Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Floyd simply doesnt punch enough to win a fight like that. By the start of Round 5, Manny will have thrown 400 punches. Floyd? Mehhh, maybe 150. Accuracy is everything, not just punches thrown, obviously, but Pac is way more accurate than maidana was.
Pacquiao’s best chance to defeat Mayweather is right now. Hell, I'll be the first to say that at age 36, Pac-Man isn’t quite the supreme physical specimen he once was. He is not in his physical prime. BUT AFTER GETTING KO'ED BY MARQUEZ, He is not the RECKLESS barbarian out for blood no matter what the cost. Pacquiao’s last three fights are evidence he has changed slightly.
IMHO Pacquiao is a smarter fighter now. He won’t rush into Mayweather. He won’t leave himself open to counterpunches. He’ll keep the fight right at the proper distance, let his hand speed, power and volume punching carry the rounds for him.
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
I don't think he will throw that many in a round, but simply explode in spurts to steal rounds. Mayweather will shell up and lose those rounds. On it goes and suddenly Manny is way up and only then does a Mayweather stoppage seem needed. He then likely gets sparked himself.
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
I tell everyone that Floyd is going to stop Manny. Even people that don't want to hear it!
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
I love Manny Pacquiaio, a real warrior, puts it all on the line and is never in a bad fight. I was dumbfounded when I watched him against Margarito and de la Hoya and pretty awestruck when I watched him blitz Hatton.
I have got to say, though, that while I WANT Manny to win, I THINK Floyd will do him.
I don't think Manny can sustain the kind of volume Brockton is talking about any more.mi think he wins the first few rounds and causes Floys all sorts of problems, but I really respect Mayweathers ring brain and I think he will begin to work Pac out by the fifth or sixth. He begins to time Pac better as Manny slows down and has enough spite in his punches to make Pacquiaio more wary about a full on assault.
Once that happens, and the pace slows down, I think Floyd keeps timing him with the straight right, luring Manny in and setting traps. He may even do enough to stop him in the late rounds.
Alternatively, Pac is super fit, keeps the relentless pressure on and makes Floyd lose his composure, perhaps cutting him or closing his eye in the process.
I hope so, but in my heart of hearts I see the former scenario as more likely.

Featherfisted Bradley had Manny on Elvis legs.Floyd will tear that shit to shreds.
Pac wouldn't go near Maidana...or any WW that can punch.
If arum's exploited little diva can't throw 2 punches without getting countered silly...let alone 110 punches.

Manny couldn't even blitz Tim Bradley..
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Manny needs to throw a high volume of punches at the right time but I think he is past his best years.

Manny needs to stop falling in with his hands down...but that's a habit his shitty trainer can't break.
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Roach's coaching has done alot for Pac. B4 Morales I- Manny was called a left hand fighter- Well midway through his career he learned to throw that right until most wanna be fans don't know Roach helped Pac develop an even handed attack. However, Manny was also called an off-balance fighter to which some claim Roach corrected- the bad IMO with that is that Pac never had bad balance-rather he had the tenacity to throw back-no matter his footing & position.
If Roach allows Pac to revert to that mindset- fuck where U at- make sure you punch last- U get off last- Then he will definately throw more per round than PBF.
If he wins 4 of the 1st 6 or 7 rounds, then play counter Rounds7 & on. If he's up on the cards @ that point; how else can PBF win late rounds unless PBF is in pot-shot mode with an agressive Pac?
In other words, Pac could go all out as some hope in the 1st few rounds- but dont keep that strategy- Floyd will time him like everyone else- Floyd will figure that rhythm- but What if?
Pac is up on the cards 1st 1/2 of the fight & plays counter himself the second 1/2?
One thing I say Floyd doesnt do often if not well is combination punching. He is a laser specialist with pot-shotting, not combos.
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Pacquiao isn't the same fighter to throw 100 punches per round with reckless bad intentions he had before fighting Dela Hoya. Prior to that fight his average per round was probably over 80 per round. After Dela Hoya his output dropped to less than 70 per round with his in and out style for fighting way larger fighters. Against Floyd, his number of punches being up will likely be determined by how much Floyd stays on the outside and sits on his punches to make Pac give way to caution. I would say it's a safe bet if you uses a 60 punch average against Floyd. Any higher than that would mean Floyd is off his game.
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Floyds an activity stealer. Manny has not thrown those kinds of numbers in years and Floyd makes 50 punch a round fighters slow to 10. Roach needs to stop with all these press blurbs about magic right hands and secret training techniques. He's starting to sound like a guy that has no confidence in winning or a man trying to convince himself.
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Manny hasn't thrown a thousand punches in a fight since Margarito which was a long time ago now. If anything his output has declined considerably, but then again his opponents have started to realise that you don't trade with Manny. Bradley did try to throw punches and I think threw more than Manny both times, but he was also on his bike a lot also. Thinking about it Manny seems to be more a 50-60-70 punches a round guy these days which is kind of ordinary. I hope Manny has plenty left in the tank, but he is an old fighter and has a lot of fights on those wheels. I am always suspicious of Mayweather, he wouldn't sign the fight unless there was some chink. I am wondering what that is as Manny even with an ordinary output is still extremely good. Is it the chin? Manny's legs? The declining output? He has clearly seen something and though not an intellectually gifted man, he knows boxing inside out. It has me thinking. There is always something. Mayweather isn't like Toney who will just fight anyone, he always looks for some edge. Surely he wouldn't just bite off more than he can chew?

Always hoping and dreaming.

Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Manny pacquiao the pac - man ko 5 over royd mayweather
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
Don't know why people read so much into the Maidana fight... Maidana was bigger than Floyd and so was able to be fairly effective at walking Mayweather down and mauling him. Pac is the smaller man in this fight. Bullying Floyd isn't going to work for him and I foubt he can outmanoeuvre him either.
Manny can beat bigger men when they're slow and 1 dimensional like Margarito, Not sure he will be able to do so with Floyd.
Re: Manny Pacquiao to Throw 110 punches per round
My biggest questions for this fight.
1. How much will Floyd clinch when Pac tries to get in.
2. How much of it will the ref allow
3. If so, how will Manny deal with clinching.
If he can't hit with the free arm, then that punch out put drops right there. In other words; pac darts in- Floyd clinches.

Clinch???
Manny is the one that can't on the inside.
Pac's inside game is to look for the ref to break;D
