P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
P4P is now heating up! It seems lately that a lot of forum goers are having issues with the current top 3 slots.
Many are showing their disdain for Mayweather & the knockout of Erik Morales has done a lot to Pac fans/hopefuls. Now the "What have U done for me lately issue" seems to be a biggie.
This is your P4P list...so do it. Make it yours. Vote!!!
But vote with your head & not just your heart.
Here's the link to our current P4P list standings: http://www.saddoboxing.com/boxing_fo...c,25173.0.html
My vote is for Wright...because that was who I wanted initially...but in all honesty...I think that we should wait before switching up...so I voted for the last opiton.
How would you have the top 3 spots go? Is it just right? Should it be changed? If so...how?

Another couple of months won't do nothing. If you wanna wait to share your opinion then you should wait 4-5 months. I wanna share my opinion right now, so Pac man #1.

So the fact that Pac has a loss & a draw over the course of the past year & Floyd does'nt isn't a factor for you?

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
Pacmans had mixed results recently . Win. loss draw
Winky has won on points everytime but his biggest wins have coem against guys who peaked a couple of years ago at lower weights .
Pbf has remained undefeated but his opposition has been far from impressive .
Barrera has unified and started Eriks downward slope . He is also about to make history so that makes him p4p number 1 beyond dispute

Mayweather has been undefeated against whom? Oh yeah, the world class Brussells,Mitchell and Gatti. Pacquiao drew with Marquez who is better than anyone PBF has faced and lost to Morales who is a legend and it was a close decision and he (weeps)smacked him the rematch. I would respect Floyd a heck of a lot more if he lost against somene truly world class, had a 1 in his loss column then came back to beat that person then fighting average guys. However, if we have a poll, I do not think Floyd will be lodged from number 1 because people just follow him blindly without justifying it,heck even Hatton beat Tszyu, all the P4P have someone as of late that they have beaten that is world class!
GAME,MAB is great BUT he has not taken the rematch clause, he is attempting to beat a guy that has already been done over by PBF and Erik and his third fight with Erik could have been a draw. His last few fights have not been against the quality of Pacs or Winkys regardless of when Winkys peaked or Pac closely lost! As much as I hate to admit it, it would be wrong to have MAB ahead of Pac considering what 1.)Pac did to him!! 2.)that he has not taken the rematch after such a long time!
P.S. i THINK Wwinky should be number 1,Pac 2(had him at 4 last time but re-evaluated his accomplishments,Floyd@3

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
hey wacko...in that topic i started about if floyd loses....brough out a lot of points on why pac deserves to be p4p #1...pac from 106 to 130lbs he debut and k.oed king barrera in 126 move up another division not caring for belts just fighting who fans say is best also k.oing morales at 130lbs...hey p4p im going with pacman right now......pac is fighting only the best that will fight him in his division...floyd doesn't there so much fighters he should of fought already but he hand picks oppenent and ask for more money...we never hear manny talk about not getting enough money for fighting specially fighters with big names like barrera and morales...winky fights great fighters too...but if winky beats taylor i might put him up as #1 p4p..but rite now pac is p4p king...but p4p list is constantly changing...and i personally think as #1 p4p is curse kus those who has been on top has suffered unexpected defeats or k.o's....

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
People still forget who PBF beat earlier on. He beat the very best at several weights and was the legitimate champ several times. And he's never lost.
Jose Luis Castillo, Jesus Chavez, Carlos Hernandez, Genero Hernandez, Angel Manfredy, Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti, Demarcus Corley.
Several of these guys that Mayweather beat are considered top fighters right now. When you've beaten so many excellent fighters and have never lost, we can't doubt his standing as #1 p4p.
I hate Mayweather as much as the next guy, but I challenge you to find somebody who has beaten opposition as good as Mayweather's and has not lost.
And this is coming from a big fan of Manny Pacquiao, Marco Antonio Barrera and Winky Wright. They are 3 of my favorites and I hate Mayweather. But I want to give PBF his props for being the best right now.

That's why P4P is so hard...you can't just look @ what's happened lately...you have to look @ the whole package.
Glad someone finally touched on it.

How is winky not #1? What else does he have to do? Beat Taylor, when he isn't even in the top 10?

I think Mayweather wins this still. He is the best fighter out there in skill/athleticism.

as much as i like pacquiao, i have to go with pbf as #1. until pbf loses or pacquiao continues his winning ways against top opponents, i say pbf retains his position at numero uno at this point and time.

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
Calzaghe should be No 1 IMO. His record speeks for itself and the manner of his latest victory should at least have him talked about for the top spot. If you disagree then what else does he have to do to become no 1?

Well hes only had one career defining fight so he is no where near number 1 pound for pound...hell i dont think lacy was even ranked in the top 10 p4p.

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
True, yet many have admired his boxing skills for years and said how good he was. Now he has proven he was better than most, including his fans thought. It's more about the manner of his victory for me that should get him talked about in this spot. Remember B-Hop was often said to be in a weak division but he was no 1 for years. Calzaghe has beaten 5 (I think) ex world champions excluding Lacy, and has had 18 defences of his title.
PBF for me is the only one who could challenge him although I accept there are arguments for Winky and MAB as well. His record and performances for me demand he is at least talked about when discussing P4P No 1 rankings.

If Wright beats Taylor, and Floyd beats Zab, they are hands down 1 & 2. Who's 1? Floyd has 0 losses, but beating Mosely twice, Tito, Solliman, and then Taylor makes a very loud statement.

It's a shame, if giving the fans what they wanted was a big part of being #1 Winky wouldn't be in the top 50. To me he's another version of John Ruiz, yeah he finds a way to win but you don't really enjoy how he does it lol.
Calzaghe is easily #1... PBF didn't look spectacular in the outting with Judah (he looked slower and didn't have his deceptive power at 147), and people are still questioning him about Hatton and Cotto. Why question? Because they believe Hatton or Cotto has the tools to beat him, unlike Calzaghe who 99% of the boxing world would agree has noone anywhere near his weight that poses a threat, thus hes #1. Not to mention he tells things how they are ("He's shit!") :)

I guess you guys should really put Taylor at the top of your list then... ;)
He did beat the P4P Great Bernard Hopkins twice and got a draw with the P4P Great Winky Wright ;D
Who on Floyds list of conquests rates higher than BHop and Wink? and Jermain is UNDEFEATED... ;D

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
My top 10 P4P
1.)Manny Pacquiao/Winky
Look at their level of competition over the last few years and remember,Manny was koing champs at lighter weights too, heck Larios,a tune up was more dangerous than anyone PBF fought in last 4 years!
2.~)PBF-still has an 0,amazing skill, resume in last 4 years sucks.Where's the danger men?
3.)MAB-looks like he is aging but look at his record! Will beat Rocky comfortably.
4.)Rafa Marquez, knocked out 2 champs and I think his last 10 opponents have been top 10 RING MAG!
5.)Hatton-still has an 0 and Maussa/legendary Tszyu/tough Collazo and next years JLC makes an impressive list!
6.)JC-awesome fighter, beaten everyone he can, only question mark, what's his defining win? If not that biig,he needs to make noise some other way, maybe unify?
7.)Jermain Taylor-kudos on the resume but I believe Winky and B hop first time beat him.Needs a CLEAR victory to shut critics up.
8.)Castillo-made his name by "beating"PBF first time even though he wan not even P4P top 20 at the time! Since then, awesome resume although tarnished his name with 3rd Chico debacle.Should make up for it with Hatton fight.
9.)Corrales-look at the names there-almost a trilogy with Castillo, trilogy with dangeous Casamayor coming up,Freitas etc etc and he's only been beaten when weight drained severly, cut and and to an overweight cheat.
10.)Jorge Arce-awesome fighter, good names on resume, mayb needs more big names but been unbeaten for So long against good opposition.
Notable mentione-
Cotto-needs 1 big win to be in there as his resume is very good.
Isreal Vazquez-ditto
Ivan Calderon-ditto
Erik Morales-want to put him there so badly and win over Pacman would qualify him for sure.Look at all the great names he has fought.
JMM-deserves to be in there as most of his losses contraversial but needs 1 more big win imo.

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vot
1) PBF-So good that there's really no point in him fighting anymore cause everybody KNOWS he can't be beat
2)Antonio Tarver-He beat Roy Jones twice (probably three times) :o Would have beaten Hopkins if not for the movie and the weight drain
3)Zab Judah-when he's focused, nearly unbeatable.
4)Pac-Might be number 1 but he's been beaten twice by really small peope, like 4'8 112 pound guys. Not just beaten, knocked out. By really tiny tiny human beings. Almost not even real people.
5)Winky-Would be higher but he never knocks anybody out. Hey Winky, why don't you start concentrating on throwing your jab. BORING ::**
6)Cory Spinks-Starr told me he was really really good. And he's the biggest boxing star in the hip hop community.
7)Lacy-Look at how ripped he is. 8)
8)Hatton-Very good fighter.
9)Reda Zam Zam-Really like his name but that's not why he made the list.
10)Anthony Mundine-when he only had like 10 fights he almost went the distance with Sven Ottke.
Honorable Mention: Barrera, Jose Luis Castillo, Kid Diamond, Diego Corrales, Jermain Taylor, JMM, Vivian Harris.

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
I think Mayweather is an easy # 1 pick, the guy is masterful is every aspect of boxing. he does everything perfect. I would say he is a top 5 pound p4p of all time ! Floyd does so many thing correctly and flawlessly.
Barrera is good, but far from flawless as he have plenty of holes , and Pacman has good power and speed but he is also far from flawless and actually a little reckless at times. The # 1 is so easy because its clear that Mayweather is superior in so many area's and has more arsenal.. after Mayweather it becomes more difficult because everyone else is about at the same level, so the #2-3-4-5 spots are harder to fill in.

Re: P4P now heating up! What have U done for me lately seems to be a biggie. Vote!!!
After knocking out taller and bigger Jorge Solis this year, I think Pac is leading the p4p race.
If PBF wins convincingly afainst ODLH, then PBF and Pac will tie in first place.
