This 'Thread' has no legs.
As for a boxer loosing his legs. That usually happens on 'Fight Night' when he walks up
the steps to get into the Ring.
See; Hilmer Kenty
A prime example of a boxer loosing his legs right in front of your eyes.
As for the 'best legs' ever on Television. How about a little 'Bewitched'.

Naah.
I sincerely suspect one of the posters that has contributed to this thread has down syndrome.
In seriousness, this fight was so shitty it was hard to detect much slippage on his side. Saw a little more holding and running but that was just tactics. I see no reason why Floyd can't go for and probably have success with 50. I can't see a reason why he wouldn't.
Agreed, but he didn't have to move all night below 140 because he could punch, so it's tough to say. I don't think we've ever seen a significant decline in a short time or anything. For a 38 year old his size, with as many fights, his legs have held up incredibly well. The Maidana fight was hard for him because thats a swarmer, probably the best he had fought since Castillo for that matter. Cotto also did good work coming forward and making Floyd reset. Guys who box with him and try and pick their own spots are going to make his legs look fine, until they truly are shot. Think DLH or Alvarez.. Guys you could say were easily strong enough to test his legs, but they didn't have the style to make it that kind of fight.
Correct.
Floyd requires 3-Months of preparation before a bout now. His leg strength will always be there.
It's the other things {Holding and Stalling} that is on the rise now. Nothing more than 'smarts'
and 'Ring Generalship'.

How is this even a question? Floyd moved the whole night to keep Manny out of position. Definitely no slippage or loss of mobility from his legs, unfortunately.
A person would have to be blind to not see the difference in movement from his days at 130 to now. Or to not see how Floyd is off balance much more now which almost never happened until about 2006 and has increased little by little. Until 2014 it increased significantly. But the movement he needed against Pacquiao wasn't the movement he needed against Corrales. Against Pac he simply needed to be able to half step back and reset as Pac initiated to make Pac reach and exposed for the counter. That movement is still there. That movement will still be there if they do it again in 2016.
As for the tell tale signs. The answer is balance. Footwork is about balance. To be in position to defend and attack. If you are not able to do both because of where your feet are then your footwork is failing.
Whoa Nellie !!!
Are you stating that Floyd's footwork is failing.
The guy prepares for a bout, with a 90-Day intense training camp with the 'best' Aerobic
Instructors around.
Have you ever seen Floyd jab-and-duck while Training on the 'Balance Beam'.
An incredible display of balance.

Mind, I always respect how Floyd comes in in prime condition. Manny looked a bit loose, flabby and old to me. If it isnt the injury then his hunger has gone.
Let's not talk about peds or past opponents or even hunger.
No more excuses.
The better man won and that's it.
If pac won he would have been the better man and floyds hunger has left the game ages ago.
The legs on floyd have held up and he stayed of the ropes this time and controlled the fight well.
His legs and footwork are vital at this point.
Either,
You're in Love with Floyd,
Or, Manny dropped a 'load' in your mouth.
Which is it ?
"Tell me Rocco, just what is that is bothering you about Manny."

Roach comments have a lot to do with raising this issue.
Floyd also is correct that if he uses his legs: fans will say he ran.
If he stands like he did with Corley or Cotto, fans will say his legs are gone. In other words he can't win that argument.
I have an argument : Floyd has great movement, that is based on legs.
An example of foot work is Bhop.
He is the master. Floyd's foot work can't compare with Bhop's.
Mr Ron Swanson,
You're so { 'anal' ytical }. You saw all that in Floyd. What perception.

I see more than that in Floyd Mr. Paxtom. I think physically he is near gone. He's just smarter than people is all. People still think he is fast, I disagree. He is still quick and his timing makes people think he is fast. I think he looks downright ragged the last 2 years. He's just so much smarter than his opponents it doesn't show. I think Floyd is desperate to be done with boxing because he knows how far he has slipped physically.
Mr. Ron Swanson,
It is understandable to state that Floyd has 'slipped' some at Age; 38.
How much has he slipped, maybe 10%.
That is far from being done.
But the man does pride himself in being at the 'best' physical condition possible
at all times. Lets give him that.
