Sweet.
No matter how good or bad this game will be, there's no doubt this'll force EA to up the ante on their future games as they're no longer holding the boxing market exclusively.
Great news!
Thats suicide.
We all know Fight Night is suprior to anygame out there, and if they use the stick controls they would be called copiers, and if they dont, the game would be a crappy button bash.
i cant get to that site rite now. . tell me the name of the game . cut and paste the info please???
Fight night is the king yes. . because there are no other contenders at all. .
if this new game can add more elements tha Ea is not producing than it can win
And lets face it. . the game controller has sticks and bottons. no many more ways to be able to use defense or offense now is there?? i remember that there was a title being made by climax in the UK called TITLE DEFENSE but is was canned and the screens for the fighters were off the freaking chain!! finally someone challenges EA. in my opinion. . EA dropped the ball with fnr3(xbox) like i said before. . the punching realism is great but everything else has lacked badly.
when i get the 360 and play that version i will see how great it is besdies the graphics. . . the grapkics are not even half the game. Victorious boxers for ps2 the game play was better than EA KOK until FN 2004!! EA NEEDS TO ADD MORE STYLES LIKE THE PEEK A BOO THAT IS NOT IN THE GAME
FROM GAMESPOT NEWS!!
2K Sports reveals upcoming lineup
In addition to NBA, MLB, NHL, snowboarding, and tennis (both standard and table varieties), the Take-Two subsidiary is stepping into the boxing ring.
Take-Two Interactive today held a conference call with analysts and investors to disclose the company's Q1 fiscal results, which ended January 31, 2006. Although the numbers were bad news for the company (a $29.1-million-dollar loss, compared to $55.2 million in profit from the same period before), news of the company's future plans looks great for sports fans.
Even though Take-Two baffled many by announcing a next-gen table tennis game this week, it should come to no one's surprise that the company already has plans to continue its long-running 2K Sports franchises. NBA 2K7, NHL 2K7, and College Hoops 2K7 are already in the works and are all expected to be released in 2006.
2K Sports has already shown that it's not content to use its exclusive third-party rights to Major League Baseball to release just one baseball game per year. Last year, the publisher released a standard version of its annual MLB 2K game, as well as a World Series Edition, which added various features and bonuses centered on the Fall Classic, later in the year.
It appears that 2K Sports may do something similar in 2006, though it isn't clear how. While the company named the specific titles of its forthcoming NBA, NHL, and college basketball games in its earnings report, it chose a different path for its baseball games, merely stating "additional products based on the Major League Baseball license."
So what could these additional products be? Though history states that another World Series spin-off is likely, it could very well be something entirely different. The MLB-rights agreement clearly states that 2K can, in addition to simulation-style games, make arcade, strategy, and management MLB-branded games.
2K Sports is also promising more tennis and snowboarding games in its fiscal 2007, which will likely be further editions of the Top Spin and Amped franchsies, respectively. One sport that 2K is venturing into for the first time is boxing. Though no details were given, the game is scheduled for the company's 2007 fiscal year, which begins in November 2006, meaning that Electronic Arts' Fight Night series may have a title contender by this Christmas.
For more information on the company's recent-past and future, read GameSpot's coverage of Take-Two Interactive's earnings call.
YES!!! I KNOW THAT THE XBOX ONLY HAS SO MUCH POWER AND IT WONT LOOK AS GOOD AS 360 BUT THE CAN LOOK GOOD AND STILL HAVE BOXING REALISM!!! I KNOW IT CAN.
THEY SHOULD DO AWAY WITH THE HAYMAKER - THIS IS NOT TOUGHMAN-
MAKE IT HARDER TO JUST KNOCK OUT SOMEONE. MAKE US LEARN TO PACE OURSELVES. MAKE US BOX AND NOT JUST TOUGHMAN FIGHT.
MAYBE EARLY IN CAREER MODE WE CAN FINISH FIGHTS EARLY LIKE WITHIN 4 ROUNDS. BUT AS WE GAIN RANKING. . IT SHOULD TAKE US LONGER TO KNOCK OUT SOMEONE BUT SHOULD OR COULD GO THE DISTANCE!! I WANT TO BE A TESTER OF THE GAME!! I WILL BE VERY CRITICAL AND I WANT TO REALLY HELP THEM IN TESTING THE GAME!! I WOULD SWEAR TO SECRECY!! REF IN THE RING YES!!(360) XBOX I DONT THINK CAN HANDLE THE REF IN THE RING.
TRULY IN DEPTH CAREER .. LET US SELECT 3 MINI GAMES TO TRAIN THE FIGHTER FOR THE NEXT MATCH, HAVE DIET INCORPERATED IN TRAINING AND HE SHOULD ONLY GET FAT IF WE TRAIN POOR OR FEED HIM TO MUCH. I KNEW MICROSOFT COULD DO THIS WITH NO PROBLEM
FUCK YES! YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHEAAAAA!! 2K!!!!!
FUCK YA! ;D ;D ;D

i doubt they can use the total punch controll, which is the reason i like FN more then any other game ever, but i hope it effects fight nights sales so EA goes out and purchases a better roster
No shat ;DQuote:

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT STICKS OR BUTTONS??
when a boxing wants to much he just punches. to put a combo together he deosnt say that he want to perform that combo the most difficult way. . . he does it the easiest way. Learn to play the game both ways. 2K should have the ability to use the sticks too. . Why not. dont cry about nfl street , nfl blitz, madden, espn football, or any baseball games having the same controls.
it is the game presention and gameplay that makes the game!!
I have been wanting another company to make a real sprots boxing. Like bring back sega's greatest heavyweights, Nintentdo should have redone Mike Tyson's Punch out and made it more realistic. I knew that Microsoft could do it. there was Climax entertainment that was doing Title Defense but they scrapped the game!! And it looked sweet!! No less than 5000 polygons a fighter!! there were no real fighters but i didnt care at all. And i still dont. You dont need real fighters to make the game great!!! Total punch control is not the key factor for a boxing sim. The Gameplay, real simulation, presentation, and graphics. The game should take you deep inside the fighter experience. Give you that escape and fun we all love in video games. Here comes 2k and they are gonna dethrone EA. I wonder if any other game makers are gonna do somin
they need at least 18 fighters each division, at least
the sticks were what made you HAVE to decide what punch to throw, except for the damn button mashers >:madQuote:

i think with fight night 3, the ea guys got so excited using the new technology for the x box 360 by making the fighters look and react so well, they actually forgot about the games presentation.
No excuses ! This is a business and they just gave us what they wanted to.What's going to happen when we get round 4 with the same issues? :bananastyle: we'll get the same results.
it's the ea way, they do it with all there sports franchises
Is there any new info for this game?
THAT IS WHY PARRYING NEEDS TO GO . the boxing need to be set at a pace where you need to use strategy and combinnations at the right time. juast like a real fight. whether you use buttons or the stick, it should not matter because of the gameplay. the game should make you have to pace yourself, if you get caught with a good punch then you should a nice amount of energy not go into a state of knockout. the slippng of punches should also be companied with punch on the slip if you throw the correct hand while in in the slip.( like tyson use to do). the training should be more realistic. the managing and decisions, press confrenece should be more realistic. balance of the fighter while moving should move more fluid and lifelike. fighter tendancies in situations should also be enforced. the bottons or stick play id overrated and should not be the major selling tactic of the game. . make this game real simulation boxing and you se a game the crushes fight night series hard!!!Quote:

how do we know if FN is king when there has never been another game to challenge it
I'm just hoping this new game makes EA put more boxers on FN. I just recently played FN3 and I'm not really impressed with it at all. Limited amout of boxers sucks.
they made good editions dlh for example but took out some of the best boxers in that game imo liston , tarver , mayweather and mosley
um sorry guys but there will be no boxing game by 2k sports, a mate of mine emailed them and they said there is no plan for any boxing game to be released. and besides there has been no official statement made by them.
i would have to agree with ronsaxton. the punching realism is amazing but everything else is limited. there aint many boxers on it what so ever. no mayweather,no liston,no maricano.

Why just pressing the buttons insn't good enough for people is Beyond me...

in boxing the fighter deosnt say. . hey i throw my the hardest way so i have to think about it. he just throws the combination. so whether you like the sticks or the buttons.. it is your choice and dont be mad cuase some uses either. . it is the way they like to fight on the game. .
that is not the big seller of games at all .. . ( total punch control). If you really want total punch control . . make it where and can puch lightly or real hard if i wanted too. . that is total punch control. i want to be able to hit and punch while slipping a punch. . ..
the best thing to seel games. . it the incredible game realism and presentation. . 2k is still making the game for for release in 2007 and take two is working on it. all they need is graphics, realsim, and game play, total punch control is not the game seller. . big names is not the game seller. . no matter how many real fighters you have in the game if the gameplay and presentation lacks. . the you will find all that glitters aint gold
Well FN is one of the best games for 360 I have. Its the ONLY GAME I can truely say I've got my moneys worth out of on 360. Its very fun to play... some people just can't seem to use the stick, which is fine - using the stick takes more time, and also gives more thumb blisters... which is the only major down fall to the game... they wanted to make a update with more fighters for Xbox 360 live, but they scrap'd that idea shortly after it came up. I myself think the fighters is abit LOW yes, but either way you can make your own fighters. The Xbox live is pimp juice also for the game. Either way I like boxing games in general. The training system HAS TO GO! THAT TRAINING SYSTEM IS A$$. Its very easy to get 100% of the performance of the training, but EVERYTIME... you must repeat the boring process of training your fighter... auto-trainer will only give you 50%... junk. I want to see training on a speedbag also, jump-rope'in and hell even running, more detailed training in general would be nice. Along with that I don't feel like I had much options on who I was fighting you get a list of 1-5 guys to fight and thats all... sometimes you get hit in the weight-in area... pointless but adds abit of hate to the person you'll be fighting against.
Either way I'm down for another boxing game. Real fighters don't matter to me that much, its if the games realistic that counts to me. Detail = realistic... some areas FN didn't pull hard in.
just my crap 2 cents...
*Goes to play FN3*
Do you know what i cant understand...Quote:

Each style needs to be different.. they said you could make 80 different styles in the last game but basically they mostly looked the same and punching styles are just useless!! How about a style develops depending on how you play the game.
You have a base style. And your punches and style develop depending on how you fight in your career. If you use the jab mostly then your jab will be a powerful quick and snapping punch. That way no punches will be the same speed unless you work with them in the gym and in sparring and in the ring. That way styles can really be different, and you can develop a dominant hand and style.
that would have to be on a next generation console for sure, but it's a good idea.Quote:

The better you percentages, the better your punch gets.
They should develope the punch in three ways instead od two... Power/ Speed & The ability to put punches together.
oh it happens. i used to get them but my thums are so calaused (spelling?) over it doesn't happen anymore ;DQuote:
