Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
Brook-Gavin Officially Set, Tops Loaded 5/30 London Bill - Boxing News
Brook - Gavin, Linares - Mitchell, Selby - Gradovich...all world title fights. Joshua - Johnson. Ryder - Blackwell. Plus more fights. Luke Campbell and Nathan Cleverly could be on the bill too. Is this PPV worthy?

Re: Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
No way PPV, I'd rather eat shit than pay to watch this
Re: Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
What's up is Hearn testing the water, this is no PPV I hope this trend does not carry on, I like
Brook and Gavin not a bad bill, but hardly PPV is it, I am greatly disappointed and pissed off.

Blame sky and the gimp in charge. They do not have to have 2 ppv fights in May.
Re: Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
They made a success of Cleverly-Bellew so they'll make a success of this. Brook will never be on regular SKY again (until he loses).
The bad thing is, it's pretty clear now the model is - we'll put on a bunch of substandard (for TV) cards for the most part of the year, then stack all our best fights together on one night to cash in.
4-5 fights could be headliners in their own right. Obviously that doesn't make the dough a stacked PPV does though
Re: Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
Sky do not care whether it is a success or not they just want the extra income from unjustifiable contest that should be on the normal subscription channel.
Re: Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
Its missing something.
maybe a big name.
not a ppv.
I have a job.
I'll inevitably buy it.

Success = money. You will be seeing more PPV's not less.
On their own these fights should be on normal SKY. I agree. (i'd prefer everything for free too)
The purses for the fighters involved must come to a few quid. Even a guy like Kevin Johnson is not gonna let Anthony Joshua smash his face in for chump change. Selby and Mitchell are the challengers for the "world" titles.
Re: Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
PPV my arse
was Bellew v Clev a success on PPV ??
Never saw any figures
Re: Brook - Gavin set for stacked PPV card may 30th
Sky don't release figures but a couple of hundred thousand buys was bandied about in the boxing press.
If these cunts didn't make a killing they wouldn't be striving to make more and more PPVs.
Froch PPV fighter.
Brook PPV fighter.
Quigg-Frampton PPV fight.
Khan-Brook PPV fight.
DeGale-Groves PPV fight.
And if you havn't got a PPV "fight" you just stack all your best fighters together on one night.

Do not give me the money argument as you sound like Hearn/Warren. The fighters may get a bigger portion but in reality the promoters and sky get the lions share for fights they would be showing normally.
The standard of boxing on ppv has fallen and standard contests are now classed as ppv. Utter rubbish. Greed kills the sport.
