Fury is the only man out there with the attributes and heart to take it to Wlad.
Wlad would be the first live body over 6 foot 3 that Fury has ever fought... and he's not just any live body...
Are we talking in a fight under the rules of boxing?
For the pure comedic lead up Fury vs Briggs. I'd actually watch that. Wlad kos both
Fury can do it. He can be champ. Let's go champ!
Steelhammer v Mudslide hmmmmm I wonder.
Wilders one punch KO power has to give him a chance. I think Wlad will stop him. Its hard to know. Fury boxed the whole fight south paw. I dont see why he does this. He wont be able to do that against Wlad and surely he should just be getting best prepared for the fight.
I really hope this fight happens would be a good spectacle. Out of curiosity what price would you back Fury at Ross?
Vlad just hits him, in the head, and if he needs a break he hits him anywhere else he wants to.
Tyson has not got a punch that will even push Vlad back, let alone knock him out.
The question is does Vlad want the fight? He's got a fighting chance of being blustered and fouled by Fury, why bother?
He's going to get killed.
Fury is young big strong and would take advantage of this priceless opportunity put in front of him......that he didn't really earn.
Klitschko is (like it or not) the best HW in the world and had he not been KO'd 3 times in his career he'd be considered top 10 maybe, depending on how you really rate his opponents.
Fury has some advantages but I don't see how Wlad doesn't land at least 1 bomb a round....
....and I don't see how Fury will be able to take 1 of them.
I have started to like Fury a little more recently and I can see the talents he possesses but his chin isn't something that he can really improve all that much and his power isn't deadly, and Klitschko has proven that he can nullify power quite easily.
Mid to late stoppage for Wlad and at a very optimistic push.. UD for Wlad.
Well all I can say is hopefully he comes to fight....Wlad will knock him out regardless, but at the very least Tyson should go down swinging.
The build up to the fight will be funny of course because Tyson Fury is another British fighter with an alligator mouth and a hummingbird ass....just like David Haye he'll talk himself up all day long only to lose.
Now we cant take that impressive win over Chisora to far afield. The guy is pretty one dimensional. Fury took away his left hook by fighting southpaw and thats all she wrote. It kind of resembled a Wlad fight except Furry had better movement and never grappled the guy to exhaustion.
But really, how bad a matchup could it possibly be? Given the record of stiffs that have walked to the plate its probably to toughest fight he's had since Manny took over. I bet he does better the Haye or Postev....I mean Pulev.
Fury moves well for a big man and has pretty fast hands for a hev. He is athletic for his size and to me looks like a guy that just knows how to fight. One of those aspects that cant be trained like chin or power.
I think its an interesting matchup given all the intangibles and most certainly cant be any worse then the sorry ass group of challengers that has so far tried. Povetkin gave a valiant effort once he retrieved his balls from the jogging trail but even he had to lead with his head to try and get inside.
Maybe Fury does get blasted out. So what?
I actually think tyson fury is the saviour of the heavyweights!!
He is also very good up close at holding etc
And I reckon he is the only one to beat klitschko
I actually think Fury has virtually no chance, but like IamInuit said "so what?" He will put up a better effort than Haye and most of the other guys Wlad has fought recently. He will go in there believing he can win, and his heart won't be in question. He will attack and I reckon because of that , he will get put on his ass a few times. However, I reckon he will keep getting up and I think that maybe he'll see the final bell.
As a bloke, regardless of how good or bad he is, you've gotta love the guy. the press conferences will be fun , Wlad will hate him in the build up, but I think he'll earn the guys respect by the end.
Tyson Fury doesn't get extension on his punches and that's one of the reasons he doesn't knock anyone out....he short arms everything which is doubly bad because that means he gives up height and reach and against Wladimir that's just not a winning game plan.
Fury knocks him out early
Then an all British showdown for world heavyweight title in summer 2016 at Wembley
I'm actually a fan of Fury's because I find his antics amusing, but he's not in Wlad's league. I wouldn't pick him to beat Deontay Wilder to be honest. I think Haye would have flattened him had the fight taken place.
Honestly I'd be amazed to see him go past 6 vs Wlad.
Tyson Fury is a good heavyweight, you don't beat the guys he has beaten without being good. But I think he's much like Nicolay Valuev in that his size makes him difficult for some heavyweights to handle. That said, it won't really bother Wladimir because Wlad has already beaten guys like Jameel McCline, Tony Thompson, and Maruisz Wach that are bigger in height and weight than Wlad and those have been relatively dominant wins for Wlad. I think Tyson Fury is too easy to hit, I don't know what he was trying to prove boxing southpaw vs Chisora (either he thinks he's clever or he is doubtful of his own boxing ability) but he could stand on his head and Wlad would still knock him out.
It will be a fun watch that is for certain
Nope, Wlad isn't ready to lose and I can't see any current heavyweight who could take him. He will retire without any further loses. He will probably win the fight with a couple jabs. Emmanuel Stewart told Wlad his weakness is his chin so he trained Wlad not to get hit in the chin. Wlad seems to have changed things up after that prov fight and has become interesting to watch again. I think he read all of our posts here and saw what he needed to do. I hope he keeps up this active style. One more hugfest and I will boycott him for life.
What I found very funny at the weekend , before the fight fury said Chisora was a bum and he beat him easily the first time , this time he would knock him spark out.
He of course boxed well from southpaw and dominated the fight but failed to KO him spark out, Chisora's effort was pathetic and he showed how limited he really is.
Then after the fight fury say - who else could have boxed southpaw and dominated a world class fighter like Derek lol , short memories these boxers.
Let's put it in perspective ross, he beat a limited, 1 dimensional, declining, short armed, 6 foot 1 boxer with only average power and it took him over twice the time to make Chisora retire than when a part time cruiserweight was able to drop him twice and stop him.
It was a comprehensive, but lacklustre and relatively insignificant win.
unless Wlad really gets old over night I can't see how Fury can win....he has no punch to even get lucky
Job Biscuit (no chance)!!!
eh eh!!
You'd have to make Wlad the favourite but I'm interested to see what Fury offers at the very top. He wont be able to fanny about like he did with Chisora which was a good performance by the way, other than getting twatted by Haye Chisora is a handful for anyone and still a top 10 - 15 heavy, fury did what he wanted when he wanted.
The acid test is can he handle what Wlad can dish out. He might get chinned out but it's still the most interesting Wlad fight out there other than Wilder who I think deffo gets chinned by Wlad.
Tyson Fury is green no doubt, but aren't all the heavyweights that haven't gotten a title shot yet?
Fury, Jennings, Wilder, Stiverne....they either haven't fought big power or they haven't fought good boxers or they haven't fought guys who were supposed to test them.
I think Fury's attitude is good enough to where he'll be confident in his ability to win....but the bad part of that is his attitude may also work against him by allowing himself to get hit, giving up that height and reach advantage....he's going to try but Wladimir will just hammer the hell out of the guy.
I think it won't happen, I am going to guess wladimir will take on jennings and defeat him then take on the wbc champ whoever that is and win that then he will be faced witha demand from the wbc and wbo to take on their mandatory fellows and wladimir will drop the wbo belt or just retire, fury then goes on to take on someone like boystov and becomes world champion and hilarity ensues !
Kltschko KO3
Let's be honest, very weak opponent for Wladimir.
He has the length, but Wladimir's shots hard enough to knock Fury flat out and they are so much faster and sharper he'll beat him to the punch every time.
Couple that with vastly superior defensive and offensive skills, immaculate conditioning and you have all the ingredients for an early upset.
Pulev was 2ce the boxer Fury was. Fury looks good against smaller oppoents mainly.
The only fighters who can really upset Wlaidmir now are those with good offensive qualities, a great chin and a really big punch. Fury has none of these qualities.
Vlad will win easy if he fancies it, but he is in a position where he is 'kingmaker'. He can pick and choose his opponents, and I'm not sure a gobby troublesome pikey will be high on his list of priorities, perhaps if he cleans up Haye/Price etc. he deserves a shot. Not based on what he's beat so far.
Joshua is the one to follow, Hearn Jr wants him in with the pikey next year, if it flies it makes more money that a Vlad fight, sad but true
Not sure m8, fury is significantly taller than wladimir(3 inches but it is noticeable) he is heavier and more importantly mr fury really knows how to make it rough, which is a favourite tactic of wladimir these days, I think wlad doesnt need to grab, hold and push around people as much as he does but he does it to gain an even bigger advantage over the enemy, if he takes on fury he will come up against someone who is his equal in using these roughhouse tactics but fury is taller and heavier so wlad can't rely on roughing them up... I do think wladimir is too good to be beaten by fury but it would not be as easy as his last fights have been due to furys size and excellent grappling capabilities... I would not be surprised if negotiations break down when trying to arrange this mandatory title fight... wladimir has bigger and easier fish to fry and fury can gain a shot at a vacant title(wbo) by being awkward...
Yeah the length and weight matters sure, but Wladimir is still much stronger than Fury, he isn't getting roughed up by Fury. I don't expect WK to grapple him even as much as vs Pulev. I expect it to be more like the Wach fight.
WK is so much sharper than Fury it isn't funny. He'll beat him to the punch every time.
Wladimir could take Fury's best shots.
Fury would crumple under Wladimir's.
My opinion anyway.
But this sort of debate is exactly what will promote the fight.
I think Fury is a much better boxer than Wilder. But Wilder has the potential to knock Wlaidmir out early, however slim the chance really is.
