Lol. Fury fights odd and unorthodox and that and his size makes him an actual formidable opponent for once. I dont think Wlad will be able to execute his blanket routine with him

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Looking at the way Wlad fights at least Fury will give it a go and make Wlad close the show instead of 12 rounds of come dancing.
-
Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Can't see it doing Wembley numbers but is a stadium fight.
I give Fury a good chance too. A 40-year-old possibly on the slide against a 26 year-old fast improving massive lunatic. Perfect.

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Good fight to look forward to.
-
Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Excellent fight and where we find out how good Fury is.
Haye will be one bitter little bitch when Fury wins because Furys win over Klitschko eclipses Hayes whole career.
Imagine how big Fury v Wilder will be for the unified championship!
As good and effective as Klitschko has been for so long the division is about to get exciting!

Big bro would be the perfect sparring partner

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
I look forward to watching this on channel 5. It is going to break records for a boxing match back in the days of Benn v Eubanks. :)

Fury fights like a big easily hittable oaf. Sure he's tried to BOX more recently but vs who? Christian Hammer? Dereck Chisora? Joey Abell? Steve Cunningham? Vinny Maddalone? And he's ready not just to FIGHT Wladimir but to beat him?
Wlad won't have to clinch...it'll be Tyson doing that as Wlad shows Tyson just how far he is behind the curve athletically and with power punches too. Wlad has fought and beat fighters larger than himself before and he's had a relatively simple time doing it.
-
Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Fury is gonna get sparked
-
Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
I mean don't get me wrong Fury fans, I am sure you're all very excited about the fight and as well you should be.....Fury will actually be fighting someone dangerous, someone he could (and WILL lose to). Where does Fury beat Wlad? How does Fury beat Wlad? I think the only way for a guy like Fury to beat Wlad is to fight more like Wlad than Wlad does...Fury doesn't have concussive power, sure he can stop fighters but for 6'9 260 he doesn't really punch like he has all that weight behind him. Fury's best shot is to absorb punishment (as little as possible), make Wlad move a lot, make Wlad throw a lot, tie Wlad up and wear him down. Fury is 26 years old, he SHOULD have the lungs to get that accomplished and Fury SHOULD have a good chin, but we don't really know how much he can take do we? And that was the issue with Jennings wasn't it? Wlad will push the envelope for Tyson Fury, he'll tag him to see if he can get a little wobble in him and then maybe see if he can get the KO, but I expect it'll probably go the distance and be a lot like the Maruisz Wach fight with Wlad just hammering the shit out of Fury.
It will be interesting, but how do you Fury fans see him winning? I can only think that Fury will try the Purrity/Brewster path as he doesn't have the dynamic power to pull off the Sanders way and given how Wlad has been fighting, he's much too smart to fall for gassing out again, unless he's FORCED and it'll take a herculean effort to force that out of him.

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
I can't wait for the build up to that one, Fury's antics will be hilarious. But Klitscko sparks him in 6.

I do not think Wlad will spark him.
I believe Fury will come in his best shape and Wlad will hear about it and delay the fight. Wlad will play a lot of mind games and hope Tyson cracks.

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Fury could very well get violated but based on the attributes he does bring its the first heavyweight contest that has garnered interest in me for years. Fury looks pretty comfortable as a southpaw and is certainly not slower then some of these sloths Wlad has faced. Nor is he rinse and repeat. Based on those factors, I think he has a legit shot.

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
If Wlad takes thos fight then he will forever be known as the fighter who ran away from his biggest rival and career and era defining mega fight - Shannon Briggs.

He is known for his big ko power like Sanders and Brewster.

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Better to KO Fury first, to set up a mega fight with Wilder.

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Wladimir Klitschko truly is the Joe Louis of this generation.

You mean biological brother, or like black people's "brother"?
-
Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
Joe Louis
66 (KO 52) + lost 3 (KO 2)
Wladimir Klitschko
64 (KO 53) + lost 3 (KO 3)
These guys are brothers in boxing!

That's not fair, Fury hasn't punched himself in years... I give him at least 4 rounds before before he does it again

It was sposed to be a sarcastic retort that clearly Louis didnt have a bigger brother to duff up the tougher boys for him. Have to admit though, I didnt find it that that funny

I read it like "Who was Joe Louis, Brother?" In a Hulk Hogan voice. I laughed after another couple people quoted it, but I'm not sure why either;D
Honestly don't give Fury a chance in hell here if it happens, not sure why anyone even finds it an interesting fight.

Re: Wlad wants Fury in the UK
The only difference is that Joe Louis lost the majority of his fights at the end of his career. Wlad will be the opposite, if he ever loses he will retire permanently.

Why Hulk Hogan?
I hear it more as Mr Bean
Edit, I get it now!

Because he is at the twilight of his career and a loss now would more than likely retire him. Why take every comment an attack?

I didn't take it as an attack I just took it as a baseless comment. Yes he IS at the twilight of his career, but you're jumping to a conclusion saying he'll retire...you didn't even put in a "maybe" or a "he might" those at least you can defend by saying "Well he IS at the end of his career" in which case I "MIGHT" have agreed with you.

Its like you asking me to put “in my opinion” in front of my threads. I do not have to. I believe he will retire should he lose, Wlad is rich and knows that the road back could be a long one. This is obviously dependent on the manner of his loss and who it is against.

Fine Master, words don't mean anything
