Cheers Greenbeanz. I'll go big on this fight. I'll say Pac by KO/TKO at around the 10th. Imo, speed will be the key factor here and I think the fans will be in for a big surprise in this department. I see Pac wearing down Floyd with volume of punches and overwhelming him with power punches - his feared left - in the end. I'm not counting out Pac going down as I think he will be aggressive in this fight but Floyd has never been a one-punch KO man so I think even if Pac goes down, he will get up and continue to finish the fight, I mean a flash KD. Just watch out, I think you will all be in for a big surprise and I'm not even talking about KO's or KD's here. Go Maaanny!

I had already stated here that I want Pac to win. It's not one of those things where I'll be destroyed if Mayweather wins..... I'd just rather the nicer guy win.

HOWEVER............. regardless of who wins, there is one thing I DO want from this fight:

GREATNESS


I want it to live up to the hype.
I want it to have ebb and flow.
I want both fighters to be in trouble at some point in the fight.
I don't want a one-sided beatdown.
I don't want a controversial decision.
I don't want the fight stopped on cuts.
I don't want a fouling contest.
I don't want incompetent reffing to ruin the fight.
I'd prefer a knockdown or two.

In short........

I want the casual fan off the street to say:

"DAMN! So THAT'S what boxing's all about. I had no idea. I am a boxing fan now!"


If that happens, our sport wins and we all win.

Call me a bitter old man, but I'm a bit disappointed that we aren't getting more of the undercard bouts in the UK? Five hours is a flippin long time, and although they are full length bouts, their maximum length is 36 minutes each, meaning that before the ring walks, there will be a minimum of 3 hours 48 minutes of talk, videos, analysis etc as a part of the PPV. That's likely to bore me silly, I need some actual entertainment to watch if I'm paying for a PPV.

The build up and ring walks/announcements/national anthems are gonna be stupidly long for the main event.

2 under cards being shown is pathetic but understandable for such a huge fight.

That info about the undercard is for the American broadcast not the worldwide one. They normally stream some of the untelevised bouts for free, so pretty certain SKY will show some of them, that's how it used to work anyway.

Apart from that - yes the undercard is shit. Loma and Cruz have gimmes.

At this precise moment (4:30 AST), 62 percent (21 out of 34) of the threads on page one are of the Floyd-Pac fight.

Can't wait for the damn fight, just so we can stop seeing all these threads on a daily basis!!

Hope so, they've only got the two main fights listed on their schedule, but about fifteen for the O2 card in a few weeks.

Anyhow, even if I have to sit through far too much of the talking heads telling me about every nuance and habit of each fighter, when it comes down to it I can't wait to see them go at it.

I am staying up to listen to this great fight in memory of the old days of the wireless.

So excited for tonight, gutted I can't have a good night out with the boys who are all looking forward to the big fight. As I have the biggest fight I've had to date next Sunday :(. That doesn't mean I still won't have fun watching such a classic fight which is going to be one to remember. I'm backing Mayweather to win this but it will no doubt be his toughest test and one where he's going to be out of his confort zone. That's not a bad thing because we haven't really had to see floyd dig deep very often, I think he will be dangerous when he has to. I don't see how this fight will be boring at all. It's highly significant in boxing history and it will be one to remember IMO.

Sorry mate, it was actually held at 9pm Japanese time to cater for their audience, so it finished about five hours ago. Waved off as a Technical Draw after three rounds after Mayweather suffered a cut in an unintentional face to ringpost clash.

Teddy Atlas is on ESPN on the TV with Hopkins discussing the fight. Never realised before but Atlas is a Grade A fucking bell end.
