mate, if theres nobody at your weight then you cant be matched. go along if you want, somone of your weight might turn up for spares... but its unlikely
your a heavy bastard for your age.. you stacked?
try and get in for some other fight nights and events... but at your weight you will have problems fighting... when i was 16 i foght at 14 stone and i could never fight anyone of my age. i always had to plead with officials to let me fight some of the older blokes, but most of the time they said no.
i have gone down in weight alot and the road runnin and trannin every night is really puttin me down cos i know there isnt gona be any1 4 me to fight but i am findin it hard atm cos of all the work. i spar wit the older blokes and i dont get batterd i do my slippin get in and out dont try any kabab shots and i get in with the lighter lads and i can keep up with there pace. but if i went down 2 12 7 wud that be a more realistic weight
are you holding mostly fat or muscle ? any chance of a pic ?
no i havent but i am carring both :-\ and i just wanna fight
i'm 23 and i weigh 13.2 stone with a low bodyfat %, i would like to see a photo!!! :o
seriously kid, i think you need to lose weight as i cant see you being the same body shape as mine
depends how tall he is though
He could be, theres a 15 year old Junior at my gym who weights slightly less than me (under 13 and a half) he's slightly taller than me and although he's not as conditioned as me because of his age and the fact I spend every day in the gym almost his body fat is pretty low, He got his card at the start of the season and hasn't found no one yet. Was a spare at my last fight but as usual no one was there for him to fight, shame reall because he's a good strong boxer for his age, he would most likely just be fighting short fat juniors.
i am 6 foot and i have tried to get a pic so is there no chance at all of a match up this season :'(
Theres a chance, just not a big one... ;)
so would i have 2 wait till i am 16 for a match up.........how shit
You'll half to lose some weight. :-X
iv searched for some fighters using a matching service at my gym for u at your age and weight i searced for anyone with 10 or less fights the program was fucking up though so ill post the results when i get them this will give u an idea if there are many 15 yr olds at tht sort of weight
thanks alot buddy ;D is wud really help me ive bin watin 2 long years for my first fight
Depends how tall he is. Especially at a young age weight loss can be a bad thing. Can really take its toll on your body if you are naturally that weight. Being light never means you're fit.Quote:

ye but its a bit more extreme inside the ring mate its not like sparring u rele have to work hard
my friend, youll need alot more than that. even when we go in for 3 rounders, we train 6 rounds of 3 minutes. i train for 10 rounds now, so i can fight 4 round fights.Quote:

also, try punching as hard and as fast as you can, while moving. see if you can do that for 3 minutes. now add the possible factor of minor malnutrition, cause you havent been eating properly as you need to make a weight. now add nerves, the pressure of an entire crowd watching you. now add another guy whos gonna try and hurt you as much as possible, and will be doing exactly the same thing as you... it starts to get complicated. being hit in the body will also make you even more tired... the ways to be taken out of the game are endless!
cheers for the advice hopfully i can use it all but after 2 years tranning i do feel ready to have at least a kids gloves
after all the messing around for months i am finally fighting :) in kirkby this wednesday :)
