It was a great finish and he showed a lot of skill and promise tonight. Glad for him.

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Bad referring really bad Rose was hurt but had not been down shit.:(
-
I thought that at first. Rose was pretty shaken though, should have took a knee. Ian John Lewis is way too quick to stop fights though.

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
I could swear I am pissed off, yes I had money on it shitttttttttttttttt.:vd:

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Prematurely stopped, especially in his home town he should have gone out knocked out not still in his feet.

Over now. Ormond disqualified. Great war while it lasted.

Repeated headbutts, coming up under Flannegans chin. All pals at the end though. Made me laugh.

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Nice to see a Brit getting screwed over by a ref in the UK for once.
-
Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
My Bet Ireland to win yes, Liverpool to win yes, Tom Doran to win yes, Flanagan to win yes,
Rose to win WTF , Shit I was not best pleased with Lewis he cocked up again.
Yes I no Rose was hurt it was the 1st round, he had not taken much punishment, he was
stunned he had hurt Jones early in the round himself.:vd:

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Rematch written all over it

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
I think Ian John Lewis doesn't like boxing. He believes in non-violence and only got his license to enable him to stop bouts at the first sign of a punch landing. Cunning move.
I can see him in future bursting into the dressing room before a fight and waving it off there and then.

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
I thought it was a terrific stoppage - as I backed Jones by KO. Even shouted "go on then" the second Rose wobbled. You can always rely on IJL

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Is Ian john Lewis the same guy who ruined Enzo vs Mckenzie 1? Why do they keep allowing him to ruin boxing matches
He starts every fight with, "I am the wefewee" (cuz he can't pronounce his Rs)
-
Jus watched the prize fighter tonight as I had it recorded did anyone notice the second fight where ijl scored all 3 rounds to the lad who didn't really get a going till the late second round , guess he had a bad day at the office lol

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Watch Brian Rose after the fight storming round back stage. He kicks a little traffic cone flying in temper then walks n to what looks like a lounge bar and falls over!;D either he tripped or the ref was justified;)
Go to 8.57

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
He didn't fall over he bent down and threw a table over. Brilliant.

I backed Doran @ 9/1 to win PrizeFighter too ;) (when the voodoo gets briefly lifted don't fuck with the Fenster)

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
I never saw the fight but then I read on a website that Rose was stopped in the first, then I saw that Ian John Lewis was the ref, then it all made sense.
He seems to be on power trip when he refs and get's off on that wagging his finger at the Boxer "Look !! I'm the ref !! I don't take your S**T....Box" mentality
He front's like he's hard and tough and no-nonsense then craps his pants, like Shaggy in Scooby Doo at the first sign of trouble and stops fights.
-
Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
That stoppage was premature especially after Rose had hurt Jones earlier.

Correct mate I am going before I start swearing.:30pr3:

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Ian John Lewison is a disgrace. Never mind the stoppage did you see his 30-27 scorecard in the 2nd prizefighter fight. Shocking.
Lads you got very lucky with Doran. Keeler would have won that easy had he not hurt his hand.
-
Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
Good stoppage, the Englishman wouldve gotten permanent brain damage if Jones had landed one more good shot, the bloke was utterly defenseless and out on his feet. great stoppage. Good to see there was no damage to the poor Mr. Rose.
-
Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
It was a strange shot that hurt Rose. There was talk of a rematch but it could the same way Price v Thompson.

agreed it was strange, but it hurt him and it made a loud sound that first shot on the ear, really loud, right at the end of the punch. Then he proceeded to eat about 10 more shots on the button, and started a lil' Zab judah mini-dance there at the end on his heels, good stoppage, he had no idea where he was, and didnt know how to clinch or tie up his opponent , it was the perfect 15 seconds left in the round for another 5, 6 power shots could have seriously injured Mr. Rose, good stoppage, getting hurt with a shot is one thing, but wobbling like that back on his heels, totally off-kilter at the waist and hips, like a rag-doll, well, thats just Danger Zone City and it was a good stoppage.

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
The Ian John Lewis has a lot of previous
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oDnQ0TkpiA
Go to 6.45 where he stops Enzo Macarenelli when he fought Ovell McKenzie. Ian John Lewis should not be in Boxing, what makes it worse, is that he's not even sure himself that he should stop it. Just look at this joker, the way he jumps in, but he's not sure.
I'd have more respect for him, if he just went in and was decisive, and sure of himself and waved the fight off.
He's terrible ref

His fight was far more ridiculous to stop than the Rose fight. Rose was out on his feet and taking shot after shot.

Re: anyone watching Brian Rose v Carson Jones?
After Rose was hurt Jones landed about 2 from 10 punches. Roses hands were high. Just a shocking call

I don't think so mate, Keeler lost I was not impressed he was lucky to win his first fight, sorry mate
over hyped Doran boxed well with in himself.
Keeler was pretty poor plenty of power, but very little else.;)

He was one handed after round one of first fight, which is why he threw loads of left hooks and upper cuts. Couldnt use his right hand at all.

I have seen Doran box a few times, HE CAN PUNCH a bit himself Michael Bispin sparred with Tom
and he got put down 3 times by Tom.
Keeler was still using his right hand mate, but he was out boxed and Doran beat a bigger puncher
in Renda , Tom has a very good left hook.!:)
