Fuck I thought they were fighting each other lol

re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
I know Eubanks wants it bad but I think Saunders wants a title fight.

re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
Won't happen for a while. Saunders doesn't need to fight him, he's got bigger fish to fry.

Re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
Jr is fighting an obscure Aussie - Les Sherrington.
Saunders doesn't have an opponent yet.
Apparently the Spike O'Sullivan fight - for Jr - fell through because Warren wanted a bunch of options on Spike.

Junior wants it bad but Saunders is right he will have to wait and earn it.

He told Eubank that he would put the title on the line in a rematch as soon as he wins it.
He said it live :)

He wanted Spike to sign a 5 fight deal including a mandatory rematch with Eubank if he won. Seems like Warren didnt fancy it making unreasonable demands. Spike has just signed with a new promoter so a long term deal was never on the table.
Sherringtons a poor fighter. A domestic fight with Ryder would be much better.

Warren is a cunt with that offer to Sullivan.

Warren said after the press conference that everything was agreed and that the stickng point was the rematch clause. Apparently OSullivans promoter wanted a shit load of money to defend that interim title. So a good way of getting out of the fight.
Im not sure why Warren would even be worried about any rematch because its quite plain to see that Eubank would beat OSullivan comfortably. Who has OSullivan beaten?

Re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
Warren on why the OSulivan fight fell through from 4.35 in.

Rather easy to see why Eubanks skipped pressers the first time, Saunders takes him apart verbally. Just breaks him down bit by bit, point by point and throws in jokes along the way.

Re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
Saunders sounds like a gutter snipe.
Good fighter but almost everyone agrees that Eubank lost more than Saunders won and Eubank actually does now have the higher profile as he has fought and won in style since while Saunders sits around and hopes Lee wins.
Its a shame that OSullivans team have made daft demands to get out of the fight as it would have been an interesting build up and only further raise Eubanks stock.

What were the daft demands? Not to commit to a 3 fight deal with Warren?

No, asking for massive purses for any contracted fights after the Eubank fight.
Its a way of getting out of the actual fight where they can say they agreed to everything to do with this fight. They just wanted ridiculous money for fights after.

If Sullivan beats Eubanks then his profile would be raised and he would deserve the money he would be asking for?

Exactly, hed be the champ and should be getting the majority of the purse but Warren doesnt want to pay him. Whole things stupid. It should just be a once off fight which was agreed. No need for all these extras.

Re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
Looks like Lee and Quillin might rematch. This would give Saunders a tough choice. Rematch Eubank and risk losing or sit around and wait.

They can talk as much as they like about a rematch, but it might not necessarily be for a belt . Saunders is mandatory and stepped aside once. The governing body won't let it happen again.
Anyway, who the fuck is Quillen to start talking about rematches and where it should be? He couldn't make weight for this shot, the useless prick!

Re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
Surely they'll make Lee-Saunders in the summer with Eubank jr - who will get the winner - as chief support.

Think Warren may rethink these shit fights now Saunders wont be facing Lee any time soon.

I wasn't being sarcastic , Eubank has a good chin , GGG has a good punch so I think it would be exciting.

I actually think after another couple of fights he would have a chance at beating him. Right now he would at the very least give him a good fight.
I would like to see him get the Saunders rematch. He still needs to learn to use his jab better. Against Chudinov he more out toughed him and worked harder than out boxing him and hes still got that to learn. He will learn nothing in his next fight which has the potential to end in the first.
I think Warren will rethink the opponents for the next show, maybe even cancelling it all together and either putting on a WBO interim fight for Saunders with Eubank possibly facing OSullivan or better try and get Jacobs. Id keep them apart a bit yet.
They may end up rematching on the potential Klitschko v Fury bout.
-
Re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
If Warren makes the Klit v Fury fight and IF it's in the UK, I don't think he'll put Saunders v Eubank on the Undercard. He would maximise his profits by making that another promotion altogether I think. However, if I'm wrong , you would have to give Frank Warren credit. As far as Eubank/GGG goes, Eubank would get KO'd in an easy nights work for Golovkin IMO.
With Lee injured, we're gonna see if BJS/Frank Warren's Priority is a World Title or Money.

Re: Eubank jr / Saunders same bill 9th May
Thought this would happen.
Both Suanders and Eubank have been pulled from this show. The WBO have said they can fight for an interim WBO belt.
This could go tits up for Saunders who has sat round doing nothing while Eubank has stopped a good unbeaten fighter and got a decent 12 rounds in to boot.
