Should be a great fight, can't see how it won't live up to its potential.
Floyd-Manny is overshadowing everything.
This is beyond a sicko matchup. Be surprised if it doesn't live up to the FOTY billing. Although I don't believe anybody in the world, around Matthysse weight, can consistently get smashed in the head by him and not end up unconscious.
I can see Prod taking unbelievable punches, having his own success, but ultimately ending up face first on the canvas.
Looking forward to these two guys going to war. Can't wait for this potential FOTY, can't pick a winner either both can KO the other.

This has to be an intense walk through hell for both. Fantastic fight. The selfish sadist in me hopes for a draw so they'll have to do it again ;D

i cant see how this wont at least be a FOTY candidate. matthysse should win and needs to fight smart. he shouldnt try to show how tough he is. provo only knows how to go forward. i dont think provo lasts the distance. he may not be down for the count but his face will probably be busted up enough that the doctor will stop the fight.
Agree with everyone , this is going to be a bit of a barnstormer. I'm just leaning towards Matthysse in a Brutal fight that goes all the way, but he will have to box a little bit smart. Could be a split decision though.

Matthysse by late tko. Provodnikov gets stopped due to his face breaking up unless he can get to matthysse early.
Matthysse proved his power when he fought Peterson , Provodnikiv will come to him , I see a war for 4 rounds then Matthysse lowers the boom.
But I must say I don't remember a more exciting matchup for many years.The winner must fight Maidana , for another classic !!!!!!

Mathyse might be a little more tactically aware of the two and has the ability to adapt abit better. If he doesn't engage and uses the ring to walk ruslan onto shots that's his best chance. His power vs peterson looks even better now after last weekends fight between lamont & garcia
Having said I do think ruslan is mentally stronger. He will not take a backwards step but after Mathyses loses he's learnt he isn't indestructable. Provo gave tim Bradley the beating of his career and he was a top p4p fighter.
So hard to call but if ruslan doesn't mark up and gets stopped on damage I give him the edge as the man is relentless. Will not be denied

Leaning towards Prod here. He looks be each outing. I felt bad seeing him beat my favorite fighter Alvarado ( is he in jail yet) but he did it in impressive fighting. Lucas is the perfect fight for Prod style wise, I don't think Prod is happy unless he gets hit. Not saying it will be a blow out in any way but Prods skills are on the incline, I expect improved defence and refined offence and a more menacing come forward face. He certainly has one of the more terrifying expressions when he is coming at you. He scares me and I'm 3000 miles away from him. Damn this should be a good fight.
Its great to have a big match where really I do not care who wins as both fully deserve bigger and better things. Not sure who the ref is but hope he got some sleep last night!! We know Provo can be boxed but one thing in question to me is what kinda shot does he take? Being hit by Algieri, Herrera and Bradley is being in a snowball fight compared to Matthysse. Enough thinking..RING THE BELL :shotgun5lu8: ;D
Bad judging , could have scored at least 1 round 10-8 , Matthysse won by at least 4-5 points.
