I knew I'd heard the name of the first guy, and sure enough he fought a young Thomas Hearns and took a frightful beating. He didn't seem to have a lot of ability, but looked an extremely tough and cerebral fighter at the least. What was unbelievable about him to you? He took some absolute monster right hands off Hearns and I think only went down once or twice but was able to get to his feet with his senses, so obviously a freaky chin, but what else?
There seems to be a lot of really good Asian boxers throughout history, but not a lot of true greats.

I think the key is definitely steroids. Manny and Galaxy were definitely on the juice and they are the two greatest.

Most I can do is speculate as well..maybe PED that allowed Pac to train harder? But as far as for power/muscles- his start at such a small weight simply denies that type of use. Pac was starching fighters since day one.Quote:
