This is him on the scales
I've seen bigger elephant seals.
Chris Arreola has got very big...SPARE TIRES.
Holy cow. Career high? Chris looks like he just rolled outta bed..with a hangover :-\
He was in decent shape vs Stiverne. What a waste
Poor fella has flapjacks.
262 he weighed in, he was 239 vs stiverne
His Jesus is getting stretch marks
It was decent for him, ideally he should be around 225 by the look of it. Talked about it in another thread but it's just a shame some of these guys don't take being a professional athlete seriously. I don't know what they expect to happen. Arreola couldn't even be bothered to get in shape for his big fight with Vitali years ago, in front of his home town, where a win could have launched him into boxing stardom.
His tattoo artist requested more canvas...;D
No point even fighting if he's not going to come in shape, what does showing up fat against a no hoper do for him? It's a He could still be in contention to fight anyone except Wlad if he put in a good performance here, bizarre that he wouldn't prepare himself at least a little bit.
thats the problem with HWs. its too easy to become complacent. its a super weak division and you dont have to make weight. arreola is at least 40 pounds overweight. thats just ridiculous. did he even train? i feel like you cant be that big and actually train. even if he eats a lot, thats pretty fat for somebody who is supposed to be exercising daily for at least a couple of hours.
.....titties.
He probably figured there wasn't much point getting in top shape for an opponent like that.
I'm sure he'd come in around 240 again for a top competitor.
I think 240 is prime weight for Chris. That's his best weight.
Chris doesn't win with athleticism anyway.
Bit lazy though that's for sure to come in 260.
That fat guy fight was the best and most exciting fight this weekend!
Harper fought his ass off!
I've never seen any Arreola fight that was not good to watch.
Guaranteed action from the moment the fight begins to the end.
I hope Chris campaigns for one more push at a title.
In my opinion there is still considerable dispute on whether Deontay Wilder really is the best US boxer still when compared to tittes, and even to aged Tony Thompson!
I'm surprised you can even bring yourself to still post about Arreola, given where you had him a year or two back;D Tony Thompson would be a great test for Wilder, Arreola would get knocked the hell out and lose to Thompson as well imo. The fact that this one ended up being a good fight(which it did and all credit to Harper for his effort) doesn't change the level of fight it was. Wilder would have knocked either of those fatasses out in the first round easily imo, and he's still got some question marks himself.
I am prepared to face the fact that Arreola MIGHT be done at top level now.
But I don't think that any top boxer fighting him, even Klitschko, would consider him a joke.
He is always dangerous.
I think for our entertainment arreola has to stay at his current weight and fight guys like he did last week.. I thought arreola was a class above in the first round when faced with the guys wild swinging and was very close to stopping him in the first but harpers heart and arreolas lack of fitness/fatness really made it a pretty fun sideshow. I like arreola he really goes for it, I hope to see him back in action fat or not, he puts in an entertaining effort.
He should definitely get his fat ass into shape and stay there if he's gonna stick around. He must have got depressed after Stiverne and hit the iced cream or something LOL
I have no problem with Arreola being chubby but conditioned!
I think 240lbs was excellent for him!
But being over fat and unconditioned through lack of training, well that's BS!
Arreola is not a sprinter or a weight lifter, which are not necessary inputs for a pro boxer per se and so he will never achieve a ripped body, but he cannot be a serious competitor coming in like that.
