You could always just go there and have a backup cctv location, wait for the brokers t drop the price on the unsold tickets at the start of the fight, if its still not cheap enough watch the cctv. I brought my daughter to a sold out concert with nose bleed tickets, once the concert started, brokers offered up front tickets with the original face value of @280 sold me 3 for $60 less than 10 rows from the stage.Quote:

Of course brokers get the first crack, Promoter's love this because it's that's the way to drive up the demand for the tickets. You can blame Mayweather and Arum for the extreme price demand. By holding back the tickets, it creates even more demand and guess what? They get to make under the table money. Brokers have the capital to pay more than the face value and absorb the risk on any unsold tickets they get. No tax on moneys above the face value. The only time high ticket demand becomes available to the public is when the performers/promoters release the tickets. The fighters get cheated out of the extra gate revenue when the promoter controls the tickets but this time its only Pacquiao and the IRS that will get cheated.Quote:

Im trying to get Paddy Powers to do a promo. Have a bet on the fight in April and get entered to a draw to win flights, hotel and tickets for the fight. Thats probably your best chance of getting tickets if youre not willing to pay.
Decent card on Thursday and Friday which should be easy enough to get tickets for if you already have flights booked.
I'm sure Showtime and HBO have the rights for the replay. Don't know if it's both or one but that's usually how it works out.Quote:

I was looking for this ice hockey game, ducks vs kings or some bigger games, and tickets was like 250 dollars, and i went to the stadium site where they sold tickets, and a big sign, tickets for 120 dollar just this hour really close bla bla, proper site as well. I bought a ticket, booked a taxi to the game and after, (so i can have a few beers) when i got there and was bout to go in, they told me i bought a parking spot. The biggest fight in the world ever and its been thrown together in a couple of months and still no tickets available?
Normally you'd expect a fight like this would take 4 to 6 months to make not a couple! Obviously things have been going on between the two camps for years but to actually market the fight which to be honest they haven't to the lay person.
I remember when. Mike Tyson was fighting in the nineties. Everyone knew that him and Holyfield were fighting months before they did. I can ask someone who doesn't know or follow boxing and they will have heard of both boxers but have no idea they are fighting let alone each other and in 2 weeks.
There wont be any tickets available to the public. Maybe a few 5k tix of something like that. The "cheap" ones wont be available. If there are any they wont be available to buy will just be for display to say they were there and sold out straight away. Tickets all going to celebs, boxers, friends and family of the fights and casino high rollers and a few too package deals.
I wanted to enjoy the build up to this fight. Iv never been to Vegas and said I would make an effort to go for this fight and experience the event but have never got in to enjoying it because the tickets still arent available. Its fucking ridiculous!
How can people go ahead and spend money on flights and hotels without tickets, or even the hope of getting a ticket!?
Its turning out to be a massive let down and the fight was never going to be that good anyway.
