Or should he just retire>
Based on his performance in the Mayweather fight I could of swore he was already retired.
Do you think Manny will retire after he fought Mayweather for 12 rounds with a torn rotor cuff.
He will fight at least two more fights, a tune up fight and one more, in my opinion.
With all of the record breaking money May and Pac made, it is hard not to predict there will be a rematch despite what either camp will tell us at the moment.
I wouldn't mind seeing Pac retire now but like I said, there is still too much money to walk away from. Haters can say what they want but nobody has the star power Pac has globally. And combined with Floyd they do insane amount of numbers. Everybody will try to say they won't buy it again but stfu sheeps, you all will buy it again ;D
There are a bunch of guys Manny could fight if he wants to stick around. Literally anyone not named Mayweather between 140-154 would still be very interesting, and rightfully a big event.
My top picks would be Thurman, Brook, or Maidana. All really hard fights, but imo much more winnable for Pac than Floyd was, and it's not as if he took any damage in that. Of course he might have to wait 9 months to pretend his shoulder was actually injured, who knows.
He can resume his PED use now that he's got his big Mayweather pay day...
Manny may never redeem himself; he just might retire and be the politician he wants to be. However, my guess is that he will engage in an easy confidence-builder type-fight—maybe against someone like Jesse Vargas—once his injured shoulder heals in about nine months and then, and only then, will he be faced with the BIG decision.
Any of the young and hungry Turks that Floyd seems to want to avoid like Brook, Thurman, or Khan offer a reasonable degree of redemption, but also present an equally reasonable likelihood of defeat. If redemption is the goal, Pac-Man can double down by fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for fifth time. And if he beats him, sweet redemption could be the reward.
Did I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again? Yeah, but I changed my mind. At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward… If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter.’”—Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Will this "avoid" nonsense ever end?
Some said he didn't fancy fighting Hattons style, he fought him and made him look easy. Some said he would avoid Shane, he fought him and made him look easy. Some thought he was scared of the big young Canelo, he fought him and made him look easy. So many claimed he was terrified of Pacman, he fought him and made him look easy. Does the wrong and broken record ever end? Floyd has fought a who's who at championship level for 18 years. Stop with the nonsense, because it is disrespectful to all those doing less and every fighter out there does less.
He's disgraced himself so much with his performance and the excuses that he should just retire and be a full time politician, where it's the norm to lie, make excuses and not do what you promised.
IMO just do a Canelo and fight weak opposition that is tailor made for him, he already put in a similar performance as Canelo against Mayweather, might as well start fighting guys who have been inactive for almost two years and who just come straight forward, he'll probably fight Alvarado or something like that and they'll make it seem like if he beat up GGG
Manny's retirement gift is a knockout, with Floyd on the floor in case of rematch.
Pac could never really beat Jmm and ended up getting fucking knocked out cold in the end. Mayweather is Jmm on crack and his craft makes it look like Jmm never been in a ring before. If you can turn Pac into a Hearns or Leonard he can win so figure out how to do that ill watch that fight.
yea cause he showed anything that gave the implication that a rematch would end any differently :-\:-X get off the shit dude, your prophet is a false one who never was nor never will be better than Floyd Mayweather when it comes to the sport of boxing, he took his final exam and failed miserably
And Mayweather's didn't??? Even Floyd Sr was asking" Why are you fighting scared Floyd"
Considering his injury I think Pac did OK at least he tried to make a fight Floyd just ran as usual. Also considering the NSAC controversy claiming they didn't know Manny was injured & the NSAC commissioner resigning watch the fight again? Every time Floyd clutched & held he tugged on Pac's arm as hard as he could. Floyd knew he was injured & still RAN!!!! If people sue over this they need to sue the guilty party in my book THE NSAC!!!
