Interesting comparison between Jr, Sr & BJS
I have just compiled stats from Eubank Jr, Sr and BJS careers.
Iv done it starting with Jr's 18 fights. Iv then taken Srs 18 bouts leading up to the Benn fight to prove he hadnt fought any better quality before stopping one of the most dangerous fighters in the world.
I wasn't going to bother looking at Saunders first 18 fights as id been led to believe as have a lot of other people that Saunders comp blows Eubank Jrs out the water but it was quite interesting. He does have his last two fights which I havent added but BJS career is nearly 3 years older than Jrs!!!
Eubank Jr 18 fights, 240 wins, 140 losses, 23 draws, 13 by ko
Eubank Sr 18 fights previous to Benn, 224 wins, 214 losses, 34 draws, 13 by ko
Saunders first 18 fights, 228 wins, , 174 losses, 17 draws
Quite interesting to see Saunders opponents dont have as many wins and also have more losses. Yes his last two fights are better quality than who Eubank has faced but he has nearly 3 years as a pro on Eubank.
Eubank is facing the European, British and Commonwealth champ in his 3rd year whereas Billy joe Saunders is fighting someone who has faced nobodies 5 years in to his career!

Fletcher, that last fellow, Ryder - off the top if my head - are much better than anything Eubank has fought
Even Matthew hall would have probly dealt quite easily with Eubanks opponents
When the fight was announced I thought Saunders had the edge, now I'm convinced Eubank will win and probably by knock out

Cool comparison and its the reason I am kind of leaning towards Saunders. Jr reminds me a little of Omar Chavez. The poor kid was coddled and fed no hopers w/o facing any adversity at all and then when he does against Paez Jr he gets raped. On paper Jr has more skill etc but I think this could be a real welcome to the pros and the difference for him will be night and day. I think he could fold and I hope Dad does not jump in the ring and cause a scene. I'm starting to sense another death by hubris for this fight not necessarily Jr's career.

Ross isnt worth argueing with. He is completely biased towards fighters he likes and no logic will turn his opinion. He claims a record high 261 pound Chisora was fit despite not being able to throw a punch after round 3. He takes no notice of the 240 pound Chisora (who was weaker because he weighed less) being able to throw punches for 12 rounds against Helenius and Vitali. Hes clueless when talking about fighters he likes and better off just being ignored.

As for Matty Hall beating Eubanks opponents, yeah he beat Pryce but Eubank stopped Alexey Ribchev in 3 who beat Hall, he also took Buglioni to the 6th.

Just because someones opponents MAYBE fought better opposition (I'm not going to compile every opponents opponent stat to prove a point) if they lost, they lost. Its like when Tyson Fury points out the reasoning that Chisora has faced some good opponents. He says "what does that matter when he's lost to every one?"
Journeymen make money by being beatable. Its there in black and white that Eubank Jrs have less losses and more wins than either his dad or Saunders. Saunders has also taken his merry time compiling that record. Could it be that Warren has been moving him slowly purposefully?

Well then, Billy Joe deserves great credit for giving someone that hasn't "earned" his chance a shot. He doesn't just have the titles he's highly ranked by all world governing bodies. Full respect to the guy for taking a risk he didn't have to

Saunders last 6 opponents cumulative records 102-7
Eubanks jr. Last 6............ 97-34 (forget about draws)
Eubank sr. Last 6 before Benn1 ...... 98-57
I think that's pretty self explanatory.
Now, you said Eubank sr. Fought similar quality bums to Eubank jr. You asked.
" Your right but look at Eubank Srs record prior to beating Benn and point someone out better than anyone Eubank has faced.

So , in a nutshell,
Kid Milo - Equivalent of Nick Blackwell
Johnny Melfah - equivalent of John Ryder
Hugo Corti - equivalent of Curtis Stevens
Anthony Logan - equivalent of Jarrod Fletcher
My point was that Saunders has fought these kind of guys at this level, but Eubank jr. Hasn't , so how can we judge Jr?
I'll finish by repeating a question I asked above. Do you think any of Eubank Jr's opponents to date will ever fight for a World title?

Yeah, clearly Jr doesn't need a trainer, if it wasn't embarassing enough for Davies in the last fight, where Snr told him to get out of the ring, he now has jr saying he's pointless.

Years ago when Eubank was champion Davies labelled himself as "the highest paid bag carrier in the world".
Clearly he has a role to play other wise would the Eubanks pay him to do nothing? He understands the psyche of Chris Sr, which is why the two had such a successful partnership and why Tibbs is yet to train a man to beat them;)

Guy he's sparring is Tariq Quaddus - 6-1 lightheavy.
I read a comment about this sparring from a knowledgeable insider that pointed out a "mistake" young Chris was making. Anyone?

A lot is being made of the quality of Saumders last few bouts compared to Eubanks. OKane, Ryder and Blandamura. Look at their records and who they beat before facing Saunders. Nothing impressive at all really.

Id say he's ducking to his right in to Saunders left. Also circling right. Wouldn't make much of a difference as Saunders will go back when he feels the strength.
