The bad taste from May-Pac gets left further behind
For casual fans it doesn't matter. May-Pac was the only fight they were interested in, and it disappointed. The rest of us have seen some good, action-packed fights to get that bad taste out of our mouths. Canelo-Kirkland, although woefully predictable, was full of action.... courtesy of Kirkland's bumbling headfirst style. Canelo just accommodated the poor bastard. Tonight it was GGG taking out Monroe Jr., with first a good glimpse of Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, dismantling poor Edgar Sosa. Three high profile fights..... three KO's. And May-Pac gets left further and further behind in the rearview mirror. Good riddance.

I'll be honest I never even heard of Gonzales until last night, I think it was the first flyweight fight I watched since Donaire/Darchinyan 1, but I'll be goddamned if I'm going to miss one of his fights again.
I think it's a really good time to be a boxing fan, there's so much exciting young talent today.

But I quite agree with you Tito having now recovered from Bill Paxtom. These were fun, if somewhat minor fights.

I've been thinking the same thing. All of these people mad about the mayweather and Pac fight saying there wasn't enough action and posting all of these highlights of great fights from the past on Facebook saying that only brawls are real boxing. Now there have been those kind of fights and nobody cares. People just like to complain.

Roman Gonzalez sure looks like the real deal. He totally destroyed a good fighter in Sosa. I cannot wat to see him again
GGG won convincingly again but give credit to Willie Monroe he never gave up till that final KO assault. How he came back from that disastrous second round showed his courage. You can take GGG's hint that he" let him back into the fight to get some rounds in" with a pinch of salt I think.
GGG needs the winner of Cotto-Geale next. I'm tired of people saying Cotto isn't a real middleweight heck he claims to be the linear World Middleweight Champ time he proved it I think

You've got to be kidding, right?
Pac was downright timid on occasion against Floyd, limiting his offense to periodic clumsy rushes inside. Once inside, he was frustratingly ineffective. I don't remember Floyd getting tagged hardly at all. GGG is methodical and cuts off the ring well. He won't be scared of getting planked like maybe Pac was. Floyd is incapable of hurting GGG. They both know this. So GGG will basically stalk Floyd through all 15 rounds. Before you compare it to Floyd-Canelo.... don't bother. Floyd made Canelo look amateurish all fight long. He wouldn't be able to do the same to GGG. Sure, he'd win some rounds, but he wouldn't be able to stay away from the pressure for the whole fight. Eventually the Kazak would find him and hurt him.
To compare Floyd-GGG to Floyd-Pac 2 is beyond ignorant.

That's a good point.
Floyd will dismantle GGG like he did Canelo AND Pacquiao.
Floyd has the speed and the movement and the ring generalship and the reach advantage.
GGG won't be able to hit him.
