Frampton v. Quigg - Who should be blamed for it not happening?
Who is more in the wrong? It appears the most lucrative fight for both of them by a long shot yet they can't seem to strike a deal. Is either party more at fault?

100% McGuigan. Shame and could really back fire on Frampton. 1.5 mil is life changing. Quigg is only fight that will get that money for Frampton and if Quigg loses to Kiko or Donaire that money disappears.
I understand what McGuigan wants in trying to get himself as a major player as a promoter but surely Frampton beating Quigg will boost his position in the long run?
Re: Frampton v. Quigg - Who should be blamed for it not happening?
Hearn and Quigg are to blame. They should offer double what they are offering and are short changing and disrespecting the true champ.
Long live Frampton and ITV.
Re: Frampton v. Quigg - Who should be blamed for it not happening?
So, the consensus is that it is Frampton's side that is holding this up. It's a shame because I would pick Frampton to win.

Forget the consensus I speak the truth and Quigg is lucky Frampton is sticking to his contract with ITV.
Re: Frampton v. Quigg - Who should be blamed for it not happening?
Scott Quigg.
Frampton challenged him live on sky sports while Quigg was a pundit.
Directly after the challenge it cut to Quigg in the studio and he couldn't talk, looking off the set to someone like he didn't know what to say.
Quigg has that annoying habit of avoiding questions he is asked directly.

Frampton and Barry McGuigan didn't even attend any of the meetings according to Hearn.
I think the £1.5 million offer was a bit of a stunt but at least we know Quigg's side were trying to make the fight. McGuigan clearly has a thing against Matchroom

As usual, @Fenster with a great post. This sounds reasonable. The $1.5 figure was probably a stunt where Hearn knew that the fight wasn't going to happen. With that said, at least they attempted it, and it's not like Frampton came back with a counter offer etc.
It's a shame because it would be a colossal fight in the UK and the world at 122. I'll note that I wouldn't mind seeing Rigo or Donaire up against either Frampton or Quigg.

The true champ? Nobody is talking about Rigondeaux why mention him? Neither Frampton or Quigg want to fight the true champ.
Rigo is the true champion because he beat Donaire. Frampton nor Quigg have a win over the likes of Donaire. Frankly, Rigo or Doniare would be massive fights for Frampton or Quigg. I've read that Rigo is sitting out his contract until 2016 so he can sign with Haymon, and once he is with Haymon, he'll just be fighting solely on that side of the fence.
Re: Frampton v. Quigg - Who should be blamed for it not happening?
I think they both want a few soft defences before they fight eachother if i'm honest. I tend to think the Hearn offer was more for show than anything. Other than Rigo, Santa Cruz and maybe Donaire, there isn't much knocking about at 122. Rigo is a guaranteed loss for either fighter. Donaire is a danger if the Walters fight didn't finish him off, as is Santa Cruz. I think Quigg vs Frampton is a small stadium fight if it's left to brew properly, and stadium fights are summer occasions, so i can see them avoiding eachother until next summer. Maybe Quigg can fight Kiko Martinez and Frampton can get a beatable name like Romero maybe. By next summer it will be interesting to see where Kid Galahad fits in aswell.
