ranked 21st all time a few years ago, and the list didn't even include Wlad at the time.
If I was in the 22-25 bunch, I'd be pissed.
Hey he beat Golota twice (which is twice the amount that Lennox beat him). He frustrated Golota so bad that Golota had to resort to ball busting.
C'mon man..... really?
Golota beat himself. Not even Bowe's BFF's claim Bowe actually beat Golota.
To say Bowe frustrated Golota is also giving the Foul Pole too much credit.
If Bowe had the IQ of greek yogurt, Golota's IQ was that of the bacteria used to make the yogurt.
Matter of fact, their fights must've broken some sort of record for low combined IQ in a boxing ring at the same time.
Both of them make someone like Brandon Rios look like a Yale scholar.
I dunno man I think Golota was getting frustrated and knew he was gonna get knocked out so he decided to get out of the fight any way possible, if it happened once maybe I'd say it was a fluke win but it happened twice the same way so Bowe knew what he was doing.
Ali johnson dempsey frazier marciano holyfield lewis foreman tyson klitschko holmes charles liston walcott tunney shavers lyle norton patterson ...........
Off the top of my head all are higher ranked than bowe
great mythical matchup
bowe is skilled so wins by decision. Since he gets droppedtwice by Forman it is on points:SD.
Anything can happen with Futch in Bowes corner. I'm going with Bowe by hard fought decision.
When was Foreman's prime as a fighter? His physical prime was obviously Frazier, Ali, Young years but imo he was a much better overall fighter after retiring for 8 years. Trouble is, that better boxer would not be able to keep up with Bowe. Picture the Moorer fight with a different ending. So that would pit the crude Foreman against the Holyfield area Bowe thereabouts. I like Ron Lyle but Bowe is a better Ron Lyle then Ron Lyle. Very similar styles with Bowe imo the better overall boxer. He was also bigger then Foreman, faster and had an equal chin. Not a fan really of either man but I just dont see George winning this fight.
Holyfeild was the only man to beat Bowie that and food he is a great talent in prime one of the best. As for punching power let me ask you this Holyfeild who fought the best punches to walk the plant. out of those Bowie did the most damage being a huge Holyfeild fan the rematch win was his best win as well considering how much size he had to over come to get the win. Bowie was great and he gave Holyfeild in his prime tougher fights then most of the great heavyweights did but he was lazy and eat him self to death pretty much not much else.
I like Bowe's speed, mobility and boxing ability in this one. I see Bowe winning a wide decision or possibly stopping Foreman late, if George becomes tired enough. Bowe had a great jab was very mobile, with good lateral movement when he remembered to use it. While there is always the chance that Bowe gets stupid and tries to go toe to toe with George and pays the price, I say it is more likely he makes George chase him and picks him apart until George is exhausted, at which point Bowe puts on some pressure late for the win.
