Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
Apparently the MGM sold out in 15 minutes. Have not seen the fine print but it appears to be a trilogy. I think Floyd might get stopped in the first go and be reborn and win two straight.
The fight may not really mean that much historically based on its timing but Floyd winning 3 straight over Manny and finishing with 50 and 0 would be something else.
Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
And yet Floyd looked half spent twice against Maidana with the same man on his payroll.

Either way, he would never have beaten floyd and this will close the arguement forever.
I'm not naive, I know it won't Stop but the allegations of Pac using peds without proof is unjust. Guys who used have been caught, Manny passed every test ever taken. The rumours will continue but with no proof, doesn't seem right to me. I'll say no more about this here as I know it is a Floyd thread. May the best man win.
Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
If Maidana and Cotto can take 5 rounds off of Mayweather, then Pac can take more and likely stop Floyd along the way. Mayweather is a great, but is fading and I can see Pac buzzing him all night long. I see Floyd getting beaten up and retired.
Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
There will be a rematch if it is mildly close, just to milk it even more.
Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
I've read that there's no rematch caluse but I'm sure there will be one if it's close or controversial, like when the Miadana fight seemed close. Floyd has one fight left after this so who else could he face for that much money?
I think the result will depend on how much PAC steals the first third of the fight with a knock-down or two. It's the only chance he seems to have, I think.
PS.: I can imagine him extending his career far too long for his own good if he looses that 0.

Johnny Nelson said that Floyd insisted on a rematch clause.
Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
Lots of folks here are just too overconfident when it comes to Floyd so this should shake you fellas up a bit:

But don't get too rattled just yet. Even I myself, the tardest of the pac-fans here, am surprised by Nacho's strong assertion. He said it as if it were a sure thang. Hmmm, let me thiink...

Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
This fight just had to happen, but it's five years too late in my humble opinion.
Floyd and Pac have both slipped a bit, but I think Manny has dipped more than Mayweather. A fighter of constant pressure, high energy and with a furious attack will usually start to deteriorate quicker than a defensive counterpuncher.
It's an intriguing clash of styles, the irresistible force meeting the immovable object. Neither guy is in his prime anymore but they are the two outstanding boxers of their generation.
Early prediction ..... and I reserve the right to change my mind several times over the next few months!
Pac starts quickly and wins the first few rounds, surprising Mayweather with his speed and unusual punching angles. He might buzz Floyd s couple of times of even score a flash knockdown.
However, he is ageing and a naturally smaller man, so he can't sustain that pace. Floyd begins to work him out and start to time him with the straight right as he comes in. This makes Pac more cautious, which plays into Mayweathers hands.
Floyd begins to dominate the pace and distance of the fight, by the 9th there is only going to be one winner. Floyd gets a decision or even a late stoppage.
After the fight, Mannys fans say he had aged and Mayweather could never have defeated the 'real' Pacquiao.
Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
I hope Manny gets drugged up with inspiration and just throws punches for ever second of every round and overwhelms the woman beater that is Floyd. :)

Floyd is but he is also a diva and I would not be surprised he has chosen the judges, referee and gloves.

I love carl froch who HAS losses but is he better than JC without any losses.
JC undefeated record meant everything to him and he is arguably one of the best super middles of all time.
Where are you going with this?
I am not going anywhere ? Even if Froch had never lost and Calzaghe had. I could still rate Calzaghe above him. Floyd seems obsessed by the idea, doesn't mean we have to be.

I've read its a three fight deal so hopefully we get the skinny. The MGM being sold out in 15 minutes seems to be a lark. Hotels rooms that were 2 bills a night are now 7. Seats that were 250 to 500 are now 3,000 to 5,000. I dont understand the reluctance on this side of the world to hold something like this in an arena. At least that way every day working stiffs that actually follow the sport might be able to go.

I must have seen it on Bleacher Report or something. Don't know really, but I'm hoping they'll do at least one more for us fans then (if it's close).
It's amusing how eveyone's checking those hotel vacancies. I looked up the Venetian myself, just in case I win the lottery ;D but I obviously won't be going. And those prices for front seats! Crazy world innit.

Nacho has predicted against Floyd before. On multiple occasions. If you want to build a case it's best to point at how much worse Floyd's legs looked last fight than Mannys.
Yep.
Nacho knows best.
Close the thread.
Jeez.
yep imp knows best:rolleyes:

Relax, buds, it's too early to get rattled. Just to calm your nerves, I'd say Floyd does have a chance and don't you forget that.;D

Floyd will be TKOed and I am very, very happy with the thought that he will retire after his fight with Manny .

You tell 'em Bruce Lee. I hope you are right, but I fear there is a rematch in the small print.

Thats true but manny is not an mma fighter and doesn't fight dirty.
The sad fact is that manny should have changed trainers along time ago like khan did as Freddie roach has no new tricks up his sleeve.
Floyd not an MMA fighter?? No he's a WWE superstar with his forearm smash. Floyd is a DIRTY FIGHTER!! After all don't forget he KO"d the BIG SHOW!! ROFLMAO. Told a big porkie saying he got paid $20 mil for it too Vince McMahon LHAO at that one
Re: Floyd Mayweather 48-0
There'll be drama but Floyd's boxing and ring IQ is too much for Pac. Pac gets outclassed.
