This should be ppv! This is the real fight we have been waiting for!
Go Tam beat the southpaw properly show Floyd how it is done.
Good luck mate.
Post it on Saddo's if you record it.
Fucking A Big Tam! Remember all I taught you from my keyboard! Score a big KO and make me look good
Remember that left hook to the body can drop that front hand and open up the big right.
Beat him Tam, in the face
Good luck Tam. What's his pro record like?
Jimmy Hawk - Boxer
Not the best but I've heard he had a lot of amature fights too. He's a Krav maga coach too should be an interesting fight.
Hasn't fought in a while I see. Krav Maga? Make sure you have a good cup on mate, all that shit is just blasting people in the sack.
Just do your regular thing Tam, keep the head moving, keep the hands busy, remember to breathe when you punch, and everything should fall into place for you.
Me and my main coach
to be fair, all his opponents had positive records, they weren't
pushovers, he's probably pretty solid, but he is 44, so you have to take advantage of that.
I know you won't take anything for granted, but just stay busy and stay focussed. I'm no fucking coach, but I do envy you. Don't leave nothing in there mate. :)
1. Don't get your dick knocked in the dirt.
2. Be more better than him
Careful. Ignore his record and age and all that. He's thinking upset. Probably knows every trick in the book. Protect yourself at all times. Keep you hands up on the breaks. Let him know it was smarter not to attempt the comeback;D
Weighed in at 13 stone, fighting at 6 I'll post the result when I can.
Good luck Tam.
Lost a close majority decision. Barely was touched he was just hard to nail with anything. He was the home fighter so they gave him the nod. I couldn't let any punches go compared to normal because he was a southpaw. I'm gutted but shit happens.
Oh well. Dust yourself off and get back on the horse. You seem pretty active and that domestic scene along with Mexico is probably the toughest on the planet. Learn from it. Southpaws are a tough nut and this guy probably new some tricks to keep you off.
No pain no gain. Have a boo at Benny Leonards first 25. He was barely batting 500. It aint over.
Unlucky pal. Look at the positives , southpaw ex pro and a very decent one, you must've learnt a lot tonight. Keep plugging away , the buzz of getting between the ropes will keep you motivated.
Southpaws should be banned.
Do not worry Tam.
Pre fight picture. There was no Shame in the result if it would have been a home it would have been different. All experience no doubt. I'll post the video soon

Last round of the fight
Tam that was an elusive southpaw like Herol Graham who are awkward to catch.
He also ran and held more than Floyd Mayweather so punches in bunches with an elbow punch below the belt thrown in was what was required to slow him down.
You must have felt frustrated.
Sorry you lost Tam, but it's a learning experience vs an awful style. It takes a cagey fighter to steer a guy like that into traps and big punches.
I am interested in what DID work for you though, because often in thinking about what DID work, you're better able to figure out some sort of rhyme or reason as to why other strategies failed AND why new strategies might work instead of the ones that didn't.
So where did you have success Tam?
No shame in losing. As long as it was a fair fight and you enjoyed yourself.
Challenge him to a bit of thai boxing and kick the fuck out of that lead leg.
I've watched it back and I think I got a draw at least. There's no way he clearly won the fight by him being the home fighter they have given him the nod. I was the aggressor. I was backing him up nicely and letting my straight punches go. Was tough to hook him really because he was so slippery. I hurt him early in the fight and after that he was happy to just hold on. He caught me with a few overhand lefts but apart from that I thought I was in control.
Disappointing really but I'm going to do my best to stay away from southpaws for a while. I find it much harder than normal. I'm boxing again at the end of June and first week in July and I'll be back better than ever. I'm feeling a lot better at 13 stone and you will see in future fights how I've improved.
