The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
In my eyes, I don't see Manny getting the nod even if he puts a serious beating on ole floyd.
Manny HAS to get a KO. Vegas judges and refs are corrupt as f**k!! Why does Floyd never fight anywhere else? lol. And what ref/judge would dare go against vegas' #1 draw??? I wouldn't be surprised the the decision/scorecard has already been made.
I just hope Manny has been working on cutting off the ring, cuz come may 2 its gonna be another Mayweather track meet. go Manny!!!
-
Get all your excuses lined up, no surprise.
Every time I imagine you drinking Clamato juice pretending it's blood as you make your excuses and I laugh and I laugh.
-
Well Alvarez and Maidana have come close on a couple of cards against Mayweather in fights which weren't close enough to score as draws so it's not inconceivable to suggest Pacquiao could actually get the nod in a close fight. Especially since controversy would probably mean there would be a rematch, which would generate probably even more money.
-
Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
I actually think if anythings dodgy it will be against Floyd. If Floyd loses a dodgy decision you have to imagine a rematch would be even bigger than the 1st fight.
I can see the scorecards having huge discrepancies and plenty of discrepancies with the fans too given the fighters styles. Either way we are likely to hear fans crying robbery
-
Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
I am getting in early and crying "Robbery!" now. Just haven't decided which way yet.
-
Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
As long as CJ Ross is not a judge then both have a decent chance for a fair nod.
-
Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
It's vegas, people do anything for money
-
Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
If Canelo and Maidana can get a draw on a score card and Dela Hoya got a split decision, then I think Pacquiao can get a decision easily, albeit controversial, so there will be an even bigger second fight. Floyd is on his way out and Vegas loves the money not Floyd.

You chat some shit if anything floyds going to get fucked over, he's had some right dodgy score cards over the last few years. I have no doubt if the fights remotely close pacman will get the nod

Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
Although Floyd has had some close decisions he is always on the right end of them so I believe Vegas will not allow him to lose. Even a close victory will mean a rematch.

America has 0 love for Floyd...last I checked Vegas is in America.
Judges in vegas have already tried to screw him so I don't know what you are talking about....hell....you don't even know what you're talking about;D

Floyd didn't run from your Brother Canelito...why would he run from little Pactrash?

Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
It's hard to say because the only real "gift" decision Floyd got was against Castillo 13 years ago, before Floyd had any real power in the sport. Regardless of what people might want to think, DLH and Maidana didn't beat Floyd. We've seen Floyd get split and majority decisions in fights he clearly won.
I'm not going to pretend to know what goes on behind the scenes: judges have the power to influence BIG money, so it would be foolish to think they were incorruptible. Nobody can say for sure if Manny can win a decision against Floyd or not, but personally I don't see it as a big issue. I don't think Manny can physically outbox Floyd over 12 rounds anyway. If he's going to win the fight, it's going to be by stoppage IMO.
So hopefully both guys are paranoid about the judges, and it puts more pressure on them to go out and push hard for a finish.

I agree with you on that. I've had a feeling if Pac wins 4 rounds they will give him the nod.

Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
What people are realizing his Floyd has won all of his fights by pure skills of his. He never really needed the judges aside from 1 or 2 times (castillo, maidana). I think those were just good luck on floyds part getting the nod.
I don't think this is a big question at all. I think if there is somebody that rivals Floyds Vegas connection, that would be Pacman. Pac is good friends with Politicians in Nevada, California and DC.
IMO it is Flomos who would need to worry because it doesn't matter to Al Haymon anymore if Floyd stays undefeated in his last fight. Haymon can't make money from a retired Floyd, why do you guys think this fight with Pac finally happen?
Cashcow getting cashout. Just like Oscar vs Pacman, feed the cow to the wolf. Holyfield spoke about it, he said don't tell people about your retirement plan because it's in your last few fights you find out how many friends and enemies you truly have.
Remember when Floyd said he would never do business with Bob Arum and that is why the Pacman fight wouldn't happen? Too bad for him Al Haymon doesn't mind doing business with Bob Arum ;D

Tell that to the judge who gave Floyd bail just so he could fight and contribute to the economy of Vegas.

That bit sounds a lot like what Arum is doing to Pacman, putting his cashcow up for the slaughter once he milked everything from it and there are no other options left.

so Aurms been trying to casout pac for 5 years? Lol. Or it's Floyd at the end of his big contract with NBC and very near retirement. Haymon has hundreds of fighters for his contract for NBC, he planned well with out Floyd And ofcourse he would force Floyd to end it with Pac.

No he hasn't been trying to do anything other than milk pac before he gives him for the slaughter. Arum is a lying piece of shit so don't believe a word that comes from his mouth. He's the guy who was going on about some stadium that mould make more money (corvette has already mentioned).
All I'm saying is that Bob Arum is a snake. I have nothing against Pac I like the guy and I believe he just does as he's told and Arum take advantage of it.
It's pointless pointing fingers now with the fight less than 2 weeks away.

Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
I've yelled at too many flat screens and cursed too many faceless judges to think that any one fighter is immune to being fooked. Really though its Manny who is fan friendly and at the front of most of the promo, if anything that can easily trickle down to officials.

Crawfold is nowhere near being a household name so sit down hoe. The kid is good but he has no following.
What magical outdoor Stadium? Never heard of this.
You flomos underrated Bob's loyalty to Pac. Bob is a boss and you clowns severly underrated Pac's Boss statues. Bob knows Pac has many political friends and not just in the Philippines. Betraying Pac is harder than betraying some rich ghetto boy who would never get anybody to vouch for him. Anyways you fags would never believe this but thought I'd at least try to enlight you clowns that can't accept Pac's ability in and out of the ring.

I don't blame you for feeling that way towards Bob Arum. But like I told that fag Corvette. Many people underrated Pac's connection and Boss Status. The guy is a wolf disguise as sheep. Like any good politician but Pac may actually truly have a good heart and good intention to change things.
Anybody who's been with Pac won't say anything bad about him, including ARiza who is now in camp with Floyd. Even Oscar won't say anything bad about Pac although Pac kinda took a free million dollar signng bonus from GBP in the past.
Think about it. Pac is in more control than he makes people believe. He just doesn't act like a diva ala Floyd about it.
-
A wide decision, yes. You know what I mean, a fight where Manny dominates with a KD or two.
A fight with many close rounds, or where momentum swings back and forth, Manny will not win.
I don't expect Manny to dominate the fight, he could possibly get a KO, but not win a majority of the rounds.
If it goes the distance, Manny will lose, in my opinion.

Sir, you could piss me off, if I let you.
You need a decision to win.
Floyd is the man in Vegas. Fact, as Fenster would say.
Floyd is going to be doing business with Haymon long after he retires. Man, think!!
Hell man, Floyd is cashing himself out. Shiiiiiiiiit! Think man!
People change their minds everyday, that's one of those beautiful and exasperating things about humans.

Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
This actually is going to be an interesting subplot. Conspiracy theories have been going around (Holyfield mentioning it as well) that the cards may go against Floyd to create a lucrative rematch. It's boxing...it's Vegas...so anything is possible. The interesting point Holyfield makes is that the powers to be don't like the notion of a guy going undefeated and then hanging it up. They want the cash cow to keep fighting and generating money as long as possible. It's a super shady world of high stakes gambling with huge amounts of money involved. Nothing shocks me when it comes to the business of boxing.

Like you say anything can happen in boxing, but I can't see it happening, not in this fight.
Everyone is going to be watching and scoring this fight!

Re: The BIG Question: can Manny get a Decision against Floyd in Vegas???
I dont wanna say to much it might affect someone, but i don't think manny will win with a decision, only chance for him with a KO even that will be hard, he need to put floyd into seize mode to win over him and to convince everyone around. but thats my opinion, and I don't really care of who wins just putting my opinion out here.
