THE RULES OF THE GAME
If you lose your JOKER to a cancelled/voided fight you will get 3 points for the value of your JOKER.
Scoring
Should your fighter of choice go down in flames no points you will be awarded.
If your fighter of choice wins but not as you called it you will be awarded 3 points
If you just type the name of the winning fighter you will score 1 point.
If you call a points win you will score 6 points.
If you call a Unanimous Decision you will score 8 points.
If you call a Split Decision you will score 10 points.
If you call a Majority Decision you will score 15 points.
If you call a Draw you will score 20 points.
In fights where the referee is the only judge a decision win will be worth 6 points, regardless of whether you pick points, UD, SD, etc. We will try to avoid those when we can.
If you call a Technical Decision you will score 25 points. (If a fight ends in a TD you will get six points if you called a pts win, but you will just get three if you called a UD, SD, MD, or a TKO)
If you call a DQ you will score 30 points. A ruling must be made within 24 hours.
If you call a KO/TKO you will score 8 points.
If you call a KO/TKO and the correct round you will score 20 points. If are off by one round (plus or minus) you will score 4 points. If you are off by more than one round you will score 3 points.
If I predict a KO1 and Saddo predicts a KO12 , should I get the same 4 points that he gets if it ends KO11? No. This will award the "close" prediction and keep us from just throwing out a random number to try and get 15 points.
A STAR fight is worth double points and is pre-selected.
A JOKER fight is worth double points and is selected by the individual.
You cannot play your JOKER on the STAR fight.
If there is a change of opponent in a STAR fight the scoring will not change and you may pick the new fighter to win. It is up to the player to keep track of the goings on in the boxing world.
If there is a change of opponent in a non-star fight the fight will be VOID.
Everybody gets one. One week off per competition. During this week, you will be awarded the average points of the field for that week. If you miss out the first week and play the second week, we will calculate the average of the first week and that will be your week off. If you only get in during the third week or following, you will get the average of the previous week only. And more to the point, where the hell have you been? Once your holiday week has been played, you will get a star next to your name on the leaderboard, and no further holiday weeks are allowed.
Don't bother us with your boring, pointless shtick every single fucking week or you will be deducted 45 points.
All predictions must be posted in this thread or Private Messaged to Silkeyjoe before the fight begins. Only If you have under 100 posts and cannot send PM's can you start a new thread with your picks in it.
OumaFan, superheavyrhun, Silkeyjoe and Saddo can change any rule in regards to this contest. There will be 72 hours notice before changes take effect. If you do not log on within three days then the change will occur without your knowledge.
Anyone caught cheating will be banned from the contest. Oh, we know things. We're watchin', bub.
Saddo can veto anything and everything in regards to this contest.
Leaderboard will be updated on a Monday or a Tuesday. Any point queries DM Silkeyjoe.
All picks must be entered at the same time on the one post. If you enter multiple posts you will get awarded no points for that week

@Silkeyjoe Am I to understand that we cannot make changes to our picks?
If so it's in direct contradiction to this which is also in the rules:

Sorry guys was away at a wedding this weekend. Tried post my picks but doesnt look like they got posted (pretty drunk at the time) so just have to use my holiday week already?
